Why is it, in this day and age, we still have to run google documents alongside the game to keep track of our crews shot reports and their wackstat.

Whats the thoughts on creating a in game shot report under manage profile or something. It would still be entirely up to the user to fill these out or not, truthfully, or not.

Then on your crew page its another column like 'age'  or 'earnings'

Seems mad that this is such a 'part and parcel' part of the game now and part of running a family but yet we still have to do it completely independently :/

I dont think it has to give away any more game mechanics. Thoughts?

there was a previous thread which many thought it would be great to have this! im still supporting this :D

Would be good. +1

I'd like this as well, as cutting down on having to use a third party service would be a positive in my book.  +1

I'm almost caught up with some stuff and I can probably set aside something in two weeks to take a stab at it.

A few tidbits: I can give you counts, as well as history of what you reported previously as well as a % you can fill out to pad the numbers for some privacy. I can't give you exact wack stats but I'll let you plug in your own formulas so you can figure out tour own. Also it won't factor in tapering.

You'll be on your own to toggle somethings value for rebuild, u48s, and other outliers.

Fair?

Excellent. Thats the first suggestion in about 15 years Ive had which hasnt been ripped a new one. I feel so proud

That sounds fair as written, although I do have one tidbit I'd like to ask about:

as well as history of what you reported previously as well as a % you can fill out to pad the numbers for some privacy

With the removal of witness statements for everything but live players and CA's, is there a particular reason why we need to make it even easier for someone to be dishonest on their SR?   Making someone do all of the legwork in providing an inherently accurate report seems fair, in my opinion.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, and only the person receiving the SR's can see previous submissions.

If I report 150, then 200, then 250, then 220 them I'm screwed.  Shot reports are shared outside of crews, outside of districts, and outside of cities. Shot reports determines who dies first.

Creating an official tool for shot reports causes all excuses to not do one to go by the wayside, so what situation does this create?  Send your shot report or you get killed.   Oh you say you arn't training your gun, then send it up to prove it (or die).   Having a person in a position of power demand anything from users that is factually backed by the games code creates a situation for abuse.  By allowing a member to forge the numbers, it doesnt strip away the privacy of a user.  Doing it this way meets all the goals that you want - and easy way to do a time consuming shitty task.  What it doesnt do, is now give the CLs an all seeing eye to now track the sites guns with accuracy never seen before, and all with the simple 'submit, or else' statement.

I really like that there is some privacy to it.

Report Post Tip

Thats basically what Im thinking Izzy yes, thanks

Report Post Tip

Great idea! Any update if this is still on the drawing board for implementation?

Report Post Tip

Did anything ever come of this?

Report Post Tip

Reaaaalllly cool idea.

Please tell me this is still in process?

Report Post Tip

With the current announcement regarding third-party sites is there any timeframe for this feature?

Most of us use Google Docs for this information which doesn't require a login to fill out the shot report form nor does it collect identifying information such as that suggested in the current privacy policy update unless specified by the form designer... But it's a LOT easier to keep things sorted than back alley threads and mobmail...

Yeah, I feel MR would really benefit from in-game Shot Reports and also some way of efficiently keeping an IA list would be great. I'm not sure how much work this would incur, but I think everyone would gain from it.

Why is it the CL has to share with 90% of the base?

Report Post Tip

I stand corrected. It is nearly 95% if the user base, if not a tad higher.

A gun is a gun. No wonder Rogues are stepping up.
