Stormy winds. The weather harshly threw pieces of metal and rock in the air. There was not a soul in sight, well he thought so at least. The minutes on his wristwatch seemed to drag, and still there was no sign of his partners in crime. Now, there were five people involved in this operation. He was afraid that by they time back, the sky would have already been pouring rain and hail, which would kind of sabotage their plans because everyone might feel inclined to go back home and call everything off. Though he could agree to himself that it had been a shitty day, at least the new handgun he had acquired made a teeny ounce of contentment possible. It had been a while since he had fired a bullet, but he started shrinking back into his dull mood when he realized that he was still waiting for the other people. It was supposed to be a planned execution of a notorious mob boss, who hid in the deep, really ghetto parts of Motown City. He had sent a telegram to Vela, urging her to come to Corktown and help him execute this blood shedding event with four other people, which would not only benefit Castielle but also relieve the civilians that one of the top dogs of the illegal drug business had been taken down. However, he was not keen to kill him just because of that, but rather it was out of pure jealousy that in a rapid time, he had gained extremely high profitability with his shipments, which of course, passed by Castielle's family on the leadership board. There many things to know before coming down to settle in Detroit. One of them, was that Castielle was in town. Another one of those intriguing facts, is that, even in the latest hours of the evening- you best be careful of the delinquents that hung around those scary corners because that was where the real party was at. The streets moved about with high activity of drug trade and prostitution slavery. Many wore disguises in order to not get caught, save for their wretched souls who hoped that they wouldn't get beaten into a bloody pulp, and have kids mistake their puddle of red for rain in the darkness. |

It was as if the town never slept, as he passed by the familiar shops, some had closed already while some would be open for twenty four hours. The clock had struck to midnight long ago. He was concerned with the matter, as he knew someone would be waiting. Well, if he was too late, then four other people would be waiting for him by now. He cursed to himself as his boots suddenly stepped over someone's spat-out gum. The stickiness of the gum clung to the sole of his shoes, and he frustratingly walked over to a lamp post and rubbed his shoes against it. Annoyed and irritated with his lack of direction, he shoved both of his hands in his coat pockets and proceeded to make his way down the eerie street. He arrived to the group's meeting place shortly after, worried that he might be the last one to show up, but much to his surprise it was only Castielle that he could see. Dilldough greeted him with a question of how his day was going, but was suddenly ignored. The subject of the conversation changed quickly, as if Castielle was feeling fed up with everyone and only wanted to get the plan done and dusted. After a brief exchange of words, Dilldough had discovered that the walls he would be breaking and entering would require speed. Undeniable speed to match the amount of bodyguards that guarded the boss' entrance. Whatever the case would be, Dilldough was certain that they would succeed in their plan anyways. Well, there was always the possibility of one of the five members having to be left alone to die in the hands of the boss, if he ever caught up to them but it was unlikely. Everyone had done this sort of thing before, whether they were in training or not at the time- everyone had experience, and everyone knew what was expected of them. The headquarters of this notorious mob boss was different than the usual, with its tall, expensive, mahogany double doors that had a ton of locks. With all the knowledge that Dilldough had about picking locks, one would be confident, but this time he wasn't so sure... |

While male and female civilians sat in their houses late at night listening to the radio as they ate their lives away, Jorgen had other ideas. He silently trotted along the wet footpath, hoping to not make a sound as his intended destination was the meeting place that the hit squad, or whatever this was, had organized to meet at. In Jorgen's mind, the others were only looking to make a quick buck for their efforts, but with all the opportunities that this situation had to further move him up the ranks in this honoured society, he was happy to accept the crime invite. His luck seemed to be in his favour. Another shift in his step led him to the familiar alleyway that would hopefully soon cut his walk short. It wasn't until a few minutes later that Jorgen noticed a young man sitting on a bench whose head hung. He seemed to be sleeping. The corners of Jorgen's mouth quirked up as he approached him in a careful manner. "The man of the hour decides to take a nap. I don't think that's appropriate at this time, you agree?" Jorgen joked, before patting him a bit too harshly on the shoulder as a warm welcome for the invite. Jorgen watched him with his eyes and noticed the slight annoyance in Castielle's posture. So maybe even though Jorgen hadn't been so late as the others, Castielle was still displeased by the fact that not everyone was sticking to their plan of coming early. Jorgen sighed as he sat down beside the man, crossing his arms. "Don't get upset. These things happen. They will come either way, and even if they do end up coming later than what was originally planned, we can change the plan around. No biggie. Hang in there mate." He felt like he wasn't really good with giving advice of comfort, but thought this was the least he could offer. However, he hesitated in saying it because he remembered the last time he planned an organized crime, two different parties joined the event, which turned into a complete disaster. It was funny to Jorgen knowing that he was working with one of them. |

TwoB sighed softly as she sneaked a glance at the woman walking next to her, whose presence seemed to be silent as they both looked out into the unknown. There was a silent agreement between them about the execution that was planned, and TwoB could not deny the anxiety that had finally caught up to her following this moment. It was supposed to be a group initiative, but TwoB wasn't sure if she could go through with it. Though she had taken many visits to the shooting range already, she felt outnumbered with the competition. A weird thought to think because who looked for competition in their own crew? She looked over at Vela with her full attention now as she quickened her pace to catch up to her. "Must I tell you again, I think I need to back out. I feel like I won't be that much help to you guys." She muttered in embarrassment as her face flushed in remembrance to what happened last time she got involved in a group scandal like this. Jorgen seemed to hit a nerve in her, as she was suddenly annoyed at the remarks he made about her lack of ability to use a gun. It was a big deal for her, as she grew up in an environment where weapons such as these weren't really being used, or in favour for that matter. After thinking for far too long on the subject, she shook her head and heard what Vela had to say. "What the hell do you mean TwoB? He was just joking. Don't get your panties twisted, dear. It's okay, everyone's gotta start somewhere don't they?" Each word Vela spoke grew more with annoyance, and TwoB nodded as she started to catch the hint. Maybe she needed to loosen up a little. The crackle of thunder suddenly resounded in the skies above making TwoB gasp and Vela duck her head. They both started running as their heart beats quickened. It must have been a sign that they were walking too slow, and just needed a little extra push to get them to their destination. Once TwoB finally arrived with Vela, she could see the stern looks on everyone's faces. |

It wasn't until Vela mentioned something about the plan that the silence broke. With TwoB by her side, she stood in front of Castielle, Dilldough and NiceJorgen. Everyone paid attention to her full lips as she spoke in a rushed manner. "We heard the summoning, or the thunder rather. Sorry, we came so late." Her eyes twinkled playfully. "Now are we ready to catch some bodies? I mean," Vela coughed, "A body?" This time her lips curled up as she tried to lighten up the mood. Everyone seemed to be uptight lately, but maybe that was because everyone was thinking of the same thing. The chance of success was pretty small now, because it was really starting to rain like a bitch now. She ran her hands through her soft, black hair and let out an irritated sigh. Looking at the dark skies above her, now weeping with heavy droplets of water, she announced her concern to the group. "Um... perhaps another day we could kill him? We are supposed to be dry, not wet." Vela sighed and looked about. Vela noticed Castielle sink deeper into his chair. Maybe he was thinking the same too, she thought to herself. As awkward as it was, everyone turned to Castielle to get his opinion. He was the one who organized this after all. Nobody really cared for whoever that mob boss was. He was the only one who held a grudge against him. Maybe the group needed an explanation. Vela's eyes were hard as she stared down at Castielle. She put on a look of genuine concern and patted him on the shoulder. "You seem to be getting yourself worked up for nothing. I haven't heard of his name ever until you mentioned him to us, so he can't be as important as you say. Is there something you're not telling us?" Vela voiced her question, earning herself an agitated look from Castielle. His look was deadly. Like he was going to explode any minute now. She tried to calculate how long it would take for her to run away from him before being tackled to the ground. Vela sometimes hated how he never realized how scary he looked sometimes. She could even feel TwoB beside her shiver. |

"Hm?" Castielle snapped out of his thoughts as he realised Vela was talking to him. There was a tone of anger in his voice, though he didn't mean to make it so clear, not direct it at Vela. The whole time he had been stuck thinking about that notorious mob boss, and thinking how please he would be if he were to put him six feet under, but a man can dream right? He dusted off his jeans and rose from the bench. As he looked to the group and noticed everyone's look of concern about postponing the plan, Castielle sighed and shook his head. His eager ear could hear the sincerity that Vela expressed, but his words stung like a snake bite. "I'm not fucking hiding anything. I just-.." Castielle gritted his teeth and accepted the fact of the matter. Rain was tumbling down hard from the sky, and everyone moved closer to the shady area. The rain was taken with a grunt, and Castielle eventually agreed to postpone the killing to another day, or maybe next week. He head that heavy rainfall would be expected for the rest of this week, from the news on the radio this morning. "I'm sorry. Maybe I wasn't meant for this life." His sorrowful words lingered in the air. Dilldough stared up at him and shrugged. "Don't put yourself down like that mate. Not everyone's perfect." Dilldough despised the heavy moods that the rain brought. As if the rain reflected their current state. Gloomy. The heavy moods seemed to be unavoidable given their current circumstance. Castielle scratched the back of his head as he began to think about the execution of this particular mob boss. Did Castielle really voice the right reasons? Or was he playing the fool? Did he have a choice in whether to postpone it or not? Of course he did, but killing him just out of pure jealousy wasn't everything. Castielle wanted to be truthful to the other members, but knew that if he was honest about WHY he really wanted to kill him, he expected a fight to break out. Simply because this whole plan of execution thing is pointless. Well to Castielle it was. |

The hope that he was holding onto seemed to be short lived as he heard what Vela had to say. She was right anyway. Castielle seemed really upset, but no one could control the weather. They would have to do this another day, when the rain wouldn't be pouring so heavily. Dilldough couldn't help but feel disappointed that he wasn't able to showcase his lock picking techniques. It was just bad timing when this was planned. Everyone knew it was going to rain today, but for some reason no one bothered to warn Castielle. They all just went along with the plan. There was something wrong here. Terribly wrong. Well, could anyone blame each other? For Dilldough, meeting up with NiceJorgen, TwoB and Vela was no hassle- because they all knew each other from being in the same crew and friend group. But since Castielle was a friend that only Vela knew, there seemed to be a barrier. Miscommunication perhaps? Doubtful loyalty? With a slight noise of Jorgen shuffling around as he stood up, it brought Dilldough from his thoughts as his eyes landed on his figure. "I'm going home with Jorgen then. Look, Castielle, I know you wanted this plan to succeed badly, but nobody can ever plan the perfect crime. Something always gotta pop up, but you know what- the perfect criminal will find a way around this. Postponing doesn't mean cancelling it. There is a right time to attack." He muttered. How anyone could declare that the perfect execution of crime exists. It is not particularly something one should be proud about, but to each their own. As he walked away from the group and waved goodbye, he caught up to Jorgen who was already walking ahead of him. Everyone was greedy for the prize, but sometimes patience was key. Dilldough didn't say another word that night, but as he looked at Jorgen when they both were on their way home, a soft smile made its way on his face. He couldn't deny the that even though the crime may have been an epic failure, at least no one got hurt. That would have been very unfortunate... |

Jorgen watched carefully as the group disassembled themselves. He walked with Dilldough, and didn't say a word as he sensed that the both of them were in their own world. There was a silence that filled the air on the way home. He didn't really know what else to say, since he felt like everything was already said though he was slightly disappointed that the plan didn't turn out as expected. The rain started to die down a little now and he saw Dilldough heading up to front porch before he voiced a faint goodbye. "See you tomorrow at work, buddy." With that, the conversation finally ended and Jorgen proceeded down the footpath, his house not too far from Dilldough's since they lived in the same neighbourhood. As the droplets of rain started to lessen, Jorgen felt his mood go up a little more. He came home to a messy house. Grunting as he shook his shoes off, Jorgen then made his way to the kitchen and ate a leftover of the pizza he brought yesterday. He bit into the slice of pepperoni pizza aggressively, and reflected on the day's events. So work was going pretty smooth and he would further await instructions from Castielle on their next moves. These days he lived alone and often wondered what it would be like to indulge in a romantic relationship. It was a subject that was almost taboo for him, because he was so focused on bettering himself. Not that getting into one would be shameful, but he knew that if that was to ever happen- he'd start slacking for sure. He swallowed the last bit of the pizza, before going over to the sink and washing up. All of a sudden, he heard a knock on the door. Before going over to see what it was all about, Jorgen placed his coat on the hanger by the front door. Opening the entrance to his house, he was met with two lovely ladies. Who else would it be other than TwoB and Vela? Smirking, he posed a question. "Thought you guys were heading home. What's up?" In his mind he wanted to invite them both in, but first he wanted to know why they stopped at his place. |

TwoB was silenced in the car by an intrusive thought. It was getting late now, and all she wanted was the comfort of her own home, but home was thirty minutes away. It was now probably way past midnight. She noticed Vela rubbing her eyes in a sleepy manner which caused TwoB to yawn. "Hey, how about we go to Jorgen's house and snooze there for the night? I've only been there once, but I know his house well enough now that I remember he had like a couple of guest rooms. Um what do you think?" TwoB suggested that maybe Vela was feeling tired as her, and might as well accept the offer. There were no words spoken, but Vela just simply nodded. So they both proceeded along the footpath until TwoB stopped in her tracks to announce that they finally reached his house. They both let out a sigh and did a couple knocks on the door. Out came NiceJorgen, and he seemed to be in a state of confusion as he asked them both what they were doing at his house. TwoB cleared her throat, taking a glance at Vela's sleepy self and spoke up. She battered her eyelashes playfully and pouted. "Ermmmm, please Jorgen let us stay the night. We're so sleepy." TwoB let out a little giggle. Whenever she would feel herself dozing off, she would catch herself in a giggly mood. Her attention shifted to the warm couch just behind Jorgen's manly figure. There were soft pillows placed neatly, though TwoB saw that there was a huge difference between the cleanliness of the couch and the dirty pairs of socks on the floor. She scrunched her nose in a subtle manner as she inspected Jorgen's place. "With all that money you're probably hiding, I thought you'd be able to get yourself a maid." She joked, lightly stepping over the clothes that were sprawled on the floor. She suddenly took up a spot on the couch, feeling herself drift off to sleep. Just before she fell into her deep sleep, Vela came over to her and whispered playfully in her ear. "Last one to wake up gets pranked in the morning!" Ah. Great. |

Her smile started to grow as she saw NiceJorgen at the door. His aggressive body language that she saw at the place they all met up was different to how he was acting now. "Yeah. Uh.. Please. I swear we'll be gone early in the morning. Just for tonight?" Vela played along, as she tried to suppress the yawns from her mouth. He gave her a suspicious look, before making way for them and shrugging it off. He gestured to the couch that could be soon from the entrance of the long hallway. "Eh, just take the couch if you're too tired to look for the guest room." He agreed. It would be rude anyway to decline their presence. TwoB was family, and any friend of TwoB's was also his friend. Well... debatable, but he had a good feeling about Vela somehow just from the way she composed herself. They seemed to have their differences, but he liked that she could switch from incognito to crazy bitch mode. Before she went off to the guest room, she caught up to TwoB who was already laying down on the comfortable couch. She would prank her in the morning, knowing that Vela was an early bird and was used to waking up before the crack of dawn. Vela's gaze now fell on Jorgen, who seemed to be making a ruckus in the kitchen. She wasn't sleepy anymore, and she approached him, tapping him on the shoulder. She let out as a gasp as she looked to what he was holding. "What the hell Jorgen, your hand?! What are you doing!" It appeared that he was trying to cook up a nice dinner for the girls, but Vela couldn't help but laugh in a wholesome manner. She quickly asked him where he kept his first aid kit. Jorgen quickly pointed to the cabinet behind her while he winced slightly. The knife was on the cutting board, and there was a little blood left on it because of the open cut on his finger. She came back with a couple of band-aids and placed them on over each other to keep the blood in, hoping that it would dry up soon. SC "Let me cut the onion. Geez. And I can't tell if you're crying because of the pain or if it's the onion's fault." Vela pursed her lips, shaking her head as she assessed the scene. One hell of a night this was. |

Castielle fell silent as he watched everyone walk away, leaving him to be seated alone at the bench. He gave a special hug to Vela, someone he had known for quite a while now, and couldn't deny he was closer to her than the other members. He also had his eye on TwoB as he was suddenly intrigued by her. He started to feel slightly bad when he realized that he hadn't said anything to her last time they saw each other. He promised to himself that he would ask her out for lunch maybe next time, but right now all he could focus on was the thought of going back home and drifting off to sleep. Tomorrow he would have to figure out how to reorganize everything. From changing the location of their meeting place, in case anyone was following them, to figuring out the boss' schedule. It changed everyday. It wasn't like a routine. Castielle sighed, looking over the trees that stood tall across him. The wind seemed to speak to him as it moved in a rapid speed. Yawning, he stood up and finally started heading back to the headquarters and putting back the blueprints on his desk. It would be unsafe for him to leave them at home, because his home could be raided anytime by the feds, if that time ever came. And if that happened, he'd not only put himself in deep shit but everyone else involved in the plan too. Though he just met the four other people, he sensed that they'd be working together more in the future, and he didn't mind that. It would definitely take a lot of time for them all to establish a trust bond, but from the pace that they were taking, everyone seemed to be in tune with each other. Castielle reached for the keys in his pockets, before turning it into the lock. He stepped inside his humble abode, and was relieved to be home- even though what he planned for the day took a turn. Heroes in the making? Debatable. A team that has so much potential to move up the ranks? More than likely. Sometimes you have to get through the rain before you get to see the rainbow. |
