Peace Moving Forward Started by: Lucky on May 22, '18 00:36

Lucky stood up from the giant oval table, his eyes blood shot and his nerves a bit rattled from the shock wave that went across the land. Many people had just lost their lives, it was something horrific. Now Lucky had seen a lot in his days but nothing like this. The amount of blood that ran through the streets was enough to rattle anyone that was human. It would always be something he would remember, though it is now in the past. But damn we all lost many loved ones.

The meeting went well, even though it was a bit of lengthy one between them all but at the end they all agreed. He made his way around the table as he began shaking the hands of the remaining crew leaders. One by one they all shook upon the deal that would help regrow this great land. After shaking the last of the hands, Lucky raised a glass.

"There shall be peace across this great land once again. With you all in this room, I'm looking forward to moving in the right direction. Now I know this isn't going to be an easy process, there's going to be a lot to rebuild. I do know this though, with all of us working together we can accomplish anything. Now to toast our newest found agreement."

One of Lucky's workers in his casino passed out a drink to everyone.

"To the success of moving forward together."

They all raised their glasses and took a drink. Lucky then placed his glass on the table and headed outside to make the announcement. All of the current crewleaders made their way out with him as they stood side by side in front of The Mirage.

"Ladies and Gentlemen as you can see here today we all stand as a team. We have agreed to maintain peace in this time of need. There will be a lot of upcoming changes to how you all see the landscape. Some old crews will be moving locations and we will be setting up new people across the land very soon. Just wanted to let you all know for now at this point the regrowth has begun. We will inform you all more as things progress."

Without saying another word Lucky made his way back into The Mirage, a good night sleep was well needed.

Peter made his way through the streets, seem some commotion he wandered over.  Hearing Lucky's speach of peace, and an end to war made him feel happy.  These had been dark days in this thing of ours.

Many congratulations to the leadership for hammering out an agreement.

Joli clapped at Lucky's words, standing beside her husband JasonLeeScott she let out a sigh of relief, they could move on from what the war had taken from them, they could grieve in peace and not have to worry about looking over their shoulder. The war was finally over and today was a new beginning. She hugged her better half finally feeling safe once again.

"This is good, no? Now to aim for the future, a better one." she then made her rounds recognizing her fellow mafioso from Chicago, shaking hands and hugging, having small talks of what lies ahead with the hopes and dreams to be accomplished.

The past days had been demanding and took their toll. Regardless, the meet had been a must to ensure stability in the country. But after the gathering came to an end Dar's thoughts were positive and he shook hands with Lucky.

"It'll be an honour to work alongside you and the others in bringing prosperity back to our businesses. The country was hit hard and while we mourn our losses, it has been good to sit down together and decide on our future. Sadness about loss only is proof of how much we cherish life. It's pretty fantastic to get to shape things together and work with like-minded people towards a time where we can enjoy those things that civilian life doesn't offer us."

It had been the longest couple days that Karnage had experienced in a long time. The future showed promise as Karnage drained his glass and shook Lucky's hand. He still had a couple stops he had to make, some funerals to attend, and eventually, the need for sleep would overpower him and he would fall asleep at his desk. He stood with DarGabrielson as they prepared to pack up and move back to Seattle.

"Nothing brings me more pleasure than working with each and every one of you to rebuild this country. While we mourn the loss of our families and friends, we must remember that we cannot forget about the present and the future. The key to rebuilding our country will be teamwork. Not just among the leaders, but with every member of each respective family. We must all strive for greatness and work together to achieve our goals and make our visions a reality.

I am truly honored to be working with the rest of the leaders of our fine country to rebuild and shape the future of the world we live in."

Marie was very much encouraged by the end of the meeting.  Frankly it had gone better than she could have ever dreamed.  Everyone seemed to be of one accord and mind.  It was hope for a world that was desperately in need of some.  So many had died on all sides, but with peace there was a chance to heal.  Her city needed healing.  She stood and when the Godfather had made it around the table to her she shook his hand firmly and spoke for Chicago.  "I want to thank you for giving peace a chance.  It took tremendous courage on all out parts, but I think we are about to see the fruit from our leap of faith in each other.   I truly believe that together we can build something quite great for all of us.  I am honored to work with you and all of the others towards a better tomorrow."

Elyan nodded, the news of the bloodshed had reached his doors near as the first shot being fired and he had watched on as only an outsider could. On one hand, the stability and peace that had been, was gone... On another, this opened doors for a new order. After listening to the speech made by the one that they called Lucky , Elyan howled in delight, clapping his hands together. This new regime of power wanted to continue in the peace and prosperity that had started with the last regime, under the widely renowned King of New York and his sleepless tendencies... Elyan often wondered if the man was even a man at all, or perhaps he had left humanity behind years before? Regardless, that was neither here nor there.

New peace, meant a chance for his kin to join the ranks of the elite. So here he stood, staring at the new leaders of their world, and grinning from ear to ear in acceptance.

"It's a sad time, but peace is a wonderful thing to come to after so much bloodshed and loss. Thank you for putting an end to this and thank you for helping to usher in a second era of peace. I pray that you may hold the strings as tightly and securely as the previous leaders of our world, for at least half as long... if not longer."

Elyan bowed his head in respect and whistled loudly before slipping back into the pack of wandering mafiosi and vanishing from sight.

Twist paces back and fourth as the meeting is taken place inside the mirage. His mind was scrambling and he couldn't stop the voices from taking over his thought process.

Is it finally over, Is it going to be time to fight more, Who will be next, Whos side should I take, Did someone die in there.

These voices played over and over again until Twist couldn't take it. He began to slap his head over and over trying to make it stop. This is normally when something very bad happens.  Then the front door of the Mirage opens and all the crew leaders come out. Lucky made his speech and twist felt a sigh of relief come across him as he stumbles back to the woods to his RV.

The night started off with an eery atmosphere, but the look on Hope_'s face when Lucky came out of the Mirage to voice his genuine words made Luna feel much more at ease with the recent events. After much contemplation, Luna felt like it was the first time she could take a breath. She turned to Hope_ and made a playful, yet secure and positive remark.

"Cheers to a new hope, eh?"

The last couple days had been hard...  Incredibly so, but now it seemed that the battle was at an end.  Those few men and women who still stood had been ready to discuss peace and ceasefire.  It was that Hope had found herself in a small room with the Elite of their current world...  Herself included.  Her heart hammered in her chest and she could only hope that the esteemed Leaders to her left and right could not hear it.  She had to be brave.  She had to be strong.  She had to be everything that Roman had known she could be even before she did herself.  Even as the meeting continued, and she gave her soft input, she recalled Roman's nudgings at every turn.  He believed in her.  He knew that she could lead and be a Beloved Leader in her own right.  He had known...  But now he was not there to guide her as she took her place in this world.

Instead, the people who sat around her would be the ones she would look to.  These fine men and women who sat around her and would now stand with her to shape the ravaged world around them.  But like the world in the dead, cold grips of winter, a new spring would come.  And with it, would come new life.  This life was not over, even if they had lost so many in this thing called war.

As the meeting drew to a close, Hope would accept her glass with a smile to the bearer, and drain it in glad response to the toast that was called for.  Shaking hands with the other Leaders, she would cast a warm smile in each of their directions in turn, memorizing their faces.  They would be working closely, so she had to know just who they were.  Mentally kicking herself, she knew she had to get better at conversing with others and being sociable if she was to survive.  She would stand with these people, be part of the Alliance that had formed here today, and she would do her part to rebuild this land they all so loved, even if she didn't always know the way.  As they walked out from the room, to stand before the young world before them, strong and sure, Hope held her head high as Lucky gave his speech.  They would live.  They would thrive.  They would rebuild.  And any of those watching out for them from above willing, it would be glorious.

Once the speech was given, she smiled softly to Lucky, nodding with her own quiet affirmation before scanning the crowd.  Friends, at least she hoped that's what she saw behind the eyes she met.  People from so many different walks, so many different places all gathering together under one common goal.  That's what needed to happen here.  The crowd began to break apart and Hope felt herself relax just a tad.  That hadn't been terrible...  And it was a nice change that there weren't bullets to dodge in this situation.  She stepped away from the gathering as it broke apart, feeling very glad to be heading back to LA to begin her own rebuilding efforts.  But before she did, she would gather her own.

That smile only grew as Luna came over to her and she nodded with all the warmth she could muster in her eyes.  "A new hope indeed Luna...  Let's go home."  And with that they would head off to begin preparations for their bright new future.
