Johnny rubbed his tired eyes and did his best to suppress a yawn. It had been mere hours since he was informed that he'd be branching out on his own and he was exhausted from the accelerated pace at which he had started his own crew. He grimaced at the darkening skies outside of his office window before shrugging into his winter coat and heading out into the Chicago streets. It was a short walk to the skeleton of a building that was to become the headquarters for his crime syndicate. The metal frame coupled with the threatening clouds was a foreboding sight, though Johnny could only smile at it. A crowd seemed to be gathering--no doubt curious about the structure's sudden construction--and he turned to greet them. Good evening. Some of you know me quite well and probably don't need to stand here and listen to what I represent. To those that don't, though, allow me to introduce myself. I am JohnnyAxe. It was my grandfather that started the family that has become the notorious Badass, Inc. Although I share with my grandfather the desire to mold a crime organization into a family, I am not my grandfather. My intentions are to run an organization that will strictly follow the principles that elevate us beyond common criminals; we are much more than the petty thieves that loot for liquor and spare change. I will not be tolerating any deviation from my rules regardless of rank or affiliation and will be paying special attention to the adherence of the 48 hour rule. I would like to thank Mr McTavish for affording me so many opportunities, to include this one. I hope to keep close ties with his and the nation's other families and look forward to working alongside those already established for the betterment of our way of life. I apologize for this abbreviated speech, but you can see that there is much to be done and I really must get to it. There's much more to come. Thank you for your time. With another glance at his headquarters building, Johnny bundled his coat tighter around his frame and head back to his apartment before the weather turned worse. |

Shortly after moving a few of her belongings into Johnny's new HQ Jordan walked outside to listen to his speech. When he walked towards the HQ to escape from the cold Chicago evening Jordan followed him. Congratulations, Johnny. You look great in the new suit. You know I've always admired your principals and work ethic. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with you with your new venture. |
