Picking one person from history is terribly hard. Although, I feel most of the ones I think of would honestly be boring company.  

If I narrrow it down to present day I keep going comedian. Listening to Doug Stanhope drunkenly rant about whatever wrong has caught his attention for the moment would be captivating. If he is in the mood to tell stories and be goofy, then that is even better.

Theodore Roosevelt. His life story has always been so fascinating to me. Alexander the Great would be another or Cleopatra or Marie Antoinette.
