Pretzels pretzel wonderland Started by: Pretzel on Jun 17, '18 18:11

When Pretzel was a child, one of his passion’s was tasting a whole variety of pretzels. His mafia name is in commemoration of his childhood. He tasted it all, from yogourt pretzels to sugar coated ones. A good thought came to his mind. « what if I opened my own pretzel shop? What if I could get the bucks I need? », he thought.

The location was a very hard factor in starting his little childhood dream. It seemed like Pretzel couldn’t find the perfect spot to set up. He had to search for two full days in order to find the spot. It was a small store that had been abandoned a few years ago. It was in a small neighbourhood located in Detroit. The windows were smashed, and almost every wall had one or two graffitis. Still, it was something he could work with. He couldn’t find anyone that wanted to help him, so he had to the dirty job himself. Once he finished renovating, the place looked good as new. It looked like the store was brand new. The walls were as yellow as the sun, and the door was a velvet red. There was a nice cozy fireplace, you could hear the bundles of wood crackling. When you come in, you smell the nice smell of different pretzel flavours. There was a few flavours in the window you could choose, but you can also personalize different flavours if you wish.

Menu:

Classic: 15$

Salt: 17$

Cheddar: 20$

Rosemary and mozzarella: 20$

Covered with yogourt: 25$

Peanut butter inside: 25$

Sea salt caramel: 30$

Pretzel cinnamon roll: 30$

Personalized: 40$

The shop’s opening day was very sunny, with no clouds in sight. It was very good news for Pretzel, it might attract more people. Everything was perfectly set up, Pretzel thought about everything. He didn’t want to mess something up, he hates that. You could even say he’s a perfectionist. He put nice folky music in the background, just to please his and the customer’s ears. Pretzel wasn’t expecting much, he would be completely satisfied with 5 or 6 customers.

The day passed and nobody came. Maybe it was because the pretzel were 40 $. So Pretzel was sad. The next day, when Pretzel came to his store, the pretzels were gone! Pretzel looked at his dog and the dog said : sorry but I eated all your pretzels. Pretzel was very angry because he made all his pretzels by himself and it is very long to make pretzels. It is about 2h and 18 minutes each pretzels. So Pretzel eated the dog because he was stupid and quit his job and went to Alaska to die because Alaska is very cold. And when Pretzel died, nobody was sad, because the pretzels were to expensive when they were in the store. Today, the legend says that Pretzel reincarnated and became Jesus. Jesus is the answer. Ok bye.

Elias woke up after quite a hectic evening with Isabella_Luciano. He managed to get 2 hours sleep, and he woke up with one hangover of hell.. He left his apartment in the family HQ, before collecting his daily newspaper and setting off for the days work.. Stumbling across a place to eat nearby ... Pretzels Pretzel Wonderland..this was owned by a mafioso who went by the name Pretzel! Elias chuckled to himself at the irony before waking into the establishment...

He walked up to Pretzel and shook him by the hand, and bellowed GOOD MORNING GOOD SIR! I'm feeling rather peckish and i'd love to have a portion of your pretzel cinnamon rolls! He handed over the money before Pretzel served him up with the goods..Elias ate them quickly as was exceptionally hungry 'delicious' he said and gave Pretzel a $10 tip. I'll be sure to pass the good word around Detroit what good produce you're serving up here!

Apache decided to take a break from his restaurant here in Detroit. He wanted to show up at his neighbors business. He had had a good pretzel one other time in his life but other than that any other one he had tried was well over cooked making them hard. He walked across the street and entered through the beautiful velvet red door. Walking to the counter he ordered.

”I’ll take a salted pretzel with cheddar cheese.  Do you guys happen to have a cola a cola?”

Apache was happy to hear they did carry his favorite soda.  He pulled the cash out of his pocket and slid it to Pretzel at the register.  Then Apache grabbed the well made food and found his self a seat right next to the fine fireplace.

Greybeard found himself in Detroit for business again, so he took his usual walk around the streets fo the city. It was becoming something of a habbit to walk around Detroit and the city was becoming more familiar every time he found himself there.

Today he was exploring a different part of the city, in hopes to stamble upon something new and interesting enough to draw his attention. He wasn't wrong in his expectations as soon enough, he found something new. A shop that was selling pretzels. Not sure of what this was, he entered and headed towards the counter.

He started reading the menu and it seemed that the options were a bit controbversial. "Sweet and salty?" he thought. curiocity overtook and he decided to do an experiment of some short.

"Hello there. I would like the classic one, the Rosemary and mozzarella one and last but not least, the cinnamon roll pretzel."

After he was handed his order, he left the shop starting by tasting the classic one. He had to know what made pretzels so flexible in style and he had al lthe time in the world to find out while continueing his walk around Detroit.

She was only in town for a few hours doing some business. With her business concluded, she had some time to kill, and decided to grab some of the gourmet pretzels to take back to her crew. She was sure they would enjoy them.

"I would like 10 salt, and 10 Rosemary and Mozzarella Please," she said to the counter man.

She looked around as she waited, and saw a man that looked oddly like penguin in a pirate costume.  She shook her head, and thought to herself, "The people in the midwest are a bit strange"

The counter man brought her order, and winked at her.. She briefly thought about shooting him, then thought better of it, so she paid for her order and took a glance back at the pirate penquin again, and thought, "maybe, he belongs to that great swing band called the pirate doku. "

She gathered her purchases and headed out into the dirty city without another thought.

Chelsea didn't even have to double-check the address, this was most certainly the place. Through the glass of the front window, she could see all kinds of pretzels hanging on several warming racks inside. Pushing through the red door, she stepped inside and looked around. A brilliant yellow greeted her eyes as a fire crackled away in the fireplace off to the side. What a welcoming place!

She wasn't the only to think so; there were several customers already happily munching away on different varieties of pretzel. One woman walked by with a box that had rosemary and mozzarella pretzels inside, and Chelsea knew immediately what she'd be ordering. A quick glance behind her told her that Fio was likely still back trying to solidify a delivery deal with Apache, so she decided to go ahead and talk to Pretzel herself about the idea they had.

Pretzel was behind the counter himself, and Chelsea smiled widely at him. She and Fio had been blessed to find such a great sponsor.

"Hiya, Boss! Looks like you're doing really well here! May I have a rosemary and mozzarella pretzel, please? Truth be told, I just ate a Fry Dog, but I think I can squeeze in one more treat," she said, resting her hands on the counter.

"There's actually another reason I'm here. You see, with Fio opening The Trane Station on the dock, we've got all the makings for a nice bar for the family and public...but there's no kitchen. So I had this idea that maybe we could see if one or two of the local eateries might be willing to work with us on a delivery system, for the customers, you know? Like if we hired a kid, and he ran orders here and back? It would bring you extra business, help our customers keep from getting completely shnockered on an empty stomach, and everyone makes more money?"

Pretzel had handed her her order as she'd been rattling on, and she paused to take a bite. It was every bit as tasty as she'd hoped.

"Oh. Yeah. These would most definitely sell really well," she said, nodding and covering her mouth as she tried to speak.

Mrs. Uccello with business on her mind was quite the whirlwind to keep up with on the right day. Fiorenzo never minded keeping on her six. It was one of his favorite views of her anyways. Too bad he wasn't that close up to her. He almost walked right by the place. It was the smell that stopped him. He turned to look and found that his nose hadn't betrayed him. The pretzels in the window meant this had to be the place.

Fiorenzo's hand brushed across the velvet red door to the handle. He pushed the door open and went on inside with a turn of the knob. The wonderful scent, he had received outside the place, amplified immensely. Pretzel had put a lot of care into this shop. The soft crackling of the fire caused him to glance over. It was a short lived distraction. He heard Chelsea speaking. He walked over and saw what she must have meant would sell well. Damn that pretzel looked great. That must be the rosemary and mozzarella.

He walked up behind Chelsea and placed his hand on the small of her back. "Vaffanculo, ho appena mangiato." He said as he leaned in and took a bite from Chelsea's pretzel. He gave her a grin as he chewed the bite and wiped his lip. Pretzel had been an amazing sponsor. He had no idea he could actually make an amazing pretzel. He didn't know that the name wasn't just a random moniker. Pretzel had taken a lot of time into getting the flavors right, obviously. Fiorenzo wasn't sure what he had expected.

"You trying to fatten me up or something?" He winked at Chelsea. His attention then moved over to Pretzel. He gave him a nod and smile.

"I think me and your menu will get to know each other very intimately. I assume she already asked you about the business opportunity? This place seems very low key though." Fiorenzo looked around the shop and stopped on the pretzel in Chelsea's hand. He thought about taking another bite. "Do you want the extra business Pretzel ?" The thought of the bite would have to be forced aside. He was already full anyways.

Intrigue has had quite a busy afternoon and had skipped lunch entirely. Was a warm summer day which didn't help with her energy levels draining faster due to the heat. She had to find somewhere to grab some food and something she could have on the go.

She was in Corktown area of Detroit so decided to look for somewhere local and maybe try something new. It was when she spotted Pretzels pretzel wonderland that intrigued her. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained," she said silently to herself as she opened the door to go inside. She was always one with the attitude of 'You can't knock something until you try it' and today she was in the mood to follow it through.

She went inside of the shop and immediately could smell the aromas of the pretzels, it made her more hungry as she made her way up to the counter to take a look and to read what was on offer there. She found herself listening to the music in the background which gave the place a more relaxed feel. She spotted the fireplace and was relieved it was not lit on such a hot day but could not think how lovely it would be in winter to sit beside.

Soon enough, Intrigue had made up her mind of what she would be ordering and went to place it in "Good Afternoon" she said to the person serving, who greeted her back, "May I have 2 Rosemary and Mozzarella's and 1 Cinnamon roll please?" Intrigue asked the server who went and got what she wanted and bagged up for her. Intrigue got out the $70 dollars she owed from her pocket to pay for it and placed in some money into the tip jar on the counter. "Thank you, they smell and look fantastic," She said as she took her pretzels and made her way out of the establishment and back onto the streets of Corktown.
