| Wanna be famous? | Started by: Isabella-Luciano on Aug 13, '18 14:07 |

These days it seems like folks want to be famous a great deal. Whether as reality stars on TV, youtube/stream celebrities, or what have you. So, my question for today is: Would you like to be famous one day? Why or why not? And, in what way would you like to be famous if you could be (ie: what would you be famous for?) Me personally I think it would be okay to be a BIT famous but there is too much of a good thing. I wouldn't want to lose my privacy utterly. So being a well-read author (able to pay my bills without worries) that would be just the right amount of fame/wealth for me. :) |

Maybe a year or two ago I would of most definitely said yes, but I think since then my opinion has changed and I love the anonymity. I think being famous is a double edged sword because most of your life will be based around being famous instead of based around living. |

I have to say no. With the goals I want to achieve in life, I think it would just get in the way being known by many people. If posthumously I am well known, then that would work. For what? Not sure. Hopefully not for a sex tape, though. |

I think that someday I'd love to be famous for whatever I profess in. I think that fame is the biggest indication of success and I of course want to be successful. I personally will know when I am successful as far as my expectations go, as far as wealth, living standards, and my ability to care for my family, but fame is the next step for success in any scenario past your expectations. TLDR: Yes, fame=success |

| Eh. Either way really! Sometimes I think it would be kind of fun, but it's not something I'm putting anything into to get there! | |

Might be nice - for a little bit - but being too well known by many can be more problem than it's worth from what I've seen. |

When I first decided to start pursuing film as a career, the intention was that if I ever became successful as a Director, I'd use whatever money after taking care of my own welfare and the welfare of my future family to invest into people. So yes, I'd love to be famous. With fame comes money, with money comes the ability to invest back into others to help them realize their own dreams. |

I couldn't think of anything worse. If I could take the money associated without people actually knowing who I am then that would be ace. I'm heartless enough to use any begging letters as fuel for my fire... |

I think I'd enjoy some measure of fame, but I would most likely want to gain it in something on the lines of voice acting. I've always enjoyed vocal tricks and learning and using accents and have been fortunate to use the skill in the theatre as well as various role-playing games. It would be a fun field of work and one where a person can build fame without their face necessarily being widely known enough to get recognized frequently. It gives the best of both worlds. |

Being famous means being into the money which isn't bad. I like my privacy and being famous is the invasion of your privacy. |

Got to agree with a few here, I wouldn't want to be famous. Sure maybe set for life in terms of financial security, but at a cost of losing privacy. I like my own space too much! |
