Lucky's mind was racing after the last of the shots where fired. The attack came out of nowhere and at his house. Lucky had picked up Isabella and carried her into the house laying her on the dining room table. Tiny had already been on the phone calling the doc and had him speeding on his way to the house. Lucky stormed around the house fuming at his men trying to find out what the hell had happened. Lucky walked out to one of the cars that were involved in the attack and used his gun to bust a window and drag a man out of it. He was the only one that had survived the attack. Lucky pulled out through the broken window dragging his body over the jagged and broken glass. His adrenaline was flowing through his body so much that he didn't hear the man scream out in pain as layers of his skin where being shredded and ripped off of his body. He threw the man to the ground. "WHO THE FUCK SENT YOU!!!" he screamed at the man. The man spits at Lucky so he pointed his gun and shot the man in the stomach, one of the painful places to be shot. "WHO THE FUCK SENT YOU!!!" he screamed again. <font color="#66CCFF">The man still refused to say anything so Lucky shot him in both knees and the elbows. </font> <font color="#66CCFF">"WHO THE FUCK SENT YOU!!!" he yelled. </font> When the man still refused to answer Lucky ended the man's life. When the doctor arrived he was rushed into the house and lead to Isabella where Nails was applying pressure to the wound on her chest. The doctor immediately got to work. "Save her doc. Save her." is all Lucky could say. Once his men had made sure the house was secure Lucky ran and grabbed the phone he needed to see if Marie was hit as well. "Marie are you ok? Did you get hit?" he asks her as she picks up the phone
Marie furrowed her brow in confusion. “Yes, I am ok. Why wouldn’t I be?” Realization finally hits her, “What happened?!?” "We where attacked Isabella was hit. The doc is here and we have the place secured. You need to stay safe and stay in Chicago." He tells her. “I am safe!” Marie motioned for Rand and mouthed the words to gas up the plane. “Take care of Isabella and take care of business.” “Don’t worry about Chicago. We are good here.” "Ok Stay safe. I'll keep you updated. I love you." he said to her "I love you too. I will," she said back Lucky hung up the phone and went back to check on Isabella. |

| Marie started barking out orders the moment the line went dead. Men and women went scurrying all over the place as she mobilized a small army. She would not be able to take many men as Chicago had to stay secured and protected, but she could afford a dozen or so. Within ten minutes the caravan was leaving the estate and within 30 minutes the wheels of the plane where leaving the ground. It would not take long for them to reach Detroit.” | |

Darkness parted in a curtain of red and fire. Isabella inhaled and what felt like glass filled her lungs, thrashing wildly on the table she tried to writ away from whatever was causing her agony. She howled with every ounce of strength she had left. "HOLD HER DOWN!" The doctor called out - Salvatore's men came forward took hold of her tight, not allowing her to move and injure herself further as the doctor worked. Isabella tossed her head side to side trying to figure out where she was, how she got here and why - oh god why were they torturing her!?! She could see Salvatore coming into the room, for a moment his smiling face over cinnamon rolls flashed through her mind. "... Dad?!?..." The doctor climbed up on the table and ripped open her shirt trying to get a better look at the wound that continued to bleed so messily all over the beautiful oak dining table. His fingers dipped inside her skin and wiggled around causing her to scream again - this time she could not move and the doctor shook his head. "Fuck." He muttered. "YOU!" He snapped at Nails, "Open my bag bringing it here." Nails rushed to his side with the bag and the doctor dug through his things without hesitation. "It's shattered against her rib. The lung seems to be intact, the trick now is to find all the fragments and some of it's embedded into the bone. If our luck holds, we'll find all the bits and she'll have a quick recovery... if we're not so lucky... I'll be digging around a while." The doctor looked down at Isabella, "Miss Luciano, I can not stress how important this is, you MUST you to hold very still." The doctor called Salvatore over, "If you would help us keep her as motionless as possible - I hope to spare her some of the pain." "Daddy please..." She said in blind terror. She was only now accepting reality - that this man was a doctor and he was trying to help; but he was causing her indescribable pain with each move he made. She couldn't honestly decide if dying, which was a terrifying thought, wouldn't be better than the pain she was feeling now. The doctor came at the hole in her chest with something metallic which Isabella didn't quite get a good look at. "Please... NOooooooooo!" She begged and wailed as he inserted the cold surgical steel into her warm body. As she felt metal scrapping against her rib, pulling bullet fragments out of lithe form, the pain became too much to bear and her eyes closed once again. |

Lucky walked over to the head of the table where Isabella's head was and placed his hands on her shoulders to help keep from moving. He looked down straight into her eyes he could see the pain and fear in them. "Look at me and only me. Concentrate on me," he says to her. Lucky watched as she stared back at him he watched as she winced when the doctor started digging around again. And he watched as her Eyes closed and she had succumbed to the pain. "Good she passed out, its better this way," he said to himself. Lucky remember back to all times he was in her position the pain and the feeling of pure torture. |

Marie hung up the phone and left the manager's office at the airport. She had called Elias thinking he would know what had happened to Isabella. She had heard how much time the two had been spending together. When he did not know, than she knew the attack had taken place in at Lucky's new home. The Godmother got into the car that Rand had secured for them and they all raced over to Lucky's He was going to kill her for leaving Chicago in the middle of an attack, but this was her family. She would not be kept on the sidelines. An attack on her family was an attack on her personally and she would answer it. The drive was not to long and soon they pulled up to the house. Security was tight, but when they realized who was in the car they quickly let her and her men through. She got out of the car when it came to a stop and without waiting for Mat to come around to open her door and ran inside. Lucky's men directed her to where Lucky and Isabella were. She glanced at Isabella who appeared to be resting, and went straight to her husband to greeted him. "Are you both alright?" she asked as she kissed him. |

Lucky was standing by Isabella who was still unconscious on the table. The doctor had managed to get out all of the fragments and get her sewn up when Marie walked into the house. He watched stunned, angry at her coming to Detroit when he asked her to stay in Chicago but he was also grateful she was there. He needed her at that moment. He had never had to deal with anyone this close to him being shot before, usually it was him lying on the table. He watched as she walked up to him and heard her speak but it took a moment to register what she had said to him. He kissed her back out of instinct, not because he didn't want to but rather he was beside himself and was trying to grasp the situation. He hated the not knowing. He did not know who tried to have him killed he had to wait and that was something Lucky was not good at. "What are you doing here? I told you to stay in Chicago to stay safe. We don't know who hit us." he said to her |

Marie embraced him and held him tightly. "We will figure that out and we will take care of business, but right now you need to be here for your daughter." She pulled back enough to look him in the eyes, "What did the doctor say?" |

"She will be fine he was able to get the pieces of the bullet out and close the wound. She is still unconscious they will mover her soon to her a bed the doc just wants to keep an eye on her for few to make sure there are no surprises," he says to her Lucky and Marie sit and talk while they waited. A couple of hours later they moved Isabella into a bedroom for her to rest. Lucky sat in the room with Marie not leaving his daughters side. He would not leave unless it was to kill the people responsible. Lucky was fidgeting and constantly checking on Isabella it was obvious that he was not doing well. |

Marie did her best to comfort Lucky. She understood what he was going through as she had been through it with him. Waiting was always the toughest part. Lucky had been unconscious for 3 days when he was shot. It had been the longest 3 days of her life as she waited not knowing if he would live or die. She kept reassuring him that Isabella would be okay. The time seemed to inch forward, but finally Isabella started to stir and Marie sighed in relief. She laid a gentle hand on her husband's shoulder as he sat next to his daughter on the edge of the bed. He had taken hold of Isabella's hand and was gently rubbed his thumb over it. |

The sun shone warm down on her skin from a cloudless sky above. Isabella had never seen such a blue color before - it seemed to go on and on endlessly. The sounds of gulls, carnival music, and people talking blended harmoniously in her ears - one not louder than the other, creating an atmosphere of childish glee. She walked with a bounce in her step, the impact of her feet on the boardwalk was almost non-existent - she was so carefree she felt like she must be flying. She approached a hot dog cart where her father was ordering two dogs - one for himself and one for Marie who was pushing a baby carriage. She thought it was odd they didn't have their bodyguards with them, but the thought was merely a passing one as they waved happily to her. As her father waved he dripped some ketchup on his suit and she laughed. The blob of bright red seemed to spread oddly all over his white shirt covering his whole chest. Marie, attempting to wipe it up soon had her own hands covered in red. Isabella, hoping to help, came rushing towards them only to see the baby carriage was empty. In a panic she began moving the blankets looking for the baby. Where was he? Where was her brother? She looked up at her parents only to find them gone... the music was gone, the people, EVERYTHING was gone. She and a lone baby carriage stood on a decaying Coney Island Boardwalk. Scared to her core, she pulled her gun that, a moment ago, she didn't even realize she had. She walked down the street slowly, peaking around corners before turning them. She was hunting someone, but if she'd been asked who, she couldn't really remember. She did know that if she let her guard down for even one second that would be it. She'd be dead. It was them, or it was her. It always was. The skies were black here and rain was always possible. She couldn't remember a time when it wasn't like this - a storm over the horizon, every single minute of every single day. Her clothing was black. It was easier to wear black constantly - the obituaries never went a day without someone's name being added to them so why wear anything else? She heard her name, she turned and raised her gun on the man who spoke, instantly she broke down - all the fear she had pent up came rushing to the forefront of her mind. "Elias..." She moaned, her brow furrowed, her sleep restless. As she said his name, she blinked, only to open her eyes in the hallway outside her father's office. She was taking Antonio's tongue to him. Elias and she mere inches apart. "I want you..." Her voice was a breathy whisper, "to know how much but that means to me." She knew what she'd told him with her pause, but she knew that was impossible... for now. She swallowed hard and smoothed out his shirt. "We can't go in like this." She whispered as she tried to shake out her look of desire, to cast aside all the emotions that had been building over their days and weeks spent together. "He'll think you've broken the rules. Maybe I should do this alone... I'll tell him you helped." Elias stepped towards her, causing her to back up until she connected with the wall beside the door. Pressing himself into her he kissed her passionately, this time she did not fight him. Isabella wrapped her arms around his neck and he put his hands on her waist lifting her up. She wrapped her legs about him and braced herself on the wall as his lips moved from hers to her neck. His hands slipping up under her shirt were warm, so very warm and getting hotter. At first she was certain it was her own arousal, she'd wanted this for what felt like forever, and now that they were in the moment - of course she'd be desperate to get her clothes off and experience his body against her own; but that wasn't it at all. The flesh of his fingers rotted quickly, falling away to bone, and the same was happening all over him - until a skeleton was arduously trying to take her in the hallway of her father's house. His bones were like fire ripping into her, tearing at her shirt and into the flesh of her chest as if he meant to dig out her heart. "DADDY!" She cried out in her sleep. She tossed her head to one side and another as the skeletal Elias continued into her ribs, scratching at the bones trying to dig through them. Tears leaked out the corners of her eyes and slowly stopped - eventually she was still once more. Violin music made her look away from the Skeleton and just like that he was gone and forgotten. She went downstairs to investigate where the music was coming from. An evening gown appeared on her without any reason, but Isabella didn't notice at all. She just smiled at Hank Moody who was waiting for her with a dozen red roses at the bottom of the stairs. |

Elias arrived at Don Salvatore's new home, pulled up at the gate and was ushered through hastily, before they closed them behind him.. He was in a bad way, emotionally he was all over the place, and not in a good way. He couldn't even remember his journey to the Don's mansion, just that he was there now, and he was going to try and get to him & Isabella. He walked through the front door, which was guarded once more by two of Dons bodyguards, after a quick pat down they let him through..
Don Salvatore heard the door close behind Elias and immediately went to check who it was, there eyes locked, and neither one of them blinked. Elias wasn't even sure if he'd been shot down there and then. They hadn't had a proper conversation in a few weeks now. He was certainly keeping Elias at quite a distance. He walked up to him, and shook his hand and took him into a warm embrace. This was the first human and respectful thing he had ever done to Elias, maybe he was starting to finally trust him.. 'she's said your name' said the Don, as he quickly put Elias to arms length once again..'I don't think you'd be stupid enough to carry on what I thought you were doing earlier, seeing as it almost cost you your life, so I trust you in that sense.' he sighed before carrying on..'there must be another reason for it, and whatever that reason may be, she still isn't awake to answer.'
'Don Salvatore - I've come as quickly as I could. Godfather Lucania called me, I rushed, and I..' the Don cut him off, he was clearly an emotional wreck. Trying desperately not to show weakness, or that his heart was currently shattered into a thousand pieces. It was a time like this that Elias truly realised how much he called for Isabella. She meant everything to him, and he wasn't even sure she was even alive after the attack, but after what the Don had told him, assumed that his worst fear was not true.
'Please Don, could you take me to Isabella?' asked Elias in a soft tone, with his voice almost breaking under the emotional turmoil. The Don said nothing but just walked in Isabella's direction, silently inviting Elias to come along with him. They walked towards the dining room, and as Elias entered the room he saw Isabella lying there, in a bloodied mess, clearly struggling to catch her breath. He saw Godfather Lucania sitting beside her, holding her hand. He somehow managed a wry smile in her direction. He adored the Godfather, his father had served her for many years until he was killed in the line of duty, but he knew how proud he would of been to see her rise, and rule an entire city.
He felt so powerless standing 15 feet away from her, and felt that he'd betrayed the promise he made to himself & to Don Salvatore that he would keep her safe. He thought to himself 'if she could be harmed on the grounds of the Don, then nobody is safe. I need to find out who was behind this' he turned to the Don with the tears in his eyes, his lip was quivering, yet he still wouldn't let out the screams that were built up inside of him. The Don ushered Elias over to the table, this was by far the closest he'd ever let Elias be to Isabella, another sign that maybe his trust was growing. Elias stumbled over Isabella and although unconscious still, Elias believed she would know he was there, next to her and by her side once more, he lent in to kiss her forehead, and his lips stayed there for longer than they should of, but there was nothing Elias could do about it. His emotions had taken over his actions once again. As he lent in to Isabella, that familiar smell of her hit him like a bullet in the head, it was instant, and euphoric. The scent of the perfume Elias gave her a few weeks ago, as a gift - as a token to their friendship..
As he lent up once more he looked at Don Salvatore...'Please tell me everything you know so far about this attack, I need to seek vengeance on whoever is stupid enough to harm dear Isabella, and I won't sleep, I won't eat, hell. I won't even breath properly until the culprits lying in a pool of their own blood. I'll make them suffer more than anyone, or anything in this world. They will know directly from me that if you fuck with a Luciano, your life is not worth living.'
Elias was seething with rage, and his only calming influence currently was subconsciously; once more he'd found that his fingers were intertwined with Isabella's, and every now and then, felt her grip tighten ever so much on him. |

All across the dance floor Hank spun her, until another man took her hand, this time it was Walldon Clarke. They laughed together a bit, then Dub cut in without warning. "I can't be kept from you forever, Princess." As he leaned in for a kiss, Hank cut in with a rose in hand. Isabella laughed. "More gifts?" "A beauty such as you deserves them." "My father will kill you." She joked. "Please tell me everything you know so far about this attack," She heard Elias say, but she could not find him in the crowd. "I need to seek vengeance on whoever is stupid enough to harm dear Isabella." He sounded so very close and yet she couldn't see him. "Elias?" She called out. "I won't sleep, I won't eat, hell. I won't even breath properly until the culprits lying in a pool of their own blood." "I have to find Elias." She tried to tell Hank, but Hank just kept smiling in a sinister way - laughing wickedly. Isabella struggled to get away but there was no give to her dance partner's grip. "PLEASE!" She cried out. "LET ME GO! ELIAS!!!!" Suddenly there was Elias as they spun round a tall marble column, a gun pointed at Hank's head. "I'll make them suffer more than anyone, or anything in this world." He said looking deep into her eyes. "They will know directly from me that if you fuck with a Luciano, your life is not worth living." Elias pulled the trigger spraying Hank's brains all over the walls. Isabella didn't flinch. She just stared at the strange way the blood flowed into shapes on the floor. Guns, skulls, knives. Elias took her hand and as he did she gave his a gentle squeeze. "Dance with me." She whispered to Elias and he pulled her close, dancing through Hank Moody's remains. "Sing." She whispered and Elias' voice carried them from one room into another, the eyes of everyone she ever knew watching them closely. Guns in all their hands. Her heart raced wondering when the dance would end with one or both of their deaths. |

Lucky leads Elias out of the room and headed to his office. Lucky walked in and lit a cigarette then poured himself and Elias a drink. He turned and walked over to Elias handing him the drink. "Elias I know how you feel for my daughter and I know what you have been through because of it," he said to the man. Lucky took a drink before continuing. "I know how you feel right now. But I need you to put that aside," he says looking at Elias. "I need you. I need the member of this family, not the man that is in love with my daughter," he tells him. "I don't know how did this. I know its not the FBN. I need you to find out who is behind this." "Once we know, then we will move on them. They attacked me at my home and shot my daughter I will handle this one personally," he says to him "You do this right and we will have the serious talk I know you want to have." he said to him. |

Marie sat with Isabella while the men met. She wanted to help her husband, but this was his city... his men. The best thing she could do was to be here beside his daughter helping to take care of her. Taking a cloth she dipped it in a container of water and then rang it out. Gently she dabbed it against the woman's forehead. Her body had a light fever as it fought to heal itself and she hoped that the coolness of the damp cloth would comfort her some. "Isabella, darling. You need to wake up now. Can you hear me? The two men who care about you the most are making plans now to go hunt down whoever it was that hurt you. Before they do that they need to know you are going to be okay so it is time to wake up. Do you hear me? Open your eyes darling. Let them know you are okay so that they can take care of business with level and cool heads." She continued to stroke the woman's temple with the damp cloth. "Come on Isabella. Open those eyes. Look at me." |

Marie came along side her as she walked down a very long hallway. It was quiet now. The pain and the dancing a distant memory. "Isabella, darling. You need to wake up now." "I am awake. Why are you talking like this?" "Can you hear me? The two men who care about you the most are making plans now to go hunt down whoever it was that hurt you. Before they do that they need to know you are going to be okay so it is time to wake up." She stopped. "I'm asleep?" "Do you hear me?" "I can hear you." Her chest ached horribly. "I don't know how." "Open your eyes darling." "I'm trying." Tears leaked from her eyes. "Let them know you are okay so that they can take care of business with level and cool heads." Isabella drew a ragged breath and her eyes fluttered open slowly. "Mmmm." She blinked against the lamp light in the room, wetting her dry lips with her dry tongue. She was so thirsty. It was then she realized she was now in a bed. The sky was dark outside the bedroom window. She couldn't remember how she got here or why she hurt so badly but seeing Marie next to her was a great help to keeping her calm. She considered the situation, the pain, Marie not in Chicago - her lack of ability to know what was going on or had lead to this... and her mind filled in the blanks. "Did they ... is Dad okay? Elias... the crew?" |

Whilst Elias was still speaking with Don Salvatore about the events that lead up to the attack, he noticed Marie by Isabella's bed attempting to get her to wake up. The two gentleman paused their conversation whilst they heard a small, timid murmur. It seemed Isabella was coming round quicker than expected. Elias' heart skipped a beat when he once again heard Isabella speak, although it was so soft, he heard her clear as day. He almost broke down in tears there & then, he wasn't sure he'd ever be hearing her angelic voice ever again. However he held his emotions in as much as possible, especially because the room was filled with so much authority, with Godfather Lucania & Don Salvatore..
Elias walked up to Isabella in her bed, he could see her squinting at the light, she probably had no idea who was in the room her apart from Marie at this point. He heard her mention his name before holding her hand 'I'm here sweetheart, we're all here. The family is fine, we just had a surprise attack, which unfortunately you got caught in some crossfire and took a bullet.' Elias wiped away a tear from his cheek before leaning down and kissing her tear away. 'I promise I'll never let you be in harms way again, and I'll make sure to seek vengeance on the attackers if it's the last thing I do. I thought I'd lost you for a moment, but knowing how strong your Luciano blood runs, I should of known you would of been okay...' He lent in closer so their eyes connected before whispering in her ear..'I love you Izzy' |

She smiled and squinted as he whispered his words of love, and she replied back hoarsely, "My Father's gonna kill you." She had the barest hint of humor in her tone, but her eyes reopening held nothing but affection for Elias. After a moment of looking at him she looked to Marie, "My Dad." Attempting to sit herself up, she grunted, realizing she could NOT sit up at this moment due to the pain in her mid section. Relenting she laid back again. "I need to see him." |

She turns her head to her father, realizing he heard every word Elias said... most likely. She couldn't have been more happy if she tried. Elias holding one hand and Salvatore the other. She squeezed both of them and looked from Salvatore to Elias and back again. "Agent Gerard." She said swallowing hard. "I feel it in my bones, he's tied to this... in some way. Antonio said there were other gangsters meeting with him. What if he... what if he decided to try to hit us in the only way he thought he could? What if he hired the gunmen who shot me? Please, promise me you'll look into Gerard first and make sure he didn't do this. I don't think I'll sleep well so long as that bastard is..." She realized it hurt to talk this much, to take in so much air and to get so riled up. She winced, tearing her hand away from Elias to put it over her bandaged wound. "Can I have something for the pain?" |

Lucky sat and held his daughter's hand. He listened as she gave her thoughts about the agent. Lucky thought for a minute on it. While the agent may have a connection to these guys... This felt like a gangland hit, But who could have sent it. The agent did not have this kind of pull or the balls to pull something like this off. While he was driven, Lucky got the feeling the man wouldn't cross certain lines. He wanted to bust Lucky and Marie for his Career. Killing them wouldn't accomplish that. "We will look into it," he said looking into his daughter's eyes. "The doc is going to give you something for the pain. It will make you sleep as well. you need to rest." he said before moving so the doctor could give her the medication. Lucky watched as Isabella drifted off to sleep when he left the room and started barking orders at his men. He wanted the man responsible and he wanted them now. |
