I found myself in the streets of South Side, Chicago. There must have been a mistake, or a wrongly made assumption, because a man stopped my friend and I from walking past him. He was a random guy- someone we couldn't recognize, yet his malicious eyes on me made me think he knew me from somewhere. I tried so very hard to figure out who could this man be, but he said nothing. He suddenly gripped my elbow. I gasped, as I was completely surprised at the sudden move made. I turned to my friend, whose smooth bottom I could always appreciate, and silently gestured to a solid rock that was resting in the corner of the sidewalk. It was big enough to throw at the man that had grasped onto my arm, just enough to make a hard impact, and hopefully make him lose consciousness for a while. "W-w-what do you want from.. m-me?" The pauses of air inbetween my words were a symbol of defeat to the man, but I was just trying to make him think that I would let him do this to me. Give him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps. Just behind the man, I almost burst into a fit of laughter as not only did I see my friend coming back with the huge rock, but she seemed to grab a baseball bat on her way. "Luna, catch!" I widened my eyes as I suddenly see the bat being thrown in my direction. While my right arm was gripped by the man, who pulled my body closer to his, I used my free hand to reach out for the bat. "I-I'm sorry. I have to do this." The bat, which now was held securely in my left hand, made a loud THUMP noise against his skull. He stepped back and winced slightly at the rebellious gesture. I was a sentimental fool, and I wanted him to remember something. "S-s-sir, touch me again.. or even come a little bit close to my friends or family, you will learn to finally understand why storms are named after people." |

I would smile as she threw the baseball bat to her best-friend, admiring her tactic of fooling the man into thinking she was weaker than she actually was. Watching him get clanged on the head with the baseball bat as he stepped back. I grip a big rock and proceed to bash him on the head as he gazes into Luna with confusion, laughing as he falls to the ground as I give Luna a big smile seeing the man at our mercy. "You shouldn't have done that darling." I lean down to whisper to the man as I sit back up and give Luna a big hug, glad she isn't harmed. Turning around to give the perpetrator a few kicks to the head out of anger. "We can't even walk down the streets anymore without creeps coming after us!" |

"We can't even walk down the streets anymore without creeps coming after us!" "Naw, don't worry your pretty little head, niamh-bean. I got your back!" I hate to forgive and just forget, but I thought about it as I saw him struggle to get up. There was an apologetic look in his eyes, and I couldn't shake off the fact that maybe it all had been a mistake. He seemed to limp as he walked away quickly, only looking over his shoulder once to finally take one last look at the two girls he tried to frighten. For us, that was only scratching the surface. We knew that if we wanted to blow off some steam, we'd go to the fight club down the street. Home of the reckless, abused and forgotten. No one called it that, of course. It was my interpretation of what it was. I started going more often when I met the undeniably gorgeous, friendly and caring soul that stood beside me. This friendship was kind of unexpected, only because I don't think anyone would ever allow themselves to get caught being associated with me. If there was a party I was invited to, best believe there would be unwanted drama. I try to stay at home, or just lock myself in the family headquarters for safety. The only reason I went out today was because my female accomplice dragged me out, by my hair. She's a wild one. "Down for another fight sesh?" A playful smirk made its way on my face as I assessed her features. |

"Hell yeah, girlfriend!" I was very fond of Luna, she was sweet and feisty at the same time, it was great. Our growing friendship was turning out to be a well-spent one and it was great that I met the lovely Luna. Fight clubs weren't my thing before I met her, but I figured with my new job that involved a little of hands on skills, I should get fighting a little bit, so I am not so easy to take down. I knew Luna thought I was crazy when I started sticking around her, but I feel a close connection with her sweetness and I'll defend her until I die. Even though her best-friend Luna locked herself away, I always found myself dragging her out, because I've never had many girlfriends in my life, so it was fun when I got to explore the city and cause trouble with a friend. Sometimes, they'd rob drug dealers together and fight off howling men who tried to chase them for their looks, but Luna and I didn't tolerate any cat-calling bullshit, we took care of business. "I'm always down for a fight." I'd give Luna a smile as I noticed her checking me out, giving off a giggle as I blushed lightly. I didn't mind at all. |
