| Is the grass greener? | Started by: TonyCosta on Jul 26, '18 23:27 |

It's been just over two months since we saw the entire country go to the mattresses leaving La Cosa Nostra nearly shattered, and in a state of rebuild. About a month after that we saw another war break out that once again devastated this thing of ours, but not to the same degree as the first one. To my knowledge this all started in the search for change and a better way of life. With that said I lay upon all you in the masses this question, is the grass greener? In my opinion yes. We got a world full, striving, yet still building and growing. The streets are active with tales, parties, and crime. Yes we are seeing some old lines repeating the cycle of life and running a crew, though I'd also like to point out a chunk of leaders are first timers or just on their second chance which is great to see too. There's diversity. I'm sure some might say the same about life under the old regime, which hey I can't argue with your experience everyone's is bound to differ in one way or another. Though I do like how the we aren't using such underhanded tactics as the former did with their blood lining, their tight grip around the countries neck, 'purging' group, families, or cities because they were too afraid of anyone else having power. They weren't loved just feared from how I saw it. I'm not going to say this is a perfect world but in my opinion it's a world I'm happy to be a part of. I know there's others out there who may believe differently and I'd like to hear why. What's things you enjoy about our new found way of life, what's your dislikes, and things you would change or add. I'd love to hear everyone opinions and to get some back and forth going. Been awhile since I've been a part of any 'street debates'. |

Ciao signore Costa. Well said. The newer leadership lines I've seen and the younger members who have not yet tasted the experience of leadership have been incredibly impressive to me. I'm working with a couple of individuals in my own operation on providing training and guidance on the finer details of crew leadership, covering decision making and etiquette, to how we approach situations and what we can offer outside the normal limits of the world. I'm aware of a few now significant leaders who are on their lines first run at the top, and again, it is well handled. Perhaps it's the innocence or perhaps its nativity, but it goes to show what a breath of fresh air can do. I'm grateful for this, grateful because this era has allowed me to roll out, and continue to bring to life, projects and ideas I've never had the chance to before, not myself or my lineage. There's a distinct lack of tension and paranoia, and the world feels much more productive than it has in previous times because of it. Something I've always wanted to try, is to focus on the way we operate in this world as individuals, rather than bearing down on the way others do. |

Well TonyCosta, historians note many destructive wars, perpetuated by those with hunger in their bellies. History also notes those driven by a different type of hunger; hunger of the flesh. We can only hope that the new inductees are not subject to the sickening sexual degenerency that your line is known for. |

| Looking at those taking part in this discussion, with the honorable exception of I, the close relationship between the degenerate bloodlines is clear | |

I am not sure how to answer this except yes and no. While the grass may seem so much greener regarding certain aspects of our world it may not be so in other aspects. Yes we are seeing a lovely wonderful peaceful time. It is allowing many families to focus where they feel they need to focus as well as individuals. There are much more people telling their stories of their lives, or events. However, we are lacking in other areas. We are seeing an increase in the community in self loyalty instead of loyalty to families. We are seeing a decrease in discussions (but a pretty positive that there are a few still trying to bring them about). So while the grass may look greener, there are a few brown spots here and there. |

Thank you Don JackMezzo for taking the time to stop by, it's always a pleasure hearing you voice your opinion. I'm glad to hear you are doing your part to train the next generation of members. It's crazy how things have changed, especially with the point you brought up about some very prominent leaders and uppers being on their first run in such positions. I believe it's because of people like you that took time and patients when training them. With the world being more productive do you think there is any area's we are lacking in or that have gone overlooked? I ask as Wild has pointed out that we are seeing a decrease in discussions, which I can agree on. I actually only attempted to bring up a discussion as it had been awhile since I've seen one, though to be fair some things in the streets to slip by me. Wild do you think there's anything in particular causing this, or just is it just simply getting overlooked? You say there's more self loyalty instead of loyalty to one's own family, and that right there I can see being another discussion. Back in the day loyalty to your family was the all or nothing. Any scheming or double crossing was a smudge that was hard to get off your bloodlines reputation. Though over the years things changed drastically. I understand the importance of loyalty to ones family, but allow me to open a new window on this topic. What about loyalty to preserving this thing of ours? Loyalty to the safety of the people and world? I think that has become important. You may be loyal to your family but what if that family is led by say a Disorder? We watched those loyal to his family scorch not just families but nearly the entire world by the end. Had those with him been loyal to the La Cosa Nostra instead they would have shot him to preserve what we had. However for years it would've been argued if what they did was right or wrong but still is that sort of loyalty obsolete? |

In regards to discussions being had, I know that there was a speech regarding this before. There are always many options to why there are not many. Our current leadership doesn't really get seen in them, and many follow what the leadership does. Interest may have gone out the window. People may feel that things have been discussed to death. And as always there can be a complete lack of motivation to create them. I can't pinpoint exactly what is causing the lack of discussions. Perhaps some are getting overlooked among the stories being told. I think the loyalty to ones family is becoming more obsolete. Loyalty to preserving one's self. To one's ambitions are taking the cake right now. Why? I am not sure I could answer that. My line's loyalty has always been to my leader over themselves. |

That's an interesting question, Mr. Costa. Unfortunately I don't think I'm best placed to make that assessment. I keep myself busy with both internal and external engagements, so from my own perspective, my life here is pretty full and fulfilled. I feel like there is a strong understanding of the direction those at the helm want to steer this ship towards. There also isn't an overly heavy hand swatting everyone out of the way to get there, as you would expect from someone who wants to preserve that course. There is still a degree of learning going on, however I would never advise anyway to assume they know everything. |
