It had been a long and arduous journey to this point for BudKnight who was now the head of Las Vegas. His quest had originally been to retrieve some belongings from Seattle and he found himself feeling obligated to help those who were calling that city home. They gave him a home, then a position of influence, and eventually they decided to send him out to Las Vegas for a quest of the utmost importance. To rebuild the city that stood upon the desert.... At first it was just Bud, Jones, and Apache who took on the task of rebuilding the desert. Eventually more and more people came to work with them to achieve this task. When you're doing such a task it is not wise to try to accomplish it all on your own so from Seattle came Reginald who would attempt to help them by tackling the project known as Summerlin. As time has gone on, the Knights of Anheuser has begun to feel a bit crowded and it was time for The Strip to see some expansion of operations. This is where Apache would come in, he would become the extension of the Knights of Anheuser and the operations of BudKnight here in Las Vegas. Although he would truly create something of his own the would hopefully be extremely successful here in Vegas alongside Bud and Reginald. Although he didn't know it just yet, Bud was waiting at an old empty building that was recently purchased by his orginization. Jones had gone to get Apache along with Ghost-- and Flexx-Mitchell who were going to be joining him as he set up operations. They did not know why Jones was bringing them to an undisclosed location and they would soon find out. The building was actually an old HQ of somebody who had once worked out of Las Vegas so it was set up quite well already for what they needed. It just needed a bit of cleaning to truly make it home. He would leave that to Apache and his men to take care of as it would make them feel more at home once they felt they had accomplished such a task. There was not long until they arrived so Bud made one single phone call to Jasmine over in Seattle with the phone line he had already set up in the building... "Hello?" The sweet voice on the other end of the telephone said inquisitively. "Well hello, It's Bud. I'm calling from a new number. It's going to be the headquarters of a new crew here in Las Vegas. I just wanted to make sure you go the number. You were the one who sent me over here to tame this city weeks ago. So I know you'll be interested in getting to know those who work alongside me." Bud smiled a bit even though she wasn't actually there. He heard silence on the other end of the phone call for a few seconds, "I'm glad to hear that. Although it is hard to see you growing so fast when it feels that just yesterday I sent you out there so fresh to this world. I cannot say how proud I am to see Vegas coming along so nicely." "Well I appreciate that Jasmine. I'll continue to work hard to rebuild this city for the mafia underworld." He took a sip of a beer he had poured for himself, "I suppose that's it for now. I'll speak to you again when I make my way over to Seattle." "I cannot wait for that Bud! You come see me as soon as you can." She laughed and they both hung up their respective phones. As he placed the phone down and picked up his glass, he heard car doors closing outside. It was finally time. He made his way to the main hallway that led away from the front door and stood there waiting. Jones was the first person he spotted and he held the door open as Apache, Ghost--, and Flexx-Mitchell made their way inside. They already looked a bit confused, but when they saw BudKnight standing there in his blue armor they seemed to get a bit anxious. "Now I'm sure you three are wondering why you're here. I can explain that quite simply." He took another sip of his drink. Before he could speak up Flexx spoke, "Everything cool boss? I've been hustlin like crazy for this crew." Bud held his hand up to stop anyone else from interrupting.... "That's exactly why you three are here. The hard work you've been putting in is going to pay off. This building will be yours from now on. Under the leadership of Apache that is. You two will help him along the way as he and Jones did for me as I began my journey here in Vegas. Hopefully we can see some great things from you two past what you've already accomplished." Bud nodded at Jones and he took those two with him to another room to begin discussing other things. That left him standing there with Apache... "So my friend, although it has not been as long as I would have wished to work with you in the same HQ I am happy to give this opportunity to you. I am quite confident that you will help out Las Vegas greatly." He put his arm around Apache as they walked into a large living room. "I am quite grateful for this opportunity my friend. I will do everything in my power to make you proud of what we can build here." He took a seat on the couch that was leftover. "So, what will you call this crew of yours? Any strong ideas?" Bud looked at him as he finished off his drink. "Why yes, I will call my crew The Black Crows." He looked back at Bud with a serious face. Bud nodded his head a few times as he lit a cigar to take a few puffs. He walked around the room without replying at first which caused a bit of confusion from Apache. Finally BudKnight spoke.... "I think that's a fine name. It will hopefully be a name that none soon forget." He stopped behind the couch and put his hand on Apache's shoulder. As they finished their talk Jones, Ghost--, and Flexx came into the room laughing. "Well gentlemen. Let's go grab us a few drinks together!" Bud put out his cigar and they began to make their way out of the new Black Crows HQ. |

While walking next to his friends with the help of his cane and listening to their plans for the future, Jones couldn't be helped but to look back to his time on this bright city. Nothing shorter than the biggest expectations for it's future crossed the gangster's mind, and to him Vegas deserved to be the raging firefly it once was. Illuminating the Mojave was no small task, regardless of the inherent potential hidden in it's history, but he had no doubt, these three fine gentlemen were the spark this city needed for that step forward. "Dilly Dilly! To The Black Crows." |

When Jones and BudKnight called the trio to the abandoned headquarters Apache was worried. He thought they may have did something wrong. It was a huge relief when Bud had told them that they were there because of the progress they had made. Then BudKnight told Apache the news. Apache was excited and scared at the same time. He didn’t want to let Las Vegas down. If his boss thought he could do it then Apache would not let him down. Before leaving to head to the bar to celebrate Apache pulled his two partners Ghost— and Flexx-Mitchell aside. ”Let’s make The Black Crows Shine brothers! We have a lot of work to do after the celebration! I mean look at this place?” Apache took a quick look around there was cob webs in the corners and broken floor boards from the old owners. He planned on giving his new home a Native American theme. Maybe paint some murals and hang a few dream catchers. Apache walked to BudKnight and gave him a hug. ”Thanks boss you don’t know how much this means to me! Now let’s go get those beers!” |
