Raid The Pier: Midnight Meatball Muggings Started by: GavinAndTaraByrne on Aug 04, '18 05:48

A car came sliding up next to the meatball shop... Why they were driving ON the pier, was a wonder to anyone watching... Even more impressive, would be the luck the driver had maneuvering the vehicle through the benches and other aesthetics without hitting them. Leaning across the seat, the driver could be seen reaching for the door... Low and behold, it was that rascally rabbit, Roger!

"GET IN!" he yelled, a loud belch and hiccups following. "We gotsa go 'fore tha coppersssshhhow up! Or worse!" He gasped, "Madi-Madi-" He hiccuped again, "Madeline! Or TARA!"

He leaned back over into the driver's seat and stared... "Wait... Why'sh there eight of you?"

Gavin stuck his head outside when he heard the car. He then yelled back inside to the whole gang, who then piled into Roger's car.

Reaching into his coat pocket, Gavin removed a meatball sandwich and handed it to Roger before pointing back toward the road.

"Go! Go! Getaway! Go!"

The car peeled off to spin back to the road, leaving a trail of laughter and tomato sauce in their wake.

The previous few moments were almost a blur to Killian. He had hit a wall in his inebriation, and recollection wasn't going to be his strong suit at this point. One moment he was turning of the oven in a rather grand fashion, and the next he was in the back seat of a very rapidly moving vehicle. He did seem to recall holding a mop at one point... or was it a bucket. Either way, he was starting to come down off of that high.

"Oy! Did we do it! Did we actually manage to raid the place?"

Killian looked around at the other occupants of the car, seeking some sort of acknowledgement. He still had all manner of sauce in his glorious muttonstache and a partially glazed look in his eye. The massive stupid grin only helped to make him look completely smashed or absolutely insane.. or possibly a mix of both.

Mr. Rabbit at last! William knew he could make it out before having to explain the door and that's all that mattered. He'd already been running when Gavin had given the command and cackled with mad laughter as they peeled out back off the pier.

"Yeah, Killian, we raided the meatballsh! Now we juss gotta get that shady guy his sammich!"

Willliam scrunched up his face in thought. He couldn't help but feel that they'd forgotten something.

"Hey Gavin. Where ish shady guy?"

Hmm. That wasn't it, but it was a good question too. Oh well, it couldn't have been that important if none of them remembered it.

As they all piled in, Roger floored the pedal underfoot and the tires spun, launching them forward... They'd probably be in trouble for the marks on the pier the next morning, and scrubbing the rubber left behind off of their wooden paradise. Well, some associates would probably be scrubbing the pier (*cough cough* KILLIAN *cough cough* Ahem...). As they hooked a left out on to the road the car slid a bit before catching traction, but as it did the quartet of drunken misfits rocketed down the road toward the inner city district of Bella Vista. Why? Who knew, but it was the direction a drunken Roger was taking them.

Happily, he snacked on his sub that Gavin had handed him and finally looked around the vehicle.

"Didn't know we could fit sheve...eight people in here." He looked at William, "Speshuly wit' two a you big maddafuckash." He poked at William number one, which wasn't really there, and the momentum drug his body with the poke before he righted himself... Unfortunately, the car followed the movement and jerked across the road and back.

"SHORRY! Shorry... My bad. I'll keep 'er shteady. SHTEADY ASHEE GOESH CAPTAIN!" He laughed and took another bite of the sandwich, not even caring if it WAS one of those delicious buffalo chicken ones or not... (It totally was...)

"Sssshhhooooo how'd we do boys?" He kept both hands on the wheel at this point and his eyes straight ahead as he stared down the road.

Madeline watched as they scurried to clean up the room, finishing off the last few bites of her meatball sandwich. She had to remember to give her cook a raise – these things were absolutely delicious.

The men were so horribly drunk that they couldn’t seem to tell heads from tails. Really it was amusing to watch, so she couldn’t be too angry with them. They managed to get the kitchen pretty clean too. When they started talking about a getaway driver, she laughed. Some guy told them? What in the world? She wasn't sure she was in any condition to drive a car herself, but she supposed she could try.

They were talking about a rabbit and Madeline was wondering how a rabbit could drive a car when suddenly she heard a car pull up front. Gavin went to check and suddenly was calling to his people to go go go. Madeline raised an eyebrow, watching as they drunkenly stumbled out the front door and climbed onto a car that was on the boardwalk.

Wait. There was a car on the boardwalk? How had he managed that?! Someone (probably Tara) was going to be very very angry when they saw all the damage tomorrow morning.

Madeline shrugged and closed the front door to her shop after the men had all filled the car. She went back to the kitchen to look for her Buffalo Chicken Meatballs….only to realize that they were indeed gone.

For the first time all night Madeline was actually angry. Drunk and angry, but still. She would make sure Mr. Gavin Byrne heard it the next time she saw him. He owed her one.
