What the fuck. It happened again. Waking up to one of your leaders and friends gone. This time was different thought. He had chosen to go away, without leaving any warning. Emotions were fighting inside of him. On one side, he couldn’t believe his friend would leave him like this. And his whole family as well. It angered him quite a lot. But on the other side, he knew he was a good man, with good intentions and that the mafia life had probably been too much for him. And all the help he had given to him when they started to rebuild Seattle couldn’t be forgotten.
But enough with these dark thoughts. Life went on, and so did Seattle. They had to bounce back from Joy’s sad death, for more than a couple of days this time. Colt stood up, and got dressed with his usual beige pants and threw on a grey shirt. It was so early in the morning he didn’t really mind how he got dressed anyway, everybody was sleeping. He slipped into his flip flops, grabbed his saxophone and walked to the Pier. It was beautiful, the full moon reflected on the huge body of water and everything was calm and peaceful. He sat down, dipping his feet in the water and slowly took out his sax, and stared to play. He let his emotions guide his fingers and expressed his feelings through the golden instrument. It was his way of thinking, of taking the hard decision to pick Ballard’s next acting Godfather.
He stayed for hours and hours, playing his emotions away and emptying his head to make the clearest decision. He considered many possible options, weighing in the pros and cons of every situation. The sun woke up and the moon went to sleep, as he finally put his saxophone away. He had made a decision. He walked back to the HQ and dropped his instrument there, before heading to Ascenion’s HQ. He hoped he wouldn’t wake Tyki up, but he knew the man wouldn’t mind. He knocked loudly, five times. It was his signature knock. A bodyguard opened the door and immediatly recognized him, and let him in without asking any questions. He made his way up the stairs and managed to reach the top floor, out of breath. He knocked again, on Tyki’s office door, and at his big surprise, the door opened. His friend rubbed his eyes and looked at him with a suprized and puzzled look. It was pretty early.
Would you mind mind if I come in? he asked. We have to talk buisness. Tyki let him come and closed the door behind him. It seems that during the night, our dear friend and acting Godfather of Ballard, FioUccello, has decided to flee the country with his wife, leaving his family and the district all alone. He paused dramatically, before continuing with his speech. You have been amazing to me so far my friend, and you have not disappointed. Even the late and great Joy had full trust into your skills. I thought long and hard on this. I came to the conclusion that Seattle would benifit the most with having you move to Ballard and taking the role of acting Godfather, if you chose to accept it! |

It had been a busy few days for him with the recent renovations of his HQ, along with the time spent in mourning the loss of Joy. Awaking to news of Don's Fio and Chelsea Uccello departure for old Italy was sad to hear but they had done alot for Seattle and he wished them all the best in their retirement. As he sat down and opened his books, ready to review the figures and make a schedule of today's work that needed to be addressed, he heard some noise outside and stood up to go check. Opening the door, he was shocked to see Don Coltrane standing there but understood that in times of emergency, discussions needed to be held. As he listened to the Don reaffirm what he had heard, lowering his head a little, he was then surprised by the new words that reached him. Waiting for Coltrane to finish speaking, he then looked up and began to speak. "Since my arrival in the wonderful City of Seattle, I have seen a vast amount of work go into making the City flourish. The streets have been active with businesses opening up, new arrivals coming to Seattle to help the growth and learn, it's been a pleasure to be here. The last few days have been tough but that is a part of life and as a City, we must figure out the best path to continue to help promote the work which has gone into the City all this time. As to your question, I would consider it an honour to take the reigns in Ballard." He extended his hand to the Acting Godfather of Pioneer Square, shaking it. "I will do everything in my power to ensure that Seattle continues to be a success and I thank you for coming to see me today Coltrane. I am aware of the work required and I ensure that the District will be in good hands." As he began to walk with Coltrane through the entrance hall of his HQ, he looked around at all the members, busy going about their daily duties. "I will make the preparations now and we should be able to re-locate shortly. I have a company nearby that helped assist us recently so I will be able to use them again to make the process as swift and smooth as possible." |
