It happens for a variety of reasons; but whatever the case may be, sometimes a crew leader will leave these shores.  When they do, their members become homeless and are at risk.  Protection Orders can be issued to allow these individuals time to find a new home.  When you issue a protection order please consider that they are specific rules set in place for a short amount of time.  It is important for everyone to be aware of them.  Those caught breaking a protection order will be punished swiftly.

When announcing a protection order, please consider the following

• Include the family names of those that fall under the protection order.
  People tagged with these name are protected. People that are not wearing clear tags of their family are excluded from the protection order.

• Include a clear end date when the protection order ends.

• If applicable, mention explicitly if a protection order counts for everyone, or only for associates.

• If applicable, mention explicitly if a protection order includes inactives people.
  Otherwise by default, people who have been inactive for more than 7 days are considered excluded from the protection order.

When learning of a new protection order, please consider the following

• When you are a hand or crewleader, inform your members of the new protection order.
  Do this through the communication channel of your choice, but make sure your members are up-to-date.

• For clarity purposes please refrain from discussion about technicalities and sentiment in this specific place.
  If you have remarks, please talk with those who issued the order or offer the opportunity to discuss elsewhere when relevant.

• Simply abide by the order.
  Give people a chance on another tomorrow.
