Police Corruption Started by: Obito on May 17, '18 05:53

Corruption.

Corruption is typically defined as someone who commits fraudulent activity by those in power, could be within the mayor's office or really within anyone, just depends on how much it's valued. Know where people hit at it the most? The police department, yeah, the people who are hired to protect and serve the public and uphold close community relations; now, not all of the cops are bad, some actually do their jobs and are the good ones as people say and then you have the bad ones who fall for the greed of money although it is not always money; the people keeping tabs on them might have something on them that can put them away or they're simply paying them off or they're being threatened. Little did you know, the bad ones do shit for us mafioso in this world; you need a rival mobster's money down the drain? Easy, send cops after their places of business, arrest their underbosses, go for their top lieutenants.

Then you have the president of the police union, Frank Russo secretly being paid off to keep his mouth out of affairs of the mob and with an important word to sway the opinions of others: He was being paid off by a rival mobster that Obito recently had engagements with, one of the rival's lieutenants was having a meeting with the rest of the capos to discuss making moves on his businesses and he could already see it happening, the thought of it is just a prequel to what happens after. One of those dramatic movie scenes which places Obito with his top soldiers ready to place them out on the front line and get theirs hand dirty, boots on the ground type of deal: He'd consider a show for the ages if it went down like he wanted it to.

Then you have New York's police commissioner: Michael D. Hawkins, he's the boss of bosses when it comes to the police force in general, officers get in a line up when he walks into one of their precincts and could have you fired without reason on the spot, that position came with power and power made people hungry, don't believe what you hear? Listen to what gets put out in the newspaper and how some officers act with civilians and if you kept your ear above ground level you'd understand more, what happens down in the criminal underworld is only for people who can bear to hear it. The streets talk, news spreads quick so just when you thought you were the only one to know? You're wrong.

Obito reached out to his friend out in Manhattan: Petah. He had just as many connections as Obito did and well, you can't go wrong with having friends in this world, that's just common sense seeing as unless you're untouchable which no one ever really is: then you'll beg for more enemies somewhere along the road. It was around the evening when all of this was going down, moves were being made under Obito's own paranoia but anyone in a situation like this would be paranoid, he made the call.

"Petah. Got a problem I need help sorting with, I'd send guys out for it but it's gonna require a lot more manpower, meet me down by the cafe down, uh... third street? I'll let you in on everything when you get there, trust me, this'll be worth the time." Obito hung up afterwards and turned to face the door, he snatched his keys off his work desk and made his way out of his safehouse that was used to keep anyone out for a while, to lay low in other words. He drove out to Bruno's cafe, Obito knew the owner from way back which is what made the place more predictable, taking a booth in the back and having coffee placed on the table. He waited for Petah to arrive, if he was to make a move, it had to be today.

Report Post Tip

Petah had been relaxing having a drink and planning a night full of listening to Duke Ellington when he received a call from Obito. Obito knew damn well that Wednesday was Duke night and there was no way he would have interrupted unless this was a big deal. He had assured Petah meeting him at the cafe on third street would be well worth his time, besides Petah kind of owed Obito one after what had happened last week. So he got up out of the bath tub and went to find some clothing. Deciding what to wear proved difficult seeing as he really didn't know what they would be doing. Obito had mentioned something about 'a problem' and 'manpower' though so he decided to put on his special comfy ass-kicking suit.

Finding a cab in Manhattan proved to be impossible though so Petah ended up walking. Luckily for him third street was not too far away. He lit a smoke and started to walk. First he bumped into his favourite homeless man in all of NY, Billy. He stopped for a quick chat and threw Billy a dollar before he left... someone had to support the poor guys drinking problem. During smoke number 3 he noticed TylerDurden himself sneaking around across the street dodging bullets left and right. He contemplated stopping to join in on the shooting but Tyler looked like he was way too protected still so he didn't bother. About 16 cigarettes later he was there.

"Hmm... I would have sworn that was only a 13 cigarette walk before. I must be getting out of shape. Good thing my ass-kicking suit still fits!"

Petah proclaimed loudly to nobody in particular as he arrived and opened the door to the cafe. He immediately noticed Obito sitting at a table at the back with a few of his bodyguards at the table between him and the door. He nodded to the guards as he walked past and sat across from Obito.

"Hey there, so what's the problem? Some asses need kicking?" Petah asked making sure to point out to Obito he was wearing his special suit.

Report Post Tip

Obito had a fair idea that he ruined a good event for Petah, but even I knew not to call unless it was important; god forbid he misses one night of Duke Ellington and he has a damn field day, but they both were about to have a field day with top police officials and what they consider as protection but they'd let that worry for later the night. Petah owed him a favor and he called it in, whilst Obito was staring out the window he saw TylerDurden, RobertPaulson and MarlaSinger running down the street while gunfire came not too far behind. Mobsters were later in view chasing them down and shouting "Die!", "Get them! They can't run forever!", "Where you three going?!" and so forth, it made him a crack as a smile as the three notorious criminals were getting a little bit of justice, just without the police involved that is.

Petah arrived soon after in a cab right outside of the cafe as he walks into some homeless guy, but the famous homeless guy out in New York called Billy but sometimes you have people who even hurt the homeless; but the justice system won't do anything about, will they? A question that has still yet to come forth with an answer, or delicate proof. Obito turned his head again because he swore he could've seen something but that's maybe him seeing things; being an insomniac has it's perks.

Obito watched Petah slid into the booth and then leaned forward, he made emphasis on the suit he was wearing, on the low Obito needed to tolerate it considering Petah wasn't that much of a men's fashion type. Obito scratched his chin at the thought and shrugged on the low, he took a sip of the coffee that was served as he asked "Hey there, so what's the problem? Some asses need kicking?" Wasn't only gonna be some asses that needed kicking, was gonna be way more than some but they both knew that.

"Yeah. How do you feel about taking care of a police union president and the police commissioner? Yes, I've thought about it but they've been paid off by a rival mobster, so my plan is... We find them and try to convince to switch sides, or we kill them and then move on to the mobster. This is some just some rival Don we're talking about, important guy but we need to cripple him and his crew, you in?" Obito gave Petah a glance, he already knew his answer but if he pulled off on him last minute? He'd never forgive him.

Report Post Tip

"Sounds like a plan, I am definitely down, are you sure we can't just kill the police commissioner though? Then we can bribe the next g...."

Obito interrupted him before he could finish

"No definitely not, do you know how much heat that would give us? This is why I come up with the plans..."

"Oh come on, only if we got caught. Did you know that bastard actually made me serve a short sentence last week because he caught me selling some, uh.. stuff. I suppose you are right though, we will go with your plan, although I am half hoping he refuses. I wouldn't mind paying this Don a visit.. feels like it has been forever since I used this thing!"

Petah motioned towards his gun, Obito just shook his head and got up from the table. The two of them headed out through the back door of the cafe to where Obito's buses were parked and the rest of their BG's were waiting. Yes buses, the amount of transportation needed to get a combined four-hundred bodyguards around the city with them was bordering on insane.

"Umm, maybe we should try and be a little more subtle tonight. Maybe just bring a few of these guys and take the car?" Petah asked scratching his chin...

Report Post Tip

"Bribe, bribe. That's what I mean by you know convincing to switch sides! Come on Pete, gonna serve your own vendetta for making you serve a little time for a sale? That's why you get reliable connections and make sure you pay off a lot of agents, keeps you in safer hands."

Obito picked up on where Petah wanted to pay the Don a visit.

"See, that's the spirit."

Petah and Obito made their way out of the backdoor to a personal bus transportation with an entire battalion of bodyguards, this wasn't his idea but I guess when you have an insane amount of payed off bodyguards their job is to protect you from danger, they get trained to operate at max efficiency after all. He stopped the buses before they all left and looked at Petah when he stated "Umm, maybe we should try and be a little more subtle tonight. Maybe just bring a few of these guys and take the car?"

Obito agreed, reluctantly.

"Yeah, you're right. Car's out front. Rest of you guys go home for the night." Obito handpicked a select few, Edward was in the line up; he always took him everywhere no matter the job. The group went to the front of the cafe while the buses left and hopefully dropped everyone off, they packed into two separate cars, never know when the cover might be necessary. Of course, Obito, Petah and Edward were all in the main vehicle in the front. Before they could hit the president and the commissioner, they needed to cripple the rival Don making moves out in Brooklyn.

"No survivors by the way, everyone." Obito said in a low tone, he reached under the seat to pick up the Tommy Gun, Edward passed a Remington over to Petah provided he would take it, the rest armed themselves with pistols. The driver landed right in front of rival headquarters and Obito prepared the stack of dynamite, he let the fuse spark as he started throwing the dynamite all over the HQ, blowing several places at once, the group bust through the front door and let it rip. Most of them were incapacitated by the explosions, everyone else died in a flurry of bullets.

"Guy's office is up there. Let's go."

Report Post Tip

As the group of them drove Edward handed Petah a Remington. It was a little bit fancier than he was used to but he accepted it anyways, figured he would see how this thing worked. Maybe he would buy one of his own if he liked it.

They pulled up in front of the HQ and Obito gave everyone their instructions before he started lighting and throwing dynamite through pretty much every window in the building. He looked to be thoroughly enjoying this, as usual. By the time Edward kicked in the front door there probably wasn't going to be too many people left to fight back.

"Man, you and your explosives... it sure is efficient though I'll give you that. Lets go" Said Petah as Edward smashed through the front door and they all headed in. Amazingly there was still a few people left on the mail level of the building but they were dealt with fairly quick. Once the main level was cleared and double checked Obito nodded to the stairs at the back. Apparently the guy they were really looking for was going to be up there.

Obito, Petah and Edward headed up the stairs. Petah sent Steve, one of his guards, around back just in case this guy decided that a second story jump would be a better option than dealing with Obito. Him and his dynamite were really starting to get a reputation around NY. They left the rest of the bodyguards they had brought at the bottom of the stairs.

They got to the top of the stairs and slowly opened the door into the Don's office, all three of them had their guns drawn and ready. As the door swung open they immediately found themselves in the middle of a standoff. There he was sitting behind his desk with a Tommy Gun of his own pointed right at the door.

"You fuckers can kill me if you want, but I am taking at least two of you with me!" He yelled, trying to hide the fact that he was trembling... which was actually causing the barrel of his gun to shake noticeably.

Report Post Tip

"Man, you and your explosives... it sure is efficient though I'll give you that." Obito looked over to Petah with a smirk, he tossed another dynamite stick down the hallway because someone was hiding, they seen it on the floor and screamed and ran towards the group: the explosions incapacitated the guy as he flew down the stairs, Edward couldn't help but look over his shoulder to see someone flying past the doorway. He shrugged and stared back to aim at the guy with the Tommy Gun.

The man shouted "You fuckers can kill me if you want, but I am taking at least two of you with me!" which were big words for someone who is showing signs of fear and anxiety in a single mood, Obito took the man on his bluff and launched a bullet through his skulls, there goes the brain, it pierced the cortex and the shot was so precise and quick that the man couldn't even press the trigger before he died. His head landed on the desk while a blood pool soon flooded out onto the desk. Obito looked down at his Tommy Gun while there was still some smoke being let out of the barrel, bullets and booze were the motto.

"Moron. You believe that guy, oh yeah, take two with you. Shove it up your ass." Obito spoke bad about the dead, especially if they were annoying as he turned around and went down the stairs stepping over the body of the guy who flew past the door earlier, he signaled for one of his guards to bring his improvised explosive creation, it was a dynamite stick with grenades strapped around it. Everyone began to exit, this is probably the first time this single creation had it's own field test.

"Let's get out of here." Obito lit the fuse and tossed the grenade-strapped dynamite stick further down the hallway, the explosion was gonna be capable of ripping the HQ off the earth.

The group loaded back into their cars and sped off before they became charcoal. The dynamite stick went off and practically blew the HQ wide open and anyone that was still inside, well... that's self explanatory, next was the police union president, of course him and the commissioner were gonna be hard to get to. They have a police protection detail at all times, and they have insane protection; in other words, it was gonna be a pain in the ass.

"Police president's next. Need to warn you that him and the Commissioner are gonna be a bitch to reach, they have a dozen cops protecting them at all times, and we can't pay them off; they would rather die protecting who they're assigned to, believe me." Obito gave off hand gestures when he talked, they were circling around to a private penthouse where the president housed himself at. There were multiple police officers guarding every entrance, inside was only worse.

A police officer stepped out from the back room and he was bulky, must've been a serious amount of armor. He was wearing kneepads, elbow pads, a vest and a improvised helmet.

"What the actual fuck is that?" The whole group turned to look at the improvised police juggernaut, the guy seemed to be in charge from the looks of it.

How hard was this actually gonna be?

Report Post Tip

"well then, might need a new plan here..."

They all sat there in the car for a little while watching this monstrous police juggernaut pace back and force in front of the building. Every few minutes another officer would appear from inside, check in with him and then go back in. There was also two more doing laps of the building and who knows how many others inside the building. After about twenty minutes Petah had an idea.

"Okay, if we time this just right it might actually work. Lets watch and see how often the two doing laps walk across the front at the same time that the guy from inside comes to check in."

They sat there across the street for at least an hour, trying to time everything and not miss a detail. The two doing laps seemed to come around front every four minutes, and the guy from inside was checking in every five. The last time they were all out front was at exactly eight o'clock, at least that made the math easy. If everything worked out perfectly they should all be in the front two times in the next hour, eight-twenty, and eight-forty. Assuming the guy inside is exact with his five minutes and the guys doing laps stay at the same pace. It was a lot of what-ifs but it would have to work.

"Obito, how much dynamite do you have left? We are probably gonna need it all. Fuck knows how many explosions that armoured dude can take... he doesn't even look human."

Turned out they probably weren't gonna need it all. Obito turned around and casually pulled the back of his seat off revealing a trunk absolutely stuffed to the brim with dynamite.

"Are you kidding me? We have been driving around with that in the trunk this entire time? Note to self, no gun fights near the car...." Petah muttered to himself, half impressed and half concerned. They decided if they each grabbed as much as they could carry and got out right at eight-nineteen that would be their best bet. Hopefully it all worked out. If not it was gonna be one hell of a gun fight. They all made sure their weapons were loaded and ready and then they waited, still watching the house and trying to avoid being noticed.

"Eight-nineteen, show time!" exclaimed Petah

Report Post Tip

Sitting in the car was just as boring as looking through the windshield. The two guards in the back fell asleep while the second car was still lighting up, studying their patrol patterns was smart on Petah's part but Obito just wanted to get to the massacre, that will be the end of most top police officials tonight. After showing off his stash of explosives off to Petah, his reaction was pretty remarkable. "Are you kidding me? We have been driving around with that in the trunk this entire time?"

Obito chuckled.

"You say that like it's a bad thing. Never know when it'll come in handy, don't worry, not stupid enough to put in harm's way; why do you think this car has been parked back further than the other car?" Obito let a smile, he was practically like The Joker but in a different reality. He checked if his Tommy Gun was loaded and now that he had to deal with armored police, it was gonna get rough and some may not make it out alive but that was the cost of war, it always was.

"Eight-nineteen, show time!" Petah blurted out, it was time. The people armed with dynamite sticks lit their fuses and threw them at the grou p of juggernauts, they spotted the sparks hitting their boots and shouted "Run!" but they were too late, they blew and killed them, they were all over cars and bleeding on the floor while one lost an arm, was not a pretty sight to see. Officers that were around stormed out of the back with pistols and began to engage into a shootout with the rest of Petah and Obito's protection detail, two tried charging the group but were sot dead in the street, one of their hats ended up flying off.

Obito aimed the Tommy Gun and lit the last officer up, everyone else in the estate was on high alert and they dragged the union president out of his office and up a couple floors. They were kicking tables down for cover and had two officers covering both doors, distinct shoutign was heard in the background.

"Call for backup! Get the president upstairs, stand your ground!" Officers were basically shouting back and forth, Obito slid out another dynamite stick out of his jacket and lit the fuse, he tossed it through the window and by the time you know it; it blew and anything else inside and the outside was blown out, anyone hidden behind tables within the radius were knocked unconscious while others were blown out of the window in a fiery blaze. Was definitely something for the books, both groups went in from different entrances.

Obito, Petah, Edward and Steve came in from the front while everyone else came from the back. Unfortunately, officers wearing armor stormed from down the hallway with Remingtons and blew a couple bodyguards down for the count, Obito raised his gun and let out a bullet frenzy with practically penetrated through the juggernaut protection and had them kneel before falling dead. The group proceeded through the hallway and went up the next flight of stairs, shots just continued as they advanced.

Report Post Tip

Bullets were flying everywhere as the group of four including Petah, Obito, Steve and Edward made their way through the second and then third floors of the house towards where the president was being held. Obito seemed to be getting head shot after head shot with his tommy gun, though Steve still seemed to feel the need to unload an entire clip into each body as they hit the ground. He always was overly cautious. That was why he was always the one guard that went everywhere with Petah.

The sound of constant bullets and screaming was still coming from the basement. The guards they had left down stairs that were still in one piece had clearly met the back-up that was called for. It sounded intense but they kept moving.

"Can't go back now, they are doing their job down their they know damn well what they signed up for" Said Edward, he must have noticed Petah and Obito had stopped to listen to the commotion below. Really they were trying to hear if anyone was coming up from behind them so they would be ready.. Edward had clearly mistaken their silence for concern. Just then the main level got quiet and someone shouted up from bellow.

"Hey, all clear down here. We got this!" It must have been one of Obito's men because he smirked and shouted back down to the guy. It appeared if anyone else was still alive up here they must be in the backroom with the president.

They made their way back to the final room of the house, Steve grabbed the door knob and started to count down from 5 on his hand.

"Naah fuck that, I am doing this Obito style... it looks like fun!" Petah said to Steve. Steve and Obito both looked at him a little confused so Petah decided it was best just to show them all what he had meant. He pulled four sticks of dynamite from the bag on Steves back. Steve didn't look too impressed that he had been walking around in a gun fight with explosives he didn't know about but Petah just ignored his glare.

"Grabbed these from the car and threw them in Steve's backpack... why do you think I made him walk so far behind us!" Petah said as he shot a few bullets through the door, creating a small hole just big enough for the four sticks. He grabbed a shoelace from one of the dead guys near by and tied the four sticks together. The other three seemed to be getting impatient.

"Alright alright I know" He muttered as he lit the fuses and threw them through the hole and into the room. The explosion blew the door clean off the hinges. It actually flew just over Obito's head... missed him by maybe an inch or two. Back smoke came barrelling out of the room and none of them could see a thing.

"Alright then, lets go asses the damage!" Said Petah as they walked into the room struggling to see or even breath for that matter. There was no way if any of the guys in there survived the explosion that they were in any shape to fight back.

Report Post Tip

That was it. After clearing out through a lobby of juggernauts and cops, things could've gone on much worse; well, usually they do but people always say dynamite is a bad thing until it gets put into use, if you were to enter the whole penthouse just as an early witness to a homicide? You'd see nothing but dead cops everywhere, there was enough bodies here inside to make it look like the whole department was guarding the president but in reality, they just have a LOT of cops.

Petah finally decided to grow the motivation to try blowing shit up for himself, believe me; if you don't try it you may just never well like it, after he lit a fuse on a dynamite stick while Steve and Edward looked worried that he was gonna blow everyone else up, he threw it into the room and watched as the door gave off slight wind as it flew over his head. If he was knocked out, by the time he'd wake up he'd be blaming Petah for a while. Luckily, luck was the better of him.

With the door being blown off and witnessing the aftermath of an explosion, smoke comes ushering out of the room and into the rest of the hallway but by a while the smoke would clear out. Edward went over to pop a window for old sake, they entered the blown up room and started assessing the damage as Petah would suggest, there were four bodies: three bodies were consisted of the juggernauts they've seen earlier and who knows with that armor, might've only knocked them unconscious and the last one was the president of the police union, Frank Russo. Obito nudged his foot over as he was on his stomach and made him roll over, he aimed the Tommy Gun up and let a bullet launch into Russo's brain.

"Shoot them in the head. Make sure they're dead, don't wanna risk them being only knocked unconscious, this is how you don't fall for people playing dead because some people are actually willing to try it. It's smart if the person trying to kill you is stupid, but I'm always one step ahead."

Obito looked over at Petah with a grin.

"I know you liked blowing this shit up. But a warning would be nice if you plan on sending a door over my head. Let's go, anyway." The four left the penthouse and regrouped with whoever else was left standing, jogging down the street in the night while the penthouse was up in flames with cops surrounding it, dead ones that is. Everyone involved would be officially entitled a cop killer by good moral standards, but in this life no one would ever care to give someone the label.

"Saved the best for last; Police Commissioner Hawkins."

Report Post Tip

They headed back out to the cars, a few men short of  the number they had arrived with. They had one more stop to make before the night could be considered a success, they had to 'take care of' Police Commissioner Hawkins. Or at least convince him to work for them. His chances of being alive to be bribed by anyone when they left seemed slim though judging by how the rest of the night had gone so far.

As they got back to the car and got in Petah was having a hard time sitting still, who knew blowing shit up was so much fun? Well Obito did I suppose but Petah had never felt such a high in his life, it was better than coke.

"We need to do this more often! Do you have a supplier for your dynamite? You're gonna have to hook me up if we make it out of this alive" Petah said to Obito as they got in the car and sped off. They left behind a smouldering pile of ash and corpses. Someone must have thew one more stick or started a fire on the way out or something because as Petah looked out the back window the house didn't even look like a building anymore.

The commissioner lived on the other side of town so they had a little bit of a drive ahead of them. They decided they would pass the time by playing a game of I-spy. That didn't last very though because they kept driving away from the object that was being "spied" by each person as they took their turn. Instead Petah turned on Obito's fancy built-in Motorola radio just on time to catch the last little bit of Duke Ellington night! This night was turning out great so far.

Just as petah was starting to doze off Edward brought the car to a sudden stop which snapped Petah out of his daze.

"Huh what's going on? Where am... oh right sorry" Said Petah suddenly remembering where he was and what they were doing.

"This is Hawkins place, either we get to him here or we don't get to him at all basically." Obito said.

Hawkins spent his day at the police station, not exactly a place they wanted to to go running into in the middle of the day, and he worked long hours. Now was the time. It was so dark out by the time they got there that you really couldn't see much. The house was massive, clearly being the Police Commissioner paid well. There was a gate at the bottom of the driveway made of metal bars and a stone wall around the rest of the property. There was some lights leading up the driveway and to the front door but the rest of the property was just black. Petah stared out the window for a few moments before turning to Obito... who didn't look worried in the slightest...

"Well this isn't gonna be easy. I guess you have some sort of plan for this part though eh? Any idea if this guy would have officers or security stationed here at night? I can't see shit!"

Report Post Tip

"We need to do this more often! Do you have a supplier for your dynamite? You're gonna have to hook me up if we make it out of this alive."

"Do you ever put some faith into the job, Petah? Might help one day, I make it myself but don't tell anyone." Obito gave Petah a goofy face to work with, hopefully his mood would spike up everybody else's mood, seeing as they were about to invade a police station looking for the Police Commissioner and like the union president, he's probably gonna have more than enough guards to battle against several families. The inside definitely had police officers carrying flashlights shining up and down the corridor, a man wearing a different uniform than the others checked up on the guards inside, had a short conversation than went back inside.

Police Juggernauts were doing their daily rounds around the station while one split off for a smoke break and the other went off alone, this gave both teams a chance to move before the security tightened up again, maybe this is the only time they had an opportunity to go in stealth this entire time. Obito loaded up his Tommy Gun and grabbed a backup pistol before leaving the car before he gave everyone else the signal, they regrouped at the main car so the plan could be discussed, Edward looked over the car every now and then to check if the guard was finished with his smoke break.

"Don't use a gun unless you have to. Hand to hand only, kill them or knock them unconscious, your call." Obito and the rest of his squad snuck up through the side entrance and reached a hallway that split left and right, he sent everyone else to the right while the main people: Petah, Obito, Edward and Steve went through the left. They could only hope nothing goes wrong with the other group or it could compromise a lot, but so long as they had the Commissioner in their grasp it wouldn't matter much.

Obito's team reached a door and had it opened, there were guards walking around wielding flashlights; the keys they had on their waistband jingled and created a distinct sound every time their foot landed on the floor, this could be used to their advantage to track someone by the method of sound. Perfect.

"Commissioner is upstairs. Keep it quiet." Obito whispered as they went around once they were clear and were met with a staircase, they heard guards chatting upstairs but the conversation ended as soon as Obito peeked his head around, they split up while the team advanced up the staircase. Edward was signaled to take care of the one who went right whilst Steve volunteered to handle his friend, they were both knocked unconscious by sleeper hold.

The Commissioner's office was ahead of them. Time to discuss business.

Report Post Tip

Petah's ninja classes were finally starting to pay off, Obito had made the call that they should avoid using their guns at all costs so the two of them karate chopped their way into the building and through the house without being detected. Obito was a little more stealthy and efficient than the others but that was kind of to be expected, the guy grew up an actual ninja in some weird secret leaf village somewhere. He didn't really like to talk about that part of his life so it was a bit of a mystery.

Before long they were at the door of the commissioner's office. Steve and Edward had split up to take care the final to guards so Petah and Obito needed a plan.

"Well, there is a good chance he will be armed... are we still gonna go with the whole 'no guns or explosives thing for this one?" Petah whispered, trying to make sure nobody on the other side of the door would hear him.

Obito thought for a second and then nodded to the window down the hall. Petah gave him a thumbs up knowing immediately what he was thinking. The two of them headed over to the window and slowly slid it open. They climbed out the window and pulled themselves onto the roof. They then found the air handling unit closest to where above that office would be, as far as they could tell there was a separate unit for each floor and this seemed to be the one.

"Alright, lets do this then..." said Petah as he opened up the door and climbed into the return duct of the unit. It was a pretty large unit but it was still a tight fit. Each vent they got to Petah would carefully remove to see where they were.

"Nope not here..."

"Not this one either" so they kept moving

"Nope, wrong again. Oh hey Steve!"

As they crawled to the fourth vent they could hear voices below. This was the one. It sounded like there was three men having a conversation down there. They were casually discussing the baseball game from the night before, so obviously Obito's 'be sneaky like a ninja' plan was working so far. They listened to the men for a few minutes before moving in. The ceilings seemed to be a little bit higher than they had originally anticipated. This was gonna hurt a little....

Obito did have efficient skills that usually anybody could achieve probably within a few months of training, but he wasn't raised where people might think he was, training since the age of nine probably left better perks on Obito in later years then it ever would have provided he hadn't, they crawled through the vents are eliminating any upper floor protection which left the Commissioner vulnerable later on. A couple of rats passed Petah and Obito while they went through, it was disgusting considering any of those rats may have some sort of disease and picking it up left the "you don't know where it's been" idea out the window. The final vent came upon them and it was time to eliminate him, would've stated convincing otherwise but let's say charisma wasn't gonna be apart of the plan, at least not tonight.

Obito went through first while the second team busted through the Commissioner's office after killing his guards outside. He reached over for a pistol in his desk and aimed it which made it anymore the case that he wasn't gonna go down without a fight; before he could shoot at the group coming in, Obito made a successful landing on the wooden floors that decorated his office and shot the pistol out of his hand: resulting in the pistol flying over to a bookshelf on the guy's right which later lead to Edward shooting Commissioner Hawkins in both arms which rendered them useless without proper treatment by people who knew what they were doing with medicine.

The irony was kind of high tonight. Hawkins yelped as he was shot and he landed back in his car and wasn't willing to cooperate by the look of his face when he finally was able to recover himself, he did nothing but give the group and Petah dirty glares as they finally surrounded him at once, out of a sudden grasp to struggle for his life he decided to jump over to the pistol but Obito shot him in the chest before he could do anything seeing as it was pretty clear he didn't wanna help and almost like he knew this was gonna happen but that all three threats are essentially dealt with, hopefully the mayor puts another Police Commissioner out that's willing to "negotiate" in certain terms.

Obito looked back at the group.

"We're done here. Let's get out of here and basically split ways, Petah... I'll drop you off on the way, Edward'll drive us."
