Marie changed into her night gown and then sat down at her vanity.  With a heavy sigh she looked at her reflection in the mirror.  She was so tired and so much still needed to be done.  The city leads had all gotten together and had developed a plan for expanding into the cities of New York, Detroit and Las Vegas.  She was encouraged by how well the group was seemingly working together.  Now if she could just keep it altogether.  

She reached up and removed each earring before placing them in her jewelry box.  Then she reached behind her neck to unclasp the necklace she had wore and put it in its proper place.  Picking up her hair brush she combed out her hair and then sank back in her chair.  She got lost in her thoughts as she sat and stared at the vanity top.  Tomorrow Lucky would be going to Detroit.  It was all so soon.  They had not even had a chance to get married liked she had wanted.  The good thing is that it was a short fly, but still.  She had grown accustom to have him every night in her bed.  How were they every going to make this work?

Lucky had been busy getting things in order for the big move. Everything was happening so fast that his head was spinning. He had only found out a few hours ago that he was moving to Detroit. Not only that he was taking over that city and he had to move Coltrane as well to help run the other district. 

His day had been spent hiring movers and buying headquarters for himself and Coltrane and a third place for a new Crew Leader to use. He finally reached home and sat in the driveway a minute realizing that he would be leaving here and leaving Marie. During all the excitement it had not even occurred to him that this is not where he would be staying most nights and that was a tough thing to deal with. 

He got out of the car and walked into the house. He headed upstairs and saw Marie sitting at her vanity and smiled before walking over to her and giving her a kiss. 

Marie smiled as she saw him through the mirror walk into the room and turned to greet him.  "I am glad you are home."  The words were out before she even realized it.  Suddenly in her mind she resolved.  This would still be their home.  He may have to be gone a lot, but she would make sure that this was always his sanctuary to come back too.

She stood up and wrapped her arms around him as she pulled him into another kiss -- a deep and passionate kiss. When she pulled back she was a bit breathless, "I am going to miss you so much."

"I will miss you too my love," he says to her. 

"I will get a small apartment for us to stay in," he says to her. 

Lucky turns and takes off his suit jacket, tie, and dress shirt before turning and walking over to the bed and taking a seat. 

They just had moved into this house it was just starting to feel like home and now he had to leave. 

Marie picked up the jacket from the back of the chair and picked the tie and dress shirt up off the ground before she move to put the shirt in the hamper and hang his jacket and tie up in the closet.  "An apartment sounds lovely.  Something small and cozy when we are together and something that is easy for you to keep up with when I am not there... unless you are planning on hiring a maid."  Marie made a bit of a face at that remark as she closed the closet door.  The thought of another woman in his apartment when she was not there was not something she fancied.  

Walking to the bed she sat next to him.  "Got everything arranged in Detroit?"  

"A maid or two sounds perfect. I would need a few of them since the house I bought is just a touch smaller than this one," he said with a smirk

"I would not make you stay in an apartment," he says to her with a smile. 

"everything is done bought three headquarters and got them all situated and protected."

Lucky had spent millions in getting this all situated not to mention the cost of the home he had bought for them. While an apartment suits him it is not really conducive to the family life. 

Marie smiled.  Lucky had been the one to insist on them moving into this big house after they had gotten engaged.  He thought it was necessary for their station and obvious needed for proper security.  She slipped her arm through his elbow and leaned against him, laying her head on his shoulder.  "Tell me we are going to be able to make this all work."  Her eyes start to water up a bit and she blinks them back refusing to cry.  

Lucky turned and face her so he could look her in the eyes. 

"We will make it work. Detroit is not far from Chicago and hell we both have a ton of business that goes through there," he said to her. 

"how about we split the time between here and there. Spending half our time in each place?" he asks her. 

Marie smiled nodded, "I think that will be a great idea.  There of course will be times when we won't be able to be together, but we should be able to minimize it.  Ravel is coming along nicely and I believe it will do him some good to hold the reigns some and he can lean on Jack and Dub and Jason if he needs too." 

Marie stood and reached for his hand and smiled happily.  Her emotions were truly all over the place.  It was like a damn roller coaster ride.  "I am hungry again.  Let's go get something to eat."
