"Boss, you sure this is the place?"

An impatient driver, nicknamed "Dirty Hands" due to his inability to use cutlery even when it was near the plate, trembled. New places made him nervous, and his size didn't help; making it the most claustrophobic 1 hour he'd ever seen.
"One of my most trusted bodyguards is also the most annoying," Vincent grumbled, placing his hat over his face like he was going to take a nap, adjusting himself in the back seat and ignoring the big guy at the wheel.
Some Sicilians had the habit of appearing in arranged meetings very early on in a new territory, so they could track suspicious individuals, follow leads, and keep tabs on anything that could mean trouble; treachery was everywhere.

Even thou Elyan , the well respected Welsh crew leader of the Skinwalkers, was disciplined and surely aware that working alongside the powerful La Cosa Nostra was an excellent opportunity, the man was still unknown to Vincent, who hoped the two of them working  together could remake LA into one of the top, money-making cities in organized crime.

This was a street meeting. Vincent always looked for a public, informal setting.

The corner of Hollywood and Vine... It was a good few miles northwest of Downtown, but it was a busy area and very public... That is what Vincent_Mancini had first mentioned upon his initial contact. Ely set up the spot, knowing it was a good place for both of the men to feel safe from each other - just in case anything went wrong. However, Elyan was fairly certain that Mr. Mancini was a genuine man, and truly wanted what was best for the city. If that were the case, then the two would get along just fine. Regardless, there was always a worry for treachery. As such, the two had agreed upon this very public and informal first meeting.

Elyan sat on a bench, legs crossed as he read the day's newspaper. The previous wars still littered headlines, and Ely flipped beyond those stories to get to the sports reporting. L.A.'s Angels (a minor league team in the Pacific Coast League) had played a series, and he'd missed the last two games. Thumbing through, he grinned as he popped the pages and laughed.

"HAHA! Demitir! The Angels pulled it off! You know, we should get into the baseball racket... It looks like a fun sport. Maybe we could start a team... Or own one..." He shrugged as Demitri rolled his eyes and returned to his position, leaning against the wall next to the bench where Elyan sat.

"So, this Vincent Mancini... What do we know of him?" the vigilant Demitri asked as he crossed his arms over his chest and watched up and down the streets.

"Not much, yet... He's from Detroit's operation. They are sending him out here to seize control of the city." Ely replied.

"Our city!" Demitri howled a bit annoyed.

"No... his city. They won, and they are appointing him. We will do everything in our power to make sure he is safe and on track to leading L.A. into a prosperous future. I plan to work with this man. L.A. took a hit, but I'm am certain that he only wants to see this fair city back on it's feet. It will be my honor to work alongside him, and you would do well to remember that, Demitri." Ely scolded his friend of many years, his enforcer.

"I know... I know..." Demitri sighed. "The sting is still there, that's all. But you're right of course. I'm sure he will do wonderful things for this city, and we will support him in his decisions."

"Correct..." was all that Ely added after Demitri understood. He returned to his reading and awaited their new city lead's arrival. He should be joining them on the street corner soon. He and his one other man they both agreed to.
