After getting the agreement from Artur and his associate Max, Twist was ready to get the plan rolling.  Twist and his bodyguard RedFoot were on there way back to the diner to meet with the young men.  RedFoot was concerned about hiring kids to do a mans job and he was expressing it to his boss Twist.

"Bossman are you sure you want to go through with this, Are you sure these kids can keep their mouth shut in a pinch?"

Twist looks at his bodyguard in pure rage.  He already had told him once and that's all he should have to tell him. Twist reaches back and sends a fierce slap to his bodyguards head.  Twist was really stressful because he wasn't really earning shit from the actually robbery his earnings come from the contents of the safety deposit box.

1 month ago:

A very well respected Godfather walks up to Twist while he was having one of his psychopath moments slapping his head trying to get his thoughts to disappear.  The Godfather asked Twist if he wanted a job to make money, All he would have to do is extort a FBI agent to go and get the Witness Protection List out of his safety deposit box.  When Twist broke into the agents house something in his head snapped and instead of waking the agent up out of his sleep he decided to stab him with a hedge clipper over 35 times.  The Godfather was irate he told twist he has a week to get that list or he was a dead man.  So here we are.....

Once at the diner Twist whistles over to the two young men standing by the front door.  Artur and Max walk over to the box van that RedFoot was driving and get in.  RedFoot looks back from the drivers seat and tells the men that he was going to show them the bank and specifically show Max his position in the plan.  Pulling up to the bank Twist was smiling while the boys in the back seemed terrified.  There was a payphone right on the corner of 2nd avenue that is where Max would be stationed considering the police station was only 4 blocks down that is where they most likely will be coming from.

"OK Max you will be setup right at that payphone with a walkie talkie.  I also have a pair of lock cutters under the bus stop bench.  I will be dropping you off there and moving the van to the front with the hazard lights on."

RedFoot explained how he will then be walking behind the building to cut the alarm system cord. During this time Twist and Artur will be getting prepared to run in through the front door.

"Once I cut the alarm system I will radio Max and he will cut the payphone line with the lock cutters.  Twist and Artur you guys will only have earpieces so you wont be able to talk back only hear.  Once you hear Max confirm the line is cut you go in.  Twist knows exactly where the deposit boxes are.  Artur when you guys go in I will need you to shoot in the air and keep everyone on the ground while twist gets the box.  I will also be telling you guys the second I hear the call go out on the police scanner. That means it is time to go OK.  Another thing Artur the only talking that should be done is you telling people to stay down that's it!"

Twist looks at Artur and Max, he was really proud of the young men and if everything goes well we looks forward to doing more business with them in the future.

"Are you guys all ready?" RedFoot asked nervously.

Artur and Max spent much of their evening arguing in an alleyway. Max though Artur was nuts to agree to do this job for the crazy clown guy, Artur thought it was a good chance to make some cash, something the two of them had never seen more than small change of. After awhile Artur finally managed to calm his friend down and get him to go along with it, but not before his friend bruised a few knuckles. Luckily the punches weren't aimed at him. The next morning bright and early the two got up and headed back to the dinner, once there they noted the clown guy and his bodyguard when they whistled for them. The two boys made their way quickly to the back of the diner to join the other 2 members of this odd bank heist. Never before had Artur heard of someone robbing a bank for a safety deposit box instead of cash, and he still wasn't sure if it was a good idea. His gut told him to go with it, and his gut very rarely steered him wrong so here he was.

The game plan is explained in more detail as the group eats breakfast, the boys nod along as they are explained their roles and dos and don'ts of today's activity. The boys were having a bit of trouble eating their breakfast, this was a big thing they were about to do. Things would clearly never be the same after they went through with it. They were kissing their Navy dreams goodbye most likely, still, something told Artur the risks were going to be worth it so he soldiered on. He occasionally fingered the mask in his pocket to make sure it was still there to hide his face. As they finished their breakfast the team got up together and went out to the car. The bank heist was on, and the strange team of 2 adults and two boys was headed for a very eventful morning.

As the group pulls around the corner from the bank Max gets out and begins to pretend he is on the phone. The kid was nervous as all hell.  The other three drove to the front of the bank. RedFoot looks back at Artur.

”Remember Twist can’t talk so when you guys go in you have to do the demanding of everyone on the floor. And remember do not use your names while yelling!”

RedFoot gets out of the van and begins to calmly walk to the back of the bank to cut the alarm wires and camera wires. After the bodyguard left the van Twist looks at Artur and smiles big.  Twist hands Artur a 12 ga. Shotgun and arms his self with his trusty colt 1911.  Artur looks at the shotgun terrified.  Twist pulled the key to the deposit box out of the glovebox and put it into his glove. Then the two pulled the masks over there face.

Redfoot cuts the wires on the back of the building and pulls out the walkie talkie.

”Alright go kid!”

Max walks over to the side of the bank and grabs the lock cutters leaning against the building. Max walks to the payphone and cuts the cord leaving the phone disconnected and on the sidewalk.  Then the kid pulls out his walkie.

”Phones disconnected and my eyes are peeled for the fuzz.”

As RedFoot was rushing back to the front of the building Twist looks at Artur and nods. Then the clown slides the door open on the van and the duo make a run for the front door of the bank!

Artur jumped out of the van and ran for the door with his mask on albeit bouncing around a bit obstructing his view occasionally, apparently, the mask was for someone with a bigger head than his. The issue couldn't really be helped on such short notice, he'd have to just make it work. Running through the front door Artur slid to a stop managing to stay on his feet. Taking a quick look around the place he raised his shotgun and pointed it up towards the ceiling and pulled the trigger. Once he had everyone's attention he yelled out in as manly a voice as he could muster given his age, "Everyone hit the deck. NOW!" Artur stepped to the side making room for the clown to run past and do his business in the bank while he looked around the room making sure no one was doing anything fishy. As he scanned the room he spotted a security guard also laying on the ground, yelling again he pointed the gun at the guard,  "You there, take your pistol out nice and slow and slide it across the ground to me."  Having properly secured the room Artur stood guard near the entrance and waited to see how things would play out.

After the two ran threw the front door Twist became very proud of his young partner taking control of the situation. He was not expecting Artur to shoot so it made Twist jump when the huge bang cane from the shotgun.  Once Twist knew it was all under control he made a run for the bank manager.  The clown picked up the manager by his throat and walked him to the vault where the deposit boxes were.  With the colt 1911 to his head the manager stumbled around putting in the combination but eventually got it in. The what happened next terrified Artur instead of putting the manager back on the floor safely, the clown instantly put a bullet in the back of his head the second the vault opened.

Twis rushed to the box number 108.  Unlocked the box and pulled out the envelope.  Then Twist got a incoming sound from RedFoot.

”Hurry up boss, the call went out. You got like 1 minute to get out.”

Twist opened the envolope to make sure it was the list of snitches names and addresses.  After confirming the list he ran back out to Artur tapping him on the back indicating it is time to go. The guys ran out of the bank to a bigger problem police were pulling up behind the van and max was right next to them.

Everything was going fantastic, people were laying on the floor like he wanted. Everything was just great, even the security guard wasn't causing them any problems at all. This was going to be the easiest heist ever and then he heard a BANG. Artur jumped a little bit, he was startled. He didn't know anyone else would need to fire a shot other than the one he'd fired to get everyone's attention. A quick scan showed the bank manager's body on the floor next to Twist his brains all over the wall. That told Artur everything he needed to know and more than he wanted to know. He'd never seen a man killed before, he hadn't even considered the possibility. It's a good thing Artur was wearing a mask cause his face was pale as fuck and he was now extremely nervous about what was going on. He heard a noise in his ear that a few seconds later he recognized as Twist's bodyguard telling them the pigs where coming, this made him even more nervous. Shit was heading south in a hurry, why had he agreed to do this stupid thing?

Twist started running for the door with an envelope of all things, didn't even look like the guy had any money worth this whole shit storm they were now involved in. Artur followed him out the door and saw the police starting to pull up around the van. The van was their only option, foot running wouldn't get them very far now and he dove on in the side of the van. As he dove into the van he heard the sounds of opening gunfire, looks like he got in just in time. Looking over his shoulder though he watched as Max stumbled a little and dropped to his knees. Artur cursed but was too scared to jump back out of the van.

After running out of the bank police were everywhere. Artur got out first and dove into the van that RedFoot was driving.  As Twist ran out of the door he noticed max running back to the van frantically.  The police had guns drawn and yelling to the boy to get down.  Max didn’t listen trying to get back to his partners. That was when one of the officers let out a brutal shot that hit Max right in his neck dropping the young man instantly. Twist pulled out his colt and emptied the entire clip at the police officers causing them to take cover.  Twist made his way to max and drug him back to the van. Once the two were in RedFoot floored it trying to escape in a high speed chase.

RedFoot was driving crazy making turns left and right trying to shake the fuzz.  Artur was so pale looking at his bleeding friend it looked as if he seen a ghost. Twist reached to the front passenger seat to grab a spare shirt and his pocket knife.  Twist is trying to save the young boy who was barely hanging on to life.  He tied the shirt around Max’s neck tight but loose enough to be able to get air flow, while he got prepared to try to remove the bullet. Once Twist loosened the shirt from Max’s neck you could see the death in the young boys eyes. He was gone. RedFoot looked back to see the lifeless boy.

”Boss is he gone?  We have to get to the switch car.  I think we lost the police but we are going to have to leave his body here in the van.”

Artur did not look happy with the decision of the bodyguard but went along with it.  Once to the switch car the three that were left ran and got in and drove away leaving the boy behind for the investigators to find.....

Report Post Tip

It had been several weeks since the day Max died. Several weeks Artur was in hiding, afraid to be found and afraid that people were watching his friends grave looking for him. Eventually, he managed to sneak back and pay his respects, that day was today. Now he stood before his friends grave, a tear streaking down his cheek. Why had he decided to do the heist? Why had he let greed blind him to the very real consequences that could have and did eventually happen? He lost his best friend, his wingman, his protector. And all of this for 150k, Twist had given him Max's share as some consolation package for losing his best friend. It paled in comparison to the hole he now felt in his heart, he never would have imagined there would come a time when Max wasn't by his side causing mischief with him. The price was high for what he did, and was positive the money stashed away in his hiding spot was not worth it, not worth it at all.

Life is full of lessons, Artur had just received a very bloody nose for his latest lesson, another tear streaked down his cheek as he continues to look on at his friends grave. He thought of all the memories the two had made together. Playing jokes on old ladies, stealing their purses. Kicking the walking canes out from under them and then running around the corner laughing hysterically as they howled after them in rage from the ground. None of it truly dangerous, no guns in site. Just a bit of harmless fun really. No more would these things happen for the two of them, just Artur now. He'd committed himself to a life of crime that day, and even with the consequences now laid before him, he couldn't turn his back on it. He'd seen a man murdered and while the sight still haunted his dreams, he knew it was a site he would grow accustomed to with time. He'd spoken with Twist once or twice since that day, the crazy clown didn't seem to understand what had happened or what he had lost. His bodyguard kept saying something about more work, Artur could be bothered with listening at the moment. Eventually, Artur knew he'd have to listen, he needed work and he knew now what awaited him in this life. More death, more heists, more crimes. Artur lost the bit of humanity he had left in him as he took one last look at his friends grave before turning his back never to return.
