Rosaleen was in the office preparing papers to meet with GavinAndTaraByrne. The situation with Stella_DiVasio had to be resolved. Handling the Feds would take some time but she could handle the Cartlio family. She went through her file cabinet pulling out all the information she obtained on the Carlito family. Her jobs were well organized. Things that disappeared from public slight were heavily documents in her files. She had followed in her father shadows and learned well. She started to reminisce about her very first job that started her reputation of being a clearner/fixer which happened quite by accident. She remembers the incidence like it was yesterday. She received a frantic call from Mick a very good family member. A job had gone terribly wrong. She thought what a coincidence the Carlito brothers were engross in that mess. She had a few successful dealings with their father but was her first time having any dealings with them. Mick couldn’t reach his people and knew Rosaleen would definitely help him out. Mick thought the drug deal was going smoothly, but if got fucked up really fast. Not only weren’t the deaths necessary, it resulted in the death of an undercover agent. The Carlito brothers fired the first shots and fled the scene. She was attending a birthday party for one of her friends. She gathered some trusted people together who had worked for her father, told them the situation and asked for help. They were ready and willing to help her and organinizing a plan was very easy. Making her way to the warehouse where the shit went down, destroying and removing incriminating evidence at the scene and handling the disposing of the corpses went like clock work. Don Joseph_Ligambi was extremely pleased of how she handled the situation, calling on her to handled other jobs. As her reputation grew as one of the best she kept her operation small. She was contacted by people on the outside, but was very particular about who and what she would take on and family always came first. She didn’t hesitate to decline jobs that didn’t feel right. Although never asking for payment for family matters Don Ligambi paid her well and those on the outside paid dearly. She had the normal backgr ound records for the Carlito family containing aggravated assaults, burglaries, property crimes and drug related crimes, but knew those weren’t strong enough to neutralize anything. . However she did have information about their involvement with the Dragna family illegal liquor distillation operations that so conveniently landed in the hands of the Feds, Ardizzone's mysterious disappearance and death, Plus she had information how the Carlito’s were actually the ones trying to muscle in on the fight earnings of Jack Sharkey. People would really be interested to know of their involvement. If old man Johnny Carlito had any inkling that information would leaked out he would have fear for his life. . She just wondered if it would be enough to make him convince his sons to be reasonable. They are uncontrollable and have caused their father a lot of grief. Would their father’s life on the line make a difference to them? She neatly separated the file and placed them on a smaller desk. When the meeting is setup she would be ready to present what she had to Gavin and figure out a course of action. |

Gavin took off his sunglasses as he got out of the cab and approached Rosaleen's office. Stella had been gone for a month or two already, and when Rosaleen had reached out about making sure the Carlito family wasn't a threat anymore... well, Gavin was interested in helping. After checking out the building, Gavin strolled into Rosaleen's office after passing the appropriate security. "Rosaleen. Good to see you. What's the plan?" With a small smile, he dropped into the seat out the other side of her desk. |

As @PH>GavinAndTaraByrne took a seat Rosaleen stood up and gathered a few files from the desk where she had laid them out. She passed them to Gavin. These are the files I have on the Carlito family. She asked him if he would care for a Brandy and he said he certainly could use one. Gavin started looking through the files and Rosaleen poured him a glass of Brandy and for herself, she poured seltzer water over some ice with lemon. Bentley did his usual knock on the door and she told him to come in and have a seat. She asked him if he cared for anything to drink and he said he was good. She handed Garvin his drink and sat down. What I am hoping is that we set up a meeting with Johnny Carlito the father, use some of the incriminating evidence in these files to get some leverage with him. Maybe his life on the line will make his sons be reasonable and laid off Stella. His son Sammy was bad blood. He knows it and so does a lot of other people. Quite a few people wanted him dead. It's not going to be easy because the sons are out of control, blood hungry and don't give a fuck. The man is old and I really don't enjoy putting this type of pressure on him but heis sons are messing with family. Here's a scenario. I don't know all that transpired that night. Through the mayhem and all the bullets being fired, maybe he just got caught in the crossfire and it wasn't Stella's bullet at all that took him out. |

Gavin tried to get things straight in his head. "So Johnny Carlito is the father. How many other sons does he have? Not counting Sammy, of course." Gavin tilted his head as she gave her scenario. "I... well, it was definitely Stella's bullet. I'd plan on a more permanent solution. If you can get the Carlitos to meet you somewhere with a good view, I wouldn't mind 'solving' this with a rifle. You plan to meet him, see if you can talk him- and his sons- out of vengeance. If it works, great. If not, you give me the signal. I open up from range. Meanwhile, you and your pal can finish them up close if needed." He shrugged. "Just my two cents. Willing to go with another plan if you've got one." |

Rosaleen sat at the desk and collected her thoughts. Well, there's Johnny Carlito whose the father. Vincent is the oldest son. Sammy was next and Sal is the youngest. Vincent is the shortest and has what I consider the short man's complex - has to have the loudest mouth. Sal is just a follower. He just does what Vincent tells him to do. Since the time they ran out on Mick, I've disliked all of them but have had a good rapport with Johnny. Knowing Garvin profession as an Enforcer she could understand his willingness to just alleviate the problem completely. Johnny is old and frail. I would really hate to see him suffer the loss and have to bury his other sons. She turned to Bentley. You know Johnny pretty well. Give him a call and see if he would be willing to meet with us to discuss the things that have transpired. Sure thing me lady. Bentley picked up the file on Johnny Carlito, looked up his telephone number went to the phone and dialed it. Sir Johnny Carlito please he said. Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. My condolences to you and the family. Rosaleen could tell something was wrong. Oh, I see I am very sorry to have disturbed you, he hung up the phone. Johnny passed away last night. He had a heart attack exactly one week after Sammy's funeral. Sir Johnny's funeral will be this coming Thursday. Damn, Rosaleen said as she turns her attention back to Gavin. This sure changes things on my end. Surely now we will have to deal with the sons. I know for sure if we take Vincent out we will have no problems with the less aggressive Sal. There will be no negotiations with Vincent he is not to be trusted. Sal will just lay back and enjoy his father estate. I think we should go in that direction Gavin. |

Another thought came to Rosaleen's mind. On the other hand, Gavin Johnny's death might work to our advantage. My job is to end this thing peacefully. We know that @Stella_DiVasio killed Sammy, he was her target, but they don't. The sons are going to be so obsessed with taking over their father's empire they might be reasonable. The story we know is that the cobs were following Sammy. They found him in a very compromising position and used it to their advantage. They crashed into the room, Sammy being the hotheaded person he was tried to fire on them. They killed him and arrested Stella for being in cahoots with him. They took her down to the station to find out what else she might know. So she did not kill Sammy. If that doesn't fly with Vincent then we take him out. How do you feel about that? |

"Sounds like a plan. Just tell me where and when the meeting is. How would you want us to be positioned? Want me sniping? Or down on the the ground with you? I'm pretty good either way." He winked. |

The next day Rosaleen had set up a meeting and called Gavin. Hey, Gavin, I set up the meeting for this afternoon. It's going to take place right after the services for Johnny Carlito which start at 3 pm. Give the church service an hour or so and they will make their way to the cemetery. There's a small chapel with an office inside right next to the cemetery, we will meet there. Have your men in suits as if they are attending the service and they can case out the chapel. There should only be 4 men entering the chapel. Vincent, Sal and two more. If there are more let we will know what we are dealing with. We got about 5 hours to get it all together. You and I will attend the services, giving our condolences to the son. I will meet you there. Rosaleen was amazed seeing so many people attending the funeral. She thought it was an ideal situation for Gavin's men. After the service when leaving the church the heel of her shoe got caught up in a board making it lose and harder to walk on it. They stood a distance from the family but at the end of the graveside service, they saw Vincent, Sal and two other men head for the chapel. Gavin double checked to make sure his men were in place and we followed the brothers into the chapel office. Surprisingly the meeting went rather well. It seemed that they thought to seek revenge on someone falsely accused of killing was wrong. We got their word that they would let it go and not ever bother Stella. We assured them that nothing good would come of this if they pursued any type of revenge. It seemed they understood. Again we said our condolence and left the office. Right outside the closed door, I lost my balance because of the weak heel on my shoe. Gavin caught me just before I hit the floor. As he was helping me up we heard them talking through the door. We heard Vincent say Fuck them. I don't care if the bitch didn't kill Sammy. She fucking set him up. She is a dead bitch. As Gavin helped me steady myself I said to him. I guess you take it from here. |

Gavin just smiled as he helped Rosaleen steady herself. Winking, he removed his M1911 from his shoulder holster and started to creep back toward the chapel. As he approached the door an old floorboard creaked- and he froze as conversation ceased on the other side. Were those... footsteps walking away? Without much thought, Gavin started running and slid through door, shooting as he went. His men followed him- although two dropped in a hail of returned fire. Transitioning into a roll, he took cover behind a pillar and checked the situation as he reloaded. One bad guy down.... two left? Where was the other? Leaning around the pillar, he expertly took down a second man, although he had to duck back as gunfire exploded the stone closest to him. Removing the knife from his calf, he waited several seconds, then tossed it to the side. As he thought, the distraction worked- just after the knife hit the ground, he leaned around the corner and shot the last man. Quickly reloading, Gavin checked the hallway leading to the other exit- no one. Shit. "Rosaleen!" As the woman entered, Gavin looked at her quickly. "One got away. Looks like I took out the two bodyguards... and Sal. Vincent's still alive." Cursing, he looked again toward the exit. "Your guy who had the contact? Can he get rival families to move in on the Carlitos? If some other crews knew how vulnerable they were, they could divide up the organization between themselves... take away almost all of Vincent's power and earning capabilities. He'll still be out there, but he'll be a lot less dangerous. Is this something you can make happen?" |

Rosaleen was relieved to see that Gavin was alright. Let's just get the hell out of here. We saw Vincent fleeing and have several men following him. We will know his whereabouts. Bentley's crew are here and already cleaning up the place. Bentley also secure us a discrete table at the Repass where we can sneak in unnoticed. When everyone gets the news about what happened we will as shocked as everyone else. Then we will go back to the office and regroup. Vincent can run but can't hide. We made our way back the to the church's fellowship hall. We slowly entered through a side door and sat at the table Bentley had set up. People were so preoccupied they didn't even realize we weren't there the entire time. Bentley told me everything was clean, all of Gavin's casings from his M1911 had been recovered, disposing of the bodies wasn't necessary. Just as we thought the word hit. We played it off as being shocked as everyone else. We made the right people know of our presence and they had no reason to believe we weren't there the entire time. If Vincent was to implicate us he would be known as the liar he was to many. |

Gavin nodded as he followed Rosaleen back to the hall. Setting up the alibi didn't seem to be an issue; Rosaleen and her associates were damn good. Later, at the end of the evening, Gavin paced as he spoke to Rosaleen. "Do you think your people can get the word out to the rivals of the Carlitos to take apart their organization? If we can wipe out the system, most of the threat would be gone... we'd just have to deal with Vincent, operating on his own." He sighed. "What would you do if you were Vincent, and you lose everything you have...?" Gavin frowned. "Do you think he'd try to go after Stella herself? Use everything he has left to track her down and get his revenge?" |

Rosaleen looked at Gavin with a wicked smile. Vincent is already considered an outcast within the organization. We planted a well-grounded seed. The man can't be trusted. He fled and left his brother to die at his own father's funeral. We created so much drama with that, how it made no sense other than the fact he was nothing but chicken shit. He could have come back to the church and inform the others but he chooses to run and hide. His only recourse will be to find Stella and get revenge. He will feel that is the only thing that will help him regain some clout. Stella's girls will be the target for information and I have no doubt her whereabouts will be revealed. We will know the minute he makes a plane reservation. He isn't going to wait long to seek his glory. I am planning a trip to Sicily for some important business for Uncle Joe. Don't know how much work that will involve or how much assistance I will be able to provide. My father is there and has very good connections so I can hook you up with his men. I think maybe you need a vacation. |

Rosaleen walks over to Gavin and gave him a hug. My men have keep tabs on Vincent and we know some of the girls at the massage parlor have already been roughed up a little. We have no doubt that Vincent knows Stella's whereabluts and will head there. We will know the exact moment he lands in Sicily. I think you need to prepare to go as soon as possible. It's only a matter of time before we take Vincent out. I have sent some information, Vincent's picture to my father and he's will put the word out there's a contract out on him. If someone gets him before we do problem bit the dust. I want you to know it's been a pleasure working with you. I love your take no shit, aggressive, get the job done attittude. I know how much you care about Stella and what you will do for her to keep her safe and I thank you for that. After this is all over I am hoping to be able to call on you with other jobs I might need help with. So take care of yourself, have a safe trip and will be in touch. |
