Marie stood leaning against her car waiting just outside of the east entrance of the Aurban park.  Her men were scattered around her scoping out the place and making sure that it was free from potential threats.  Marie highly doubt that they would find anything, because this had be a spontaneous idea.  Both and Lucky and herself were so busy, she had to make it a priority in her life to find time to be with him.  Today had been no exception.  When a meeting with a politician unexpected fell through because of an emergency subcommittee meeting she immediately called up Lucky to see if he would have an hour for a walk in the park together.   

Spring was starting to arrive in Chicago and she felt comfortable in a short sleeve button-up blouse and light weight grey trousers.  The sun reflecting off the water was bright so she wore her sunglasses as well.  The wind blew some of her hair into her face and she ran her fingers through it to comb them back into place.  It really was a very beautiful day for a walk.

She smiled at him.  "I am so glad you were able to get away."  Grabbing a small paper bag from the seat of her car, she linked arms with him and began to walk into the Park.  "I have drove past this place nearly every day since I moved my headquarters to the loop.  I always thought it would be a nice place to walk through."  She looked around at the birds and the trees.  "A little quiet and calmness to soothe the soul."  She smiled and looked at Lucky.  "How is your day going?  Is @spartacus keeping you in line the way you use to keep me in line?"

Marie grinned.  Lucky was getting to see the other side of the picture now that he had his own crew.  For someone like him it must have been quite the shock to the system to suddenly have to deal with not only the administrative aspects of running a crew, but to also have to deal with running a district at well.  From everything she had heard about this @Spartacus he was the perfect me to keep Lucky on task.  It seemed they were truly forming a great team.  It was a good thing that his RHM was a man and not a woman.  If he had been a woman she might have been prone to jealousy at all the time they had to spend together as they worked. 

"@Coltrane is really doing a great job for me as well.  There has been several incidents where I was not available to deal with something and he stepped up to the plate.  He will make a great CL for us in the days ahead."  She walked a few paces before she continued, "Speaking of the future..." she glanced around to make sure their were no overhearing ears.  "I think I am just about ready to make my move against the old man."  The old man was the term she had taken to calling Godfather Vito Vandele.  The last man who stood between her and complete control of Chicago.  

Marie smiled at him.  "Thanks."

She slipped her arm out from his and opened the bag she was carrying as she made her way over by the pond where some ducks were swimming near the shore.  She reached down into the bag and pulled out some bread crumbs which she throw out for the ducks to eat.  She looked at Lucky.  "Would you like to feed them too?"  She offered the bag to him.

Marie smiled and throw out some more bread.  "I will be honest.  I have been living so much in the present that I have not really looked to the future.  What do you see?"  She looked at him.

"I want to marry you too."  Marie squeezed his hand and drew closer to him.  "As for kids.  Well I once wanted kids when I was living with Luca in Miami.  Though I have not been so eager about it since choosing this live.  It never seemed right."  Marie tried to be completely open and honest with Lucky.  "I don't suppose I would be against having kids... I mean the men in the old country seem able to manage doing this and having kids too."  She chuckled.  "Surely a modern woman like myself can figure out how to balance it all."

"Mmm wedding huh?"  She smirked playfully.  "How can there be a wedding with no proposal?"  She holds up a finger to stop him from proposing right then and there, "And before you go and start getting any ideas... I want a proper proposal with a ring!"  She smiled at him so happily.

Marie gasped and covered her mouth when he dropped to a knee and pulled out the small black box.  When he asked her to marry him she shook her head yes.  Then as the tears started to fall she managed to finally come out and say it, "Yes!" 

She let him put the ring on her finger and then she threw herself at him to embrace and kiss him deeply.  Her momentum carried them both over onto his back and Marie laughed and cried as she continued to kiss him over and over again.
