We love our cars..... We love the silent picture shows.... We love finding company spend time with..... We love finding time to just get away and enjoy ourselves...

Now we have a Drive in Theater where we have a moving picture show with Sound! Yes you heard right, Sound! The parking lot is set so each level is slightly raised so that you will have the best view even if their is a car in front of you.  We will be offering different movies as they come out. 

There will also be a concession stand.

King Kong and Dracula

Please come join us and lets have some fun with this new entertainment adventure. Bring your family and  your friends and lets have some fun. 

Mynnes was in one of those moods to try something a little different when she found herself with some free time before her flight out of the city of Detroit. She wasn't in the mood to go sit in a bar or go for dinner somewhere. It was then that she remembered a conversation she had with Criseria from Los Angeles of her new business venture in Detroit, Downtown Drive In Theater, then she realised it was something new for her to go and do. 

As she made her way there and since she can not drive she had to hire a car and get one of her guards to drive her "Okay take me to the drive-in and park up, you may join me for the movie but no funny business" Mynnes said to him as they made their way there. He found a good place to park as Mynnes exited the car "Stay there" she said to her guard as she made her way over to the concession stand and paid for their tickets.

As she was there she purchased 2 lots of popcorn and 2 lemonades then paid up what she owed. She walked back to the car and got in "Don't ever say you're not treated well" she joked to her guard as she handed him his popcorn and lemonade "Thanks Miss" he said in reply as the movie, King Kong was about to start.
 

Criseria was happy to see her friend as she pulled up to the Drive-in theater and she met her in the concession stand and handed her the 2 large popcorns and 2 lemonades she ordered. "Mynnes I do hope you enjoy King Kong and thanks for coming to the Downtown Drive In Theater!"

Mynnes was visiting Detroit again and was staying at Criseria's B&B not so far away. She had enjoyed her previous visit to Detroit by going to the drive in to see King Kong. She knew another film was on offering there so decided to give it a chance by arranging her guard to come with her again.

She got herself ready and got into the car with her guard driving them to the same spot they stopped up the previous time. Like the previous time, Mynnes got out of the car and made her way to the concession stand to order something snacks and get tickets. She waited her turn as others took theirs. "How may I help?" came the voice of the lady working on the stand as she chewed on some gum "Hey I'd like 2 tickets for Dracula" Mynnes replied as the lady sorted out the tickets and asked if any snacks would be required "Hmmmm 2 lots of Nachos and some candy please... oh and 2 brews" Mynnes replied as the lady sorted it out. The lady gave her the snacks and asked if anything else was in need "All is fine but please pass the love on from me, Mynnes to your boss" Mynnes replied as she then made her way back to the car.

She got into the car and gave over half of the snacks and drinks to her guard as she said "This time it's Dracula. No screaming like a girl" she joked as the intro music began to play at the Downtown Drive In Theater to indicate the start of the movie.

Twist was driving downtown Detroit when he seen a huge sign “Downtown Drive In Theater.” He decided to go see what was showing. When he seen King Kong was one of the titles he drove up to the ticket booth and purchased just 1 ticket. Twist normally goes on drives by himself at night to try to clear his mind of all the drama in the day. Once through the ticket booth Twist goes to the consession stand and orders 5 beers to make sure they last through the movie. Twist looks for a perfect place to park. Once it was found he got out of his box van and pulled a lawn chair out of the back. He unfolded the chair and sat down to relax. Cracking the first beer and laying back waiting for one of his favorite movies to start. The clown thinks to himself:

Now this is the life!

Criseria had been very busy with taking care of business and glad to have a good set of hands that had been helping her run the Drive in. She had received news that the Dracula film had played and that one of her Dear Friends had came to watch it. They said Mynnes had had said to pass on the love. She could only smile to have received such kind regards from such a friend. 

Her next customer was a good friend Twist, he decided come and see King Kong, and she made sure he would be comfortable because when he came to the concession stand he ordered 5 beers but she only charged him for 2. While he was at the concession stand she then told him "I hope you enjoy the show and please come back soon!"

Criseria had been working at the Drive In and their was another one of her friend's had decided to make an appearance. It was BlackPanther-, he had gone to concession stand and ordered snacks for the show. As he did she said "I hope you enjoy the movie, Please come back again soon!"

It was a comical sight to see, Isabella and Elias pulling up in a car together followed by a train of other cars... full of bodyguards.  It was like that at the ticket booth and then again at the snack bar as the whole group of them moved as a unit from one place to the next.  

Isabella ordered a large bucket of popcorn... to share.  They each got a coca-cola to drink and made their way back to the car where the rolled up the windows with the little speaker tucked inside.  The sun had almost disappeared and the movie would be starting soon.  

"This isn't a date."  Elias reminded her.

"Of course not.  I wanted to see a film and you are here to make sure nothing bad happens to me."

They looked at each other and chuckled, they both knew it was horse shit, but if having been shot earned her nothing else, more reasons to be alone with Elias was a good thing and she was thankful for it.

"I hope you don't mind I had them put on extra butter... you're not afraid of vampires, are you, Mr. Landucci?"

Elias laughed at Isabella_Luciano asking such a silly question...'no of course not my dear, I've seen this in this life, and I've done things in this life far scarier than a ghoul who sucks blood for a living...I spill blood for a living... and about the popcorn, no of course I don't mind...the buttery, the better!' 

Elias could not help but feel a slight unease being in the car with Isabella, it was the closest they'd been alone together for a long time. The Don trusted him to look after he whilst she was healing up, even though he knew for damn certain she was very capable of looking after herself, as she'd proved many, many times to him. But nonetheless, he would always keep that special watchful eye on her. 

'So I know I said this isn't a date...and you said it isn't a date...but what the hell is this? Do you know how much i'm fighting not putting my hands all over you right now? We could get in SO much trouble, and I'll be honest..I haven't even watched 1 minute of this film, I'm too distracted of you in that pretty black dress of yours..

"So even after watching what I did to the first guy I ever went steady with... and despite my father's threats of bodily harm, none of that has put you off pursuing me?"  She chuckled.  "Up until now I think THIS has been shameless flirting, intense sexual tension and a damn good time..."  She got thoughtful then.

"Are you really ready for that to be over?  I mean, if we go further with this ... everything will change.  Elias, even if we're just agreeing to be 'seeing' one another and not exclusive... I doubt we'll ever be able to go back to this place we're in now.  Please understand that I have loved every instant of what's happened between us, don't think I haven't, but it is a big step and that's without even thinking about the difficulty of my father involved I think things will change."

She looks up to the screen.  "I know the story... if you'd like me to tell you about it?"  She smiles at Elias.  "It's not a horror really, I know it's billed that way but it's also sort of a romance story.  It's a story about longing, denial, and a love that even death can not stop." 

'You have to remember Isabella_Luciano, they weren't threats of bodily harm, bodily harm actually happened to me. I was beaten to near death, for a 'crime' I never committed. I was wrongly accused, we both know that. But here I am, still by your side, prepared to risk it all once again. Don Salvatore and I, had a conversation. He can see what I am at, kind of a crossroad in my life so-to-speak. But I have one thing to do, before I'm possibly allowed to bring up the subject with him again.. I need to find the people responsible for your attack, and as hard it will be for me to not rip out their fucking vocal chords so they can't even scream as i'm feeding their half dead bodies to the wolves...the Don wishes to do the deed himself, I must respect that decision, and I do understand it. He ordered me to get to the bottom of this, and that is what I intend to do..by all means you can come with me, a third adventure for us, that'll probably end up with us either dead, or killing once again..Is that something that would interest you dear?'

'None of us will ever be over, it's merely me saying to you, I want to start a new beginning with you Izzy. I've ignored my emotions for a damn long time now, but it was only when I thought you were gone, and I didn't get to say goodbye, that I realised why my head was doing somersaults.. it's all because of you...and the fear of losing you..and you have to admit - we make a damn good team right?' as he winked at her, before lighting up a cigar..

Puzzled about how Dracula could be anything to do with love..he asked Isabella for more of a description, wondering if she was in fact describing the move at all..

"Well, I presume the movie is based on the book by Mr. Bram Stoker, an Irish man I'm told."  She reaches over and takes Elias by the hand as if it was a perfectly natural thing to do.  "I don't deny there is a horror element, truly the idea of dead men being cursed to walk forever with powers of hell itself is scary as fuck... and the army of men and one woman hunting him is something worthy of a few goosebumps... but, it's the reason for that curse that is most interesting to me."

"I read an article in which Mr. Stoker told another version of his tale, as if from Dracula's point of view.  In it, he says Dracula became cursed with his dark blood lust because of his tactics in war against his enemies after they had lied to and convinced his wife that he had been killed on the field of battle.  When he returned home to find that the Catholic priests would not give her a Christian burial, thus denying her entry to heaven, he killed the priests and drank their blood causing his own curse."

"Many years later he sees Mr. Harker's wife, Mina, and realizes that she is the soul of his beloved wife returned to him from beyond death... and that his curse has gifted him one more chance to share a bit of time with her.  At first he means to make her a vampire and take her with him to Transylvannia but when she is hunted by Harker and Van Helsing, things change.  Mina finds the strength to resist even Dracula's powers and he sees now the only way he can show her the depth of his love is to do the hardest and most selfless thing he can do... the thing he could not do before that lead to his curse... give her up to her own destiny."

"Dracula dies in the end and Mina knows that his love for her was greater than any she could ever know... Stoker even suspected Mina would never be happy with Harker as the man could only ever be standing in the shadow of a love that withstood time and death itself.  So... if you believe Mister Stoker, love - the most beautiful and strong of loves - can exist in oceans of time and rivers of blood.  I suppose that's good news for some of us."

She shook her head, "I'm a silly romantic though... no one would ever walk away from their passions like that to prove their devotion to another person; especially with death looming as it was for Dracula.  I suppose that's what makes it a good story though."

Elias just sat in the car, with his jaw wide open, listening to the story for the first time through Isabella_Luciano's eyes & ears... her descriptions were so on point, it was as if she was a character in the story, he could tell how much she was into novels, and as her mouth was moving, and her eyes locked on him.. He once again, almost lost his trail of thought, but shook himself around to once again focus on the words, and not the face..

'I've missed too much of this film dear, you know I thinking, lets pull out of here, lose the bodyguard escorts for a bit, spend some time alone without a huge party following us. I know you're more than capable of losing any tales and keeping yourself safe..But I promise i'll take you back here again soon whilst the picture is still being shown, and I promise not to interrupt anything, and I'll watch it from start to finish...AND buy the popcorn! You can't turn me down on this offer - can you?' as he drew a heart shape on the palm of her hand with his..

"If we lose Mr. Van Helsing and his men back there, dear heart, you KNOW they will run to my father and he'll be leading his own lynch mob within moments; especially right now with how paranoid he is."  She put one leg over the other and squeezed his hand.  "This really is driving you mad isn't it?"  She chuckled.

"If I agree to see you Elias, there is a rather long list of suitors that I'll be obliged to break the hearts of.  I fear I'm rather like Miss Lucy in the movie... granted, you probably don't get that reference at all."

Elias lent his head back, and looked towards the sky, and let out a sigh..'you know what dear, you are right in what you say. We would be in SERIOUS trouble..but hey, a man's gotta ask right? I wish I knew the story of Miss Lucy - but I must confess that I, once again do not know of the person that you speak of.'

'But you need to worry about other's heart, if it means yours doesn't get what it deserves. You must always put yourself first and foremost, at everything you do..' With that he kissed her hand, started up the car engine and made their way back home from a very pleasant evening out.. Elias was determined that he would one day do what he promised, and take Isabella_Luciano to another showing once again.

Jay had become friends with his business partner. As of late she seemed incredibly worried about a business deal that had gone sour. So as a treat to get her mind of thing Jay had her flown out to Detroit, a city far from the drama for a nice night out to a fantastic drive through. Jay pulled up in car outside of Joli's hotel and he honked the horn three times. She would know he was downstairs waiting for her.

He wasn't certain what movie was playing tonight, but whatever it is he was certain it would be fun and help her relax. The main goal tonight was just to get her mind off of things. He was good at that, and he knew she would appreciate it. He looked at his watch and then the entrance to the hotel. "Typical women." He thought to himself as he noticed they were starting to run a little late.

While in Detroit, conducting some business, Tyrant decides to take a tour of downtown. While driving along he sees the bright lights of a marque next to what at first appeared to be a lot with no building in it. As Tyrant got closer he realized what the lot was. "That's the place Cris was talking about!" Tyrant recalls a conversation he had with Criseria about the drive in theater she owned out here.

Tyrant drives in and purchases a ticket for Dracula. Once parked, Tyrant got out of the car to take a look around. As he was inspecting the place decided to stop and grab some grub and suds from the concessions stand before making way back to the car to watch the movie. Tyrant approached the stand, "Yes I would like some brew and nacho's please." he asked the the attendant. Tyrant paid for the concessions and made his way back to the car just as the opening credits started to roll.

Joli finally walked out of the Hotel and saw StJames standing at his car patiently waiting for her, dressed as finely as ever. She approached smiling and checked him out, not trying to be coy about it what so ever.

"Oh someone cleans up very nicely. Sorry it takes time to look as amazing as I do at this moment!" Joli laughed and winked.

"I believe the showing tonight is Dracula, the beginning is always boring, we'll be fine." She said as he opened the door for her to get into the car.

"Oh a gentleman too! Aren't I lucky. Thanks though Jay this means alot to me, I needed this." She puts her hand on his arm and smiled admiring him before got into the car and let him close the door behind her. 

Jay grinned as he watched her get into his car. She looked drop dead gorgeous and his eyes were glued to her. Once the door was shut his snapped out of it and hopped back into the driver's seat and smiled as he began driving.

"I'm excited, I actually haven't seen Dracula before. Is it scary?"

He grinned looking at her legs. He snapped back to reality though as he felt the front wheel of the car pass onto the shoulder. He didn't say anything, but he found a balance of focusing on the road and her as they drove out to the drive-in. Once there Jay found a nice spot in the back of the lot. The movie was just about to begin and Jay smiled at Joli.

"Perfect timing after all! I'm going to run to the snack stand, can I get you anything?"

"Having issues driving there?" Joli chuckled. "I've heard it's pretty scary, I haven't seen it either! I never have time to do things like this."

Joli got comfortable in the car and enjoyed the crisp weather and being what felt like normal for once in a long time. She snapped back to reality at his question and pondered for a bit before answering.

"Yeah, let me have a soda, and some popcorn. This is a movie, popcorn is a must." She smiled as he left her to get the snacks and drinks. She looked around to try and see who all was at the movie, it appeared to be typical civilians no known names thankfully. With a breath of relief Joli laid back in the seat and relaxed trying to focus on the movie and not think too much.
