The night was beginning to come to an end and I'd been honored to share it with my Marie_Lucania. Standing back up in the press box watching the sun set we stood together. She had been quite busy with all the congratulations she had received family, friends, and passersby. I was quite fine with her having the spot light this was her time. 

When the crowd started to dissipate I made my way back over to her letting her know that there was another surprise waiting downstairs. Her eyes lit up as we had already planned to take off for New York as soon as time would permit us to do so. I took her by the hand and led her down a few flights of stairs. She was uncertain of the surprise ahead of her, but I knew it would be one worth waiting for. Walking down towards some offices we stopped to hers and I jiggled the handle.

It was locked, so I knocked on the door three times in a pattern. Once the door opened it was Diogenis and he had the same look on his face Marie did. I was glad that Freeman had not had a chance to ruin the surprise as he probably assumed that I would be the one to do that. I held the door open so Marie could enter and I entered behind her shutting and locking the door. At least two of us were completely confused as to why we had all gathered in such a peculiar place. It was a big day for Double Eagle as well as the city of Los Angeles.

"I appreciate you both being here with us even though you aren't quite sure what is going on. Trust is the name of the game and I am happy to be your host. Before you are two boxes on the table one red and one blue, each of them has your name already engraved on it. Diogenis I have bestowed on you the ultimate opportunity in becoming the leader of Chicago. You are someone I trust extremely and know you will doe Freeman and myself proud. My trusted Captain Marie_Lucania will follow you on the journey into the windy city. ",I said standing back as they went for their boxes.

Diogenis and Marie both opened the boxes at the same time revealing that they each had received a key. Though still uncertain to if the key went to a house or new car they looked confused.

"It is my privilege and opportunity to give you both they keys to your very own district. Through hard work and dedication you have both earned this opportunity ten fold. This is a journey that I am very excited to see the both of you take. It will be a lot of fun watching you both thrive in your respected areas. It is a hard day for me to watch both of you go but I know it is for the best and wouldn't have it any other way moving forward. You have both been a blessing to me and I appreciate everything you've done here in Los Angeles.", I said trying not to choke up.

"We will have your men quite busy getting you moved while we are off in New York tonight Marie. Looks like we might not be flying home together and I may be visiting the windy city on a more routine basis.",I said smiling at Marie.

It was a proud moment for me knowing I could give them both something not everyone could. They both deserved the opportunity at success and I was glad I was the one to be able to be there for them.

The four of us made our way back outside as the sun was about to set. We all stood there, it was a moment to remember.I grabbed for Maries finger holding onto her hand as the sun set in Downtown Los Angeles, a moment I'd cherish for a lifetime. Some mobsters in attendance started getting word of the good news and came over to welcome us with a few champagne bottles ready to celebrate. I stood by her side as many came up to congratulate her and Diogenis on their respected moves.

Thank you Godfathers Roman and Freeman for the opportunity you have given me. I can assure you that I will do my best to make you proud for giving me this honor and showing me this kind of trust. Together with Marie, we will work hard and make Chicago grow and become a great city once again.

You have both been strong role models in how this thing of ours works and hopefully we will be able to continue to the same road that made Los Angeles a great city, in so many ways, for all it's members.

It would be a lie if I said that I won't miss the city of Los Angeles. I had some of my best memories there but now it's time to create new ones in a new place. And knowing, Marie will be a strong and solid pillar for Chicago, I feel sure our times here will be as joyfull as the ones we had in Los Angeles.

Thank you both again.

Marie smiled at Diogenis and nodded her agreement.  "Yes thank you both for all you have done.  I am so thankful for the trust that you have put in us.  I know Diogenis and myself will work hard to make you both proud." 

She squeezed Roman's hand, "I will miss having you near, but we can make this work.  I have no doubts.  

"This is a proud day. Though I am saddened to see you leave I knew you were destined for greater things." said Freeman.

He stood shook the hand of his friend before turning to Marie who had just finished giving a hug to Roman. Freeman walked over to her and extended his hand.

"The bond between us may not be as strong as it is between you and Roman but I do wish you the best in Chicago." said Freeman.

He paused for a moment before facing them.

"I wish you both good fortune in the times to come." said Freeman.
