A bead of condensation dripped down from a small tumbler glass filled with ice and “medicinal” whiskey on the roof of Goliath National Bank, meeting its end on a paper coaster that was used for Spaceman’s café at the ground level.  The newly-minted Godfather of Philadelphia took a small sip from his glass, seated on the ledge of the building as the door to the roof opened in the distance, revealing @Star.  Spaceman signaled a chair to the young woman as he took in the sound and view of the city.

“There’s many variables when it comes to people.  Their decisions, their reactions.. where their organs are located-”

Star offered a lone raised eyebrow in reaction - a disagreement already starting to form on her face as Spaceman continued.

“..but those things are expected inside and outside of the patient's room.  But you're an exception in that you have managed to be a stable, dependable force around Philadelphia in the entire time that we’ve had this beautiful city.  Hard work is going to lead the way in making Philadelphia the best it can be.  Which is why I'm comfortable with what I'm about to do.."

Spaceman finished his whiskey as he lifted himself out of his chair and beckoned Star to follow him.  Moving down a single level, Spaceman opened a large wooden door to a corner office - otherwise empty save for a bookcase and a bag filled with overalls, work boots and a blue polka dotted handkerchief.

“You’ll be a few doors down from me on this level, but you will be inheriting the bulk of my operations inside of Goliath.  I will be specializing in a few.. longer term operations in our city.  And my pharmacy, of course.  You’ll have almost full disposal of our tools here in the city.  I figured you may want to spruce the office up to your own tastes to make your mark on it.  Which brings me to my.. gift.  Come with me.”

Spaceman made his way towards the bookcase and lifted a hidden switch, unlocking a small lever that allowed the bookcase to rotate.  Revealing a small cellar with a metal staircase, he led Star up the stairs to reveal a mini observatory that had been nestled  into the top wing of Goliath’s building.

“A small perk of being all the way up here.  Well done, and congratulations.”

Star's eyes filled with tears as she looked around the room, imagining the possibilities that such an office could hold. It was cozy, the perfect space for her desk and chairs and...she paused, taking a deep breath. It was all happening but she needed to be level headed about the whole thing. She was older now, wiser, and she'd worked hard to get where she was. Still, she couldn't help but feel giddy as she stood there and soaked in the feeling.

It seemed, however, that Spaceman wasn't finished yet and she tracked his movement as he pulled the switch that revealed the staircase. Catching her breath, she followed him curiously up the steps, peeking tentatively over the top of the next level. As she finished her ascent into the room, she couldn't help the excited squeal that escaped. There were star charts that lined the wall and many of Star's own drawings and paintings. Spaceman must have raided her old office to collect them and they made the whole atmosphere look homey and welcoming. The best addition was the gorgeous telescope perched under a retractable window which she couldn't wait to put to good use.

With her hands still in front of her face to hide the look of shock and wonder, she moved forward to thank Spaceman. She wasn't sure if a handshake or a hug was more appropriate so she went with the hug.

"Thank you Spaceman, this is amazing. I hope to make you proud in every way here in Philly. And Good luck to you too! I can't wait to get started."
