There is always Joy Started by: Coltrane on Aug 20, '18 13:14

Knock knock knock

”Not right now!” yelled Colt. He just stayed in his bed, lying down. He didn’t have the energy nor the will to move after what had happened. He couldn’t believe it, his precious Joy. And he just slept right through it.

Knock knock knock

Colt grumbled under his breath and finally stood up and opened the door to his wagon. It was his trusted bodyguard, Chu. The man walked in the wagon, closed the door and shook Colt left and right.

“What are you doing bossman? You think laying around here, not doing anything will change something? Fuck no it won’t. She would’ve wanted you to work hard and keep on building what you both built together. So get the fuck up and get to work.”

That shook Colt. Chu was right. That’s not what his princess would’ve wanted. He stood up and started to get changed. He had work to do.

Roseleen learned of the deep grief Don Coltrane was experiencing and decided to sent him a telegram.

Dear Don Coltrane,

I feel your pain. The loss of a loved one is life's most stressful event and can cause a major emotional crisis.
I didn’t know Godmother Joy but heard so many good things about her,. Don Joseph_Ligambi  spoke so highly of her. I attented her funeral just to be in the mist of the people who were so honored to have known her.

I have traveled to Seattle a number of times with the intentions of going to her night spot, but never made it.  What a missed opportunity to have had the chance to meet her.  So many time we think about what we should have done.

Accept that life is for the living. It takes effort to begin to live again in the present and not dwell on the past.

My condolences to you and the fine city of Seattle. So many  join all of you in your sorrow.

I wish you peace and healing.

Sincerely,
Rosaleen
