"Damn, you got a pool in this mother fucker too? You doin' it big homie!" Trevon exclaimed excitedly. Jamal was currently walking through his new place of residence in Beverly Hills. The last few months had certainly been good to him in all aspects of business. He'd continued to do well moving drugs for the Mexican gang he'd been attached to. After awhile he began to come up with ways to improve that. He'd also requested more weight to move on the territory that he did have, much to Alex's displeasure, Hector agreed. With the added amount of drugs he was able to sell came with more money. Jamal then thought it to be a good idea to put together a group of young hustlers who'd work for a little bit of money and opportunity, and get them to be the ones to move the contraband on the corners. Before long he'd set himself up a little operation with other people and also began to wholesale drugs to another dealer who had plans to stretch it out by watering down the product and selling it more expensive. Before long Jamal began to start collecting a percentage on the packages that he'd receive, as he'd get the drugs from Hector and sell it to other dealers at higher prices entirely. That along with letting some of them move it on his corners Jamal was turning quite a nice profit and seen fit to spend a little of it. He'd begun to look for another place of residence for himself while also trying his best to take care of his mother and his sister as well. It would be the other organization he was working with who would end up helping him take care of his living situations. "You're gonna be able to get a whole helluva lot of ass once the bitches see you live in a place like this my man." Trevon continued on as he looked around the interior in awe. "How were you even able to afford a place like this J?" DJ inquired. Jamal looked toward his two friends and contemplated how to phrase it to tell them enough but not give them all the details of what was going on. "Started movin' on up where I'm workin' at pretty much is the gist of it." He vaguely answered. Trevon instantly looked at him like he knew there was more to that than his friend was letting on. "Points on the package don't get you no pad like this? Never mind the cars outside and the new jewels you been rockin'. What's the deal man? Don't hold out on your homies. You know how far back we go." Trevon reminded him. This was typical. Trevon wasn't as stupid as he made himself out to be at times. He would try to use guilt or other peoples feelings that he knew against them when it could benefit him. He wouldn't do it to cause anybody any real pain or to truly compromise someone but he had a way of knowing how to push someone's buttons so he could get what he wanted. "I been doing a bit more organizing things and moving up in my other crew, you know with the ninjas and shit." Jamal sarcastically answered. Trevon still looked skeptical. "There you go again with that organization shit. We know you ain't filing books and bein' an office boy for a group that openly call themselves assassins. You ain't killin' nobody cuz you ain't called us cryin' like a bitch yet so what the fuck you doin' to earn this kinda scratch?" Trevon asked. Jamal rolled his eyes and gave a sigh before answering again. "I handle the funds and move things around from time to time. Setting up jobs and shit and also do a little bit of scouting when I can. Don't worry I ain't killin' nobody but even if I did I wouldn't be cryin' like no bitch anyway." Jamal defended. As they got into talking about specifics and what not DJ had went out into the living room and explored a few of the other rooms down on the ground floor. He continued to take in all the space and observe some of the furnishings before another question popped into his head. "How are you gonna be able to show income that proves you can afford a house like this in the first place?" He inquired. Trevon nodded at that question to show he was wondering something similar. Jamal on the other hand gave a simple shrug. "Simple the house isn't in my name. My boss hooked all that up." He responded. Trevon gave a laugh and once again focused back on Jamal. "Listen to him talking about 'his boss', this is the same dude who said he'd never get tied up into all that organization pyramid scheme shit I believe you called it. You know what, I get it. It's clear exactly how you got a place like this and all this new found wealth and shit." Trevon said. "How smartass?" Jamal asked beginning to get frustrated slightly with all the clowning on him. He immediately regretted asking as soon as he saw the look on Trevon's face. Trevon and DJ traded a look and then looked at Jamal with similar looks on their faces. They then said aloud in unison, "Kissing ass." Jamal facepalmed and shook his head at the same time. "I didn't kiss ass to get the house you idiots, why couldn't I have just worked hard and saved up enough money to leave here?" Jamal asked fully frustrated now. "Ain't no way your black ass is gonna come up with the idea to come all the way out here and buy a house in the Hills. What you gonna say when someone from the neighborhood or the police come to the door and see yo hoodlum ass answer in chains and shit?" Trevon asked. Jamal didn't even have the chance to answer, instead it was DJ who responded. "Shit, probably think the owners are on vacation and figure he's just squattin'. It's be you Trey, who's gonna have to bail his ass out." "Ain't nobody gonna have to bail me out and ain't nobody gonna come to the door lookin' in and askin' questions and what not. Just don't worry about it alright. I came up and it's all good, it's handled and I didn't kiss no ass to get here either." Jamal explained with a note of finality. Trevon and DJ continued to browse around the house after that, looking through the rooms and pointing out all the other cool things that were in there. The house had come already furnished like someone else had been living there and left without packing up their belongings. Trevon and DJ began playing a game in which they would see who could point out more things around the house that didn't belong to Jamal. They continued on looking through the house and helping Jamal pick out more spots where he could put more things when DJ came up with an idea. "Hey, now that you finally got your own place and you live out here with the rich people, you definitely gotta have a house warming party to break the new place in. And not those lame ass parties where people bring over useless gifts and shit I'm talking something that shows you've arrived. No, scratch that. WE arrived. You gotta let me handle the music man." DJ propositioned. Jamal was planning to shut this down right away. He wasn't that big of a party person in the first place. If you add to the fact that a loud house party would probably both mess up the house and bring that unwanted attention that they were just talking about he immediately figured this was a bad idea. Trevon must've known what Jamal was thinking so he cut him off and surprised him at the same time. "That's a great idea DJ!" Trevon exclaimed. "I was thinking the same thing. Hell we could even turn it into a business opportunity." He said and then shot Jamal a knowing look, believing that at the prospect of being able to make money Jamal would be interested. Trevon was correct. Jamal raised his eyebrow and looked questioningly at his friend. Trevon just kept a cool smirk on his face in return before placing his arm around Jamal's shoulders and began to walk his friend and himself toward the deck in the backyard leaving DJ in the house. "Step into my office and let's talk some business." Trevon said. "Dude, this is my fuckin' house. Ain't none of this your office." Jamal replied flatly. Trevon waited until they fully got outside to begin talking to Jamal about what he brought him outside for. "Look bro a party would be the exact thing we all need. It helps break in your house and you can even invite some of those big timers you hang out with and show em how we get down. Not to mention all the girls that'll be throwing themselves at you and shit, all the ass you could get from throwin' a party he-." "I don't care about all that shit man, and why's everything always about sex with you?" Jamal asked cutting Trevon off and stepping out of his grasp. Trevon looked at Jamal like he'd just asked the stupidest question ever before responding. "Because, everyone knows pussy is what makes the world go round. Man most of the world problems and shit would be resolved if more motherfuckers just got laid or got high or some shit. It's all fundamentals. One day, this shit is gonna be scientifically proven." Trevon answered. Jamal was again shaking his head. He couldn't bring himself to say anything due to the complete ridiculousness of his friend's statement. Seeing that he wasn't gonna be interrupted again Trevon continued on. "Anyway this shit would work for everyone. You can charge a small fee per head to get in and get paid. We could have DJ handle the music and get himself exposure with his shit, and I need your help on something." Trevon said in a hushed tone and took a quick look around like he was looking to make sure that no one was watching or listening in on him. Trevon then pulled a paper bag from somewhere behind him. The bag was about medium sized and it was filled with different colored pills inside. Jamal looked in it but wasn't completely sure of what he was seeing. He then looked to his oldest friend's face and could see he looked nervous and a bit lost like he didn't quite understand what was in it either or what he should do with it. "What the fuck is that?" Jamal asked the obvious question. "I don't know exactly everything in here. It's party favors though. You know, drugs that college frat boys and sorority girls take. This shit ain't no drug you can move in the hood. Ain't nobody where we're from tryin' to buy ecstasy or anythin' to make you see weird shit." Trevon answered. Jamal could understand that but he still had a confused look on his face. "Where'd you even get that shit from and why you bringin' it to me? If you wanted to get into the drug business you should've just came to me for the simple shit." Jamal scolded. "I got this shit from Markus. It's a mission they gave me. One designed for me to fail no doubt but I ain't about to just go out like that man. If we throw this party out here and just make it open and get the word out, I'll be sure to be able to move this shit. I mean it's a party in the hills, how the fuck would college kids and all them other crazy ass party animals be able to turn that down. And like I said it's not like you doin' this for free. Come on man, you'd really be helpin' me out. Unless you'd rather me go prowling through schools out in the suburbs." Trevon again was working on Jamal's feelings trying to get him to agree to what it is he wanted. Jamal was thinking about agreeing for another reason entirely. The opportunity to stick it to an asshole like Markus was too great to just pass up, and at the same time DJ could handle the music and show his ability and get his name out there. With those thoughts in mind a plan began to form in Jamal's mind. "Alright then, get the word out. We're gonna throw a party out here in the Hills. One that will put us all on the map out here." Jamal announced much to Trevon's excitement. "That's what I'm talkin' about my man! This shit is gonna be epic!" Trevon replied Jamal was hoping for it to be exactly that. In more ways than one. |
