I like to stay top of things even when not directly engaging with the game. 

If the notification for a new worker played a sound like the timers, or a unique one, I'll know while I've got headphones in at work, while studying or in the kitchen that I've got a worker. 

If anything it's a more justifiable cause to be notified than the timers.

Solid idea. I see no downside to this at all, +1 for sure.

It's the same principal as the timers. Why be notified every 20 seconds, 3 minutes, 13 minutes?

This is something you can't predict, and while I want to be available 12 hours a day, I can't. It's the next best thing to a push notification. 

Ehhh. Lots of people only half pay attention to here, especially if they're with their kids, or at work, or on their phone.... Putting in a sound alert for this wouldn't even be that hard. In a perfect world, yes, everyone who is a Sponsor is paying attention to the Jobs Board anyway. Buuuut this is MR, not a Utopian paradise :\ 

(to expand on that, not everyone who is a Sponsor "took the initiative to do so" - it's not too uncommon for leaders to just set people as such.)

I totally second that idea. 

But yeah, I don't see a downside to this. Timers beep, notifications on lounge beep, why shouldn't this beep too?  

Think this sounds like a great idea, too. Think it needs a wider audience to voice opinion also so that the Gods can pick it up.

This gets a +1 from me too. I think its a great feature idea which I am hoping would be pretty simply to implement. Any expansion around recruitment is always good in my eyes.
