Don’t we all? The momentary satisfaction and thrill of success. The knowledge that someone, somewhere out there is smashing their phone, tablet, or pc on the ground... But let’s take a step back for a moment. Think about war. Think about sacrifice. Think about fear. When you pulled the trigger. Were you afraid? Or were you almost positive your target was more than hittable? Well I can tell you all I don’t like it. I hate that in fact. I want every hit (at least against an actual player) to be a chance. I want every hit to feel like it had weight and that I put myself in actual danger. For the aggressor, the one who shoots first, success is almost always a guarantee. Retribution, rarely a thought. And shit just don’t work like that in real life. I have a lot of ideas on a direction for change... but I want to hear YOURS. What do you think? And no, I don’t care that you’ve mathematically gamed and mastered the system that you don’t want it to change. We never knew the math back in the very old days and that was a magical time. Get comfortable being uncomfortable again. and think long and hard - what do you wish was different? |

| Gotta add some drive-by mechanics. Gives a purpose to lower level guns to work in a group OC fashion to hit somebody (if they can find them in the streets). Requires coordination and probably has really low accuracy, can help in shooting BGs too | |

You have to 100% Through the fire and flames on Guitar hero 3 to even get a gun.

A man one said to me that he believes if someone wants you dead, you'll die. On some level I think we all already know that. There's no undo button once the trigger is pulled and there's no tomorrow for the account on the other end of a fatal shot. In a second and at the compete mercy of another, your run can be over. How long you last will always come down to two things. How much of a threat you are - which isn't exactly driven by gun size -, and/or how paranoid the other side is. An influential individual who has a goal, ambition or brazen desire will always pose a threat. Having a sizable gun would benefit that, however it's not as threatening as an aggressive agenda. That's where paranoia starts manifesting, when people ask the question "can they kill me?". Not knowing who has a cannon in their pocket looks to be getting harder and harder, which makes how you conduct yourself even more crucial to staying alive. A single slight to another could spell the end of your run, as fear and paranoia escalate into bloodshed. So what would I change? I think the changes to witness statements have put us on the right path, making attitudes and behaviours important. The culture of expecting everyone is driven by the size of their gun should also be considered. Some are here for the experience, the friendship or to tell stories. I pose this question in the context of being specially targeted, not a victim of war or an altercation - do they deserve to have their run ended by paranoia or fear over a mechanic of the game they don't even use? |

Perhaps a little off topic here - but something that I think is somewhat pertinent to the discussion:
BG wacking for live players is antiquated and needs a change I feel.
What is the cap on BG's now? 200? 225? I know it's somewhere in there. BG waves are relatively ineffective these days and it becomes a game of a few huge guns hiding behind pros.
It takes a HUGE gun with months of building to take down a true IWP GFC. You spend those months invested and it gets harder and harder to pull the trigger the more you have invested. But - I digress.
500 - 600 guns... While helpful - they aren't game changers here. Additionally - they take out the same amount of BGE as a 100 gun, and that's what I think needs to change.
My recommendation would be to change the amount of BGE damage that the bigger guns can do - maybe 1 BGE per 100 wackstat? EG - a 600 gun can take out 6 BGE when you BG wack instead of the normal 1 BGE or whatever it is. I think it promotes more teamwork, and adds value in the game to a wider userbase.
That oughta add a bit to the politics and make you a little more uncomfortable.
