Hello fellow players, mobsters and maybe poets. I sudenly had this idea to open up a thread where people can post poetry they've written. If you're too shy to post it yourself just MM it to me and I'll make sure it shows up here.
Since I started the thread I guess I'll start with a poem, wrote this one about 3 years ago, hope you guys like it.
When you walk down the beach Have you ever thought These shells used to contain something that was allive Have you ever heard that crunch under your feet whilst hearing it did you feel bad? Now imagine me in that shell Is stepping on it still that easy? you might say no But in truth you already did And you still laugh |

Very thought provoking, love this thread idea as I do a bit of poetry scribing myself when the mood strikes and love to see other people's styles and topics. Here's one I wrote while working in as a qa tester in an office. Sorry if it's a bit lengthy/repetitive.
The office where the sins are all made.
The silence is deathly but the screams still rebound, in the corridors of pearl where all the sins can be found.
There's no end and no measure of chained misery to pleasure. Where the pure corrupt sinners, while angels screw on the ground.
We are not here with lust. We are not here with pride. We have no business with greed. No burning vengeance inside.
We sin for the people. We sin for the trade. This is the office, where the sins are all made.
The laughter is toxic but it hides all our fears, in the rooms where we cower, from our minds bleeding tears.
There’s no beginning or weight To our misunderstood fate. Where the joy pollutes anger, While daemons love us for years.
We are not here by force. We are not here by choice. We have no business with envy. No quiet, silent voice
We sin for the people. We sin for the trade. This is the office, where the sins are all made. |

I’d love to share a poem with feeling something grand, epic, and noble instead, with a shitpoem you’ll be dealing since, alas, I’m just on mobile |

Poetry never has been one, that I can safely say, I've been a master of, on any given day. I find the form confusing, The lines and words and rhymes, I struggle writing fluidly Even faltering at times. So here's my silly poem, I hope I did it right, And if I failed miserably, Take pity on my plight. |

I'd like to preface this by saying I like prose, and dislike rhyming couplets. A spark flickers, ignites. The flame leaps forth like an ever ready warrior, forcing the growing darkness to recede. He holds it to the tip of the cigar, and just as suddenly as it was there, it goes out. Now only scant embers remain of what once was. The night is in full bloom, and there is work to be done. |

I jumped back just to give myself some space. my hustle is strong you know I bring it straight laced. I rock it so smooth that everybody wants a taste, they can't wait, I just sit back, but never hesitate, lookin for the opening , i go and get it Im never late. |
