Moje has had one more day of hard work. He's standing still a while, catching his breath. He lost the police as intended. As he sat down on a bench, he was thinking about what he was actually doing. What was he fighting for, and why? Obviously, he told himself, I'm fighting for my family. Why? Because I respect it, and want to do what's best to it. But.. That is not all there is to it, is it? While working as hard as I can, isn't there some sort of wish, that I will be promoted? That it will do me "good" in the book of my boss. Don't I intend to try to become friendly with those in power, before I socialize with the others? Of course i do. I will not be kidding myself and say that rank/status/honour won't matter. That respect, and the fact that I feel like staying with this family forever, and never intend to leave it (not even if promotet massivly, and offered several bodyguards), isn't going to take away that greedy feeling, which make me want to be in the top, with power. As he thought this to himself, he found that he wasn't on the bench anymore, and that he, while being completely in his own thoughts, had walked to the big corner, where announcements are usually made. He thought that this must have been a sign, or something similar. He needed to speak out his mind. Raising his voice, being sure that as many people possible could hear him, he startet to speak I think this world to have one major goal. It is reaching the top. But what do you thing about the way things are now? Do you think that it is people who deserve it, which get to go to the top? Is it people who work hard? As it is (after the rank of Earner), the ranking is controlled by us people. As I haven't been in this world for long, I have seen nothing wrong with how that's working out, but is it as it should be? Should the the Gods have more influence, as they see how things are going on, from a neutral pespective? I would also like to know, if theres anything else, you could think about, which you claim to be wrong. Is the world to easy or hard on us? Should our relationship with those in power count less? I think not. I hope to see some interresting answers, and also, I would love an debate going on about this. I hope I've made my own point of view clear, and if not... I believe the way things are to be working fine as it is. That Gods don't interfere much, makes this world special to live in, and unique, compared to others. And as for what I've seen, people with high ranking, are mostly those with great experience, and knowledge Moje stands still, waiting for someone to reply. - Moje |

Belle finishes reading the flier that Moje had posted This community is motivated by our peers and is dependant upon the interactions we have with one another. The connections we make with people daily, and the business trips we take mold who we are in this world. In a world full of theivery and deceit, i'd like to believe that many of us still live by the code of respect and honor. Your word is all you have, and if you tarnish that, you've got nothing left. I don't think everyone in this life is after the same goal of making it to the top. I know plenty of people, who are just as happy serving their family and interacting with others. |

I agree with you Belle. Either way, when you say some people hasn't got the goal of going to the top, I'll have to say something. Yes it's true that it isn't anyone who has the ambitions, but is it not true that no matter who you are, you would feel happy about ranking up? So, should those being just happy about it, or those really working for it, have the same chance? If some seeks the top with higher potential, but don't get along well with those in power, should they have some kind of advantage anyways? Just putting things in perspective, my point of view, is still the same as the first post. - Moje |

Moje, I like to think that those that work the hardest and continually strive to better themselves, this community, and their families will be the ones that are noticed and generally entrusted with a family of their own. This is not always the case, though. Unfortunately, many people ride the coattails of their ancestors and are successful simply because their great-great-grandfather once was did something. This same concept can also be applied to ranking in general. Those that work hard will be promoted whereas some are promoted because of their ancestry. I don't agree with the latter, but it does happen. Belle, I agree completely with what you've said. The way that ranking is now--that is, that you have to be promoted by your crew leader and are not automatically given the rank by the gods--is an important part of our lives. |

Very well Johnny, seems like we all agree so far. On top up that, I've also gained some knowledge. Do you think anything should be done, to stop the strength of a blood-line? I have no parents, and I was raised by the people whom I met in my life, so I think I will feel sorry, if someone doing less efford than me, gains more than me. But when that is said, I think that's the price we must pay. It gives less interference from the gods, which, as you and Belle says, is a good thing. - Moje |
