Lordian took everything in. She was clearly oblivious to the courtship he had performed up until then, that much was obvious by her expression. It took her a moment to gather herself, which gave Lordian all the answer he needed before she even spoke. He let her words wash over him as if they had no meaning. He saw all he needed to. After she finished he nodded once and extended an open hand.

"To a healthy business partnership then. I would toast, but we've emptied the bottle, and it's probably not wise for you to be seen leaving the apartment of a single man drunk unless you want people talking."

He smiled at her. It would set people talking, and had this night gone any differently, he wouldn't have minded. He would have set them straight if he heard any of it. But seeing as she wanted nothing to do with him romantically, it was never going to be his place to defend her honor, that would be someone else's pleasure.

"I'll stop by the coffee shop in a few days to see how things are going. Would you like to take any dinner home with you? You barely ate anything here at all, it's the least I could do."

Marta smiled as he stood up with an opened hand, she was glad she hadn't ruined a good friendship by the words she has just said. She walked over to him and shook his hand before placing it back down to her side. 

"Oh I'm not worried about what people talk about, let them talk. If there was more wine I'd definitely drink it with you." She said with a smile. 

"Though I probably should get going, I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow. I have to get in contact with that realtor early in the morning before I fly back to Detroit then hopefully by the time I get there I will some places to look at. I'll be back in Chicago in a couple days and I'll make sure to bring you back a couple of options I have narrowed it down in regards to places. If anything comes up between now and then just phone me over at the Luciano estate."

Marta walked over to where she left her bag and picked it up off the table, placing it around her shoulder. 

"I'd love to take some with me but I leave early in the morning, I'd never get a chance to eat it but thank you very much. Also thank you for the evening and I'm sorry for it not being what you were expecting."

She paused for a moment before continuing. 

"Anyways though, I'm looking forward to getting this business adventure off the ground."
