Race Street Pier is an extension of the street itself, reaching out into the Delaware River from Philadelphia's Old Town. The mostly wooden structure is broad and deep, splashed with a slight green colour in places. The deck is wide enough to support multiple businesses and a walkway around the pier itself, while the second level at water level is designed to support imports and exports from passing ships. 

Business is good on the pier. A system maintained by TaraByrne ensured that anyone who wanted to open a venture of their own on Race Street would be able to, and Jack's workforce would encourage a steady flow of clientele to the front. 

So far, they had The East Cat itself, Jack's own hideaway from the hustle of daily life. A modest drinking hole which was populated by men and women from the shipping quarters below. A 24 massage parlor, The Liberty Belle, is also featured, owned by the young Stella_DiVasio. Jack had yet to indulge, but the way this week was going, it wouldn't be long.

Madeline had opened up a New York Meatball Sub Shop, which emitted enticing scents across the entire length of the structure, while the Observatory owned by Star took centre stage as a venue of great potential and purpose. Together, these entrepreneurial ventures formed a solid foundation of commercial revenue on the pier, as well as frequent footfall. There was also a candy shop, opened by the late Jonny the Con, though this was boarded up and unused.

The pier business model was never intended to muscle out other businesses in Philadelphia, just raise the profile of those busineses which had paid up for such treatment.

With exposure, also came risk...
