Do you look to one day become bold and have your be the head of your own crew? Do you hope want to be known as a legend of killing? Do you want to be known as one of the oldest members of society? Do you want to be known and respected for street speaking? They all have their pro's and cons. for example, to become a crew leader, you have to remian fairly quiet, not kill loads and try and stay out of trouble, not annoy people, and lick a lot of arse. Similar is if you hope to become one of the oldest. You have to be good at avoiding the bullets, and try not to piss people off. If you are motivated by killing and want to be known as one of the greatest killers then the chances are you will not live very long, and wil not rank very high, as eventually you will be caught and killed. However, people will always talk about you as having one of the most feared guns. you also wouldve died having a lot of fun. Then you have the street speakers. They gain respect of others and people listen and take advice from them. However, it is easy for them to get into petty arguments and piss people and talk themselves into a black bag. I see myself as a mixture between a ranker and a street talker. I want to get to the top, but I also want to do so by gaining respect in the streets. I do not want to rank as a mute, and would prefer to die talking, rather then make it high not. Killing does not concern me. So what motivates you to be what you are? |

I believe the ambitious mafioso should strive to be well rounded in all areas of this life, however I disagree with your assessments of each quality, at least in part. I certainly disagree that to be a crew leader, you should be fairly quiet and lick alot of arse. One of the greatest criticisms of leaders is that they were mute up until the point of getting auth. Being vocal is what makes an auth candidate stand out from every other Tom, Dick, and Harry seeking auth. And licking arse? I suppose it depends on who the authing leader is. I think most want to auth someone who is a strong and independent thinker, not some "yes man". Of course, if a leader is looking to auth puppets, that might be exactly what they are looking for, but it makes for poor leadership and overall poor quality of mafia life across the country. Being a "killer" does not mean that you must have a short life. This term you use for a hitman and the description of this person is an example of someone different from the noble hitman of our society. The real hitman is not some serial killer. Serial killers are mentally ill and have no place in our society. The hitman doesn't care if he "gets caught", because his orders come from above and shouldn't be questioned by anyone. What you describe is some raving lunatic who kills for fun. That is not an aspect of mafia life, and if someone becomes deranged and practices that sort of activity, he will never live long enough to become a legendary "killer". The hitman serves a vital function for the family, carrying out contracts when business turns ugly. His death isn't a result of having fun, but instead standing on the front lines when enemies try to take out your Boss. Your assessment of the street speaker isn't too far off. It doesn't always mean that you will piss off someone if you are diplomatic in your use of language, but it happens. I agree with you that it is better to die and be remembered than to live longer and never be heard. These traits are all interrelated to some extent. If you wish to be be a leader, you must be somewhat vocal. You must also live a long life, giving you ample opportunity to train your skills in other areas of business, for example carrying out contracts. The legends and most successful mafiosi of all time have excelled in all areas simultaneously, rather than trying to specialize or pigeonhole themselves into a narrow category of this profession. |

I strive to be a good earner for the family, chime in on the streets if something interests me, which not much does. That's more my fault than anyone else's, as I'm too apathetic to try to fix things, so I just stay in the corner. I actually like your assessments on most of the above topics. The idea of being known kinda appeals to me, my family have never made much of themselves, selling fish for a living to the yanks, that didn't appeal to me. Fisk smiles as he thinks back to the smell of wet, skinned fish being thrown about by the habour while on one of his fathers errands, before he got a more suitable job running around for the mob Times are great now, I'm looking to get my name out, I don't care where I end up or how far I get so long as people know me. Can't beat the good old days though I guess. |

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Why? God knows. I just cannot find anything to get my attention. It is not through lack of effort on other peoples parts as these streets are more active and interesting than they have been in a fair while. My boss has contest after contest running in our HQ and makes the effort to mail me daily. Having spoken to a few other people it is the same with them. They cannot seem to get the same fire in their bellies to actually do anything of note. Perhaps it is us being lazy but I don't think so. There is just something missing... *Tamelo pauses with a thoughtful expression on his face* In fact. I know what is missing. I have no-one to hate, no-one I want to see dead and thus I do not strive to do 'something about it'. It is something that my family line has always had. Perhaps I am the exception to the rule and the anger has subsided as my family line has grown. Meh, Something will eventually spark life into me but until that time I will continue to be a menace to the local 7/11 and listen to what you all have to say from the safety of the shadows. |

Howard approaches and opens his mouth... What mottivates me is the idea that i could be Made and become a part of the family. and for the future i want to be known for my posts,and threads in the streets and to be a old school mafiaso and eventually i want to have my own family and be Bold as you say. |
