Marie could see Lucky's face twitching slightly ever time Joli's name was brought up. She figured that he needed some time to reign in his anger so Marie explained. "Yes JoliBebe is here in Chicago. She is a member of my crew and she has a penchant for getting into trouble. Don't get me wrong. She is a hell of a gangster, but..." Marie turned back to see how Lucky was doing. "Well I think she rubs your father the wrong way sometimes." |

Isabella's face fell slightly. "Oh." She said, thinking back on all the fun she use to have with the woman who picked her up, taught her how to hustle, and made sure she didn't end up behind bars for life. She wasn't sure how to explain the depth of her gratitude to Joli or how much she cared for her old partner in crime - especially when sitting with her Father and a Godmother... both of which seemed to have reservations on Joli. Still, despite not knowing how to speak the words in this moment she knew her good opinion of Joli wasn't going to change just because someone else didn't like her much. Their ties were deep and only a rat forgot the people who helped them climb up from nothing. |

"Joli is a wild one. I know she taught you a lot and is your friend. I am not saying dump her, I am saying I am going to have someone else train you in the other areas of this business." He says to her Lucky knew what it meant to have a mentor. He had Luca and would have done anything for that man. If his daughter was like him there was no way she would just avoid Joli and he wouldn't expect her too. |

"I'd be an idiot to ignore anyone you recommended I learn from." she said picking at the food on the plate before her. "I'm glad you under stand she's my friend and what that means. It would be terrible if something like that were to be a sore spot between us." Isabella couldn't bring herself to tell her father that she was truly worried... not about his reaction to her friendship with Joli - but worried about how he'd view her, when she finally let her guard down. She was generally a happy person, one who liked getting into a little trouble from time to time... it concerned her that maybe she might let Salvatore down when he got to know her more. She looked to Marie, "The meal is really good. Did you make it?" |

| “No I did not. I do like to cook and I think I am a pretty good at it.” She smiled at Lucky gauging his reaction to the remark. “However, often times I don’t get home until it’s late and I am usually exhausted.” She scooped up a fork full of salad and held it. “I willl be sure to tell Doris you liked the meal. It will make her happy.” | |

Lucky pushes the salad away from him and digs into his steak and potatoes. He smiles at Marie's comment about being a good cook. "Yes, she can cook whenever she gets time... She keeps trying to get me to eat this rabbit food," he says with a smirk. "Joli is a good mobster and I don't mind people having fun and getting into to a little trouble." "Well except you," he says to his daughter with a smirk and a wink. |

"I'll keep that in mind." She says shaking her head slightly. After a moment she speaks again, "If I'm going to stay here in Chicago, I'll have to figure out some living situation." She looks to Salvatore, "Perhaps you have a couch I could stay on until I pull together enough cash to rent a home? I do cook a mean steak and fried potatoes... even a blackberry pie that more than a few men have said is as close to Heaven as you'll come without dying. I'd happily cook and clean up your place while I'm here. And I'd work my tail off to get set up elsewhere... I don't want to be a bother." |

Lucky looks at his daughter "Well we have several couches but We also have several bedrooms if you prefer a bed to sleep in?" he says with a smirk. "and you dont have to worry about cleaning up or anything like that. You are more than welcome to stay here." he says thinking how it would be easier to keep an eye on her if she was living her. |

"A bed then." She says finishing her dinner. "And I will help out ... I can't make more work for Marie when she's already such a busy woman and in her condition. I'll do my part until I find enough funds to get out on my own or until you and Marie chase me off with a stick." She chuckles. |

Marie smiles. She liked the idea of having Isabella stay in their house. "You are welcome here as long as you want to stay with us." Marie stood up and went over to Isabella. When Isabella stood up too she took the younger woman's hands in hers. "I am so glad I got to meet you tonight and I look forward to getting to know you better in the days and weeks ahead." She squeezed Isabella's hands and then pulled her into an embrace. Pulling back she said, "Rand will show you to your room and you can start to settle in. Please make yourself at home and if you need anything just ask the staff." |
