| Luna Goes Full Send | Started by: Luna on Sep 03, '18 04:36 |
"Ow!", a voice resounded in the air, as a young woman tripped over a small rock and fell miserably on her bottom on the forest floor. She tried to use her hands to reduce the pressure of the collision, but no luck. The woman let out a deep sigh as she stood up from her pitiful position on the floor, and checked herself for any injuries. Luckily she couldn't find any, and continued on her way with a relieved mindset. The woman who was currently walking through the forest in that exact moment was probably around the age of eighteen, maybe a little more. She was dressed in comfortable jeans and had her long, jet black hair tied up in a ponytail. The woman's outfit had been freshly washed, hung up and dried just before she came out of the house, but because of the fall that just occurred, it had a few stains now. This predicament upset the girl very much. There was a lot more inside her tiny, fragile mind that was upsetting her though. Matter of fact, she had been upset with her life for a long time now. Her father was not a cold-hearted man, but the woman admitted to herself many times that he was undeniably the worst at being a responsible parent. Often, the girl thought, that she had to take on the role of being a parent many times, while her father seemed to take on the role of the child. But before any assumptions could be made of her father, the woman wanted to make it clear - he was not a bad person. He was always getting himself into some kind of sticky situation or problem, whether that be owing some money to a sketchy guy or getting into a stupid fight down at the local bar. The woman wondered if his unbending will to cause chaos had something to do with the passing of her mother few years ago. Her mother... her mother, had been so good to her daughter and her husband. The lady that every man could dream for. She had taught the woman many things - how to be independent and look for a home - even though she expected to live longer than she actually did. Lets just say... things didn't work out according to plan, and ever since the date of her death, Luna had not been able to live an adequate life of happiness and fulfilment. The observation she made that her mother's death had something to do with her father's mindless behaviour, seemed to correct, as slowly Luna witnessed the change from a loving and caring father to a troublemaker who no longer cared about himself, let alone his own daughter who was practically crying for help. And have been for quite some time now. And now, his daughter was the one to take over the household. From taking care of the bills, to job hunting in order to get some food on the table for the both of them. The mother seemed to bring all the happiness with her to the grave, and the daughter was now left alone in this big, eerie space with a father that can not provide for anyone. In addition to the daily chores she had to do, she was in the forest for one reason - and one reason only. To collect firewood. Which she had been doing since the crack of dawn for a few days now since winter was fast approaching. There was no one else to come to for help anyways, and she couldn't swing an ax herself. The wood she managed to gather since the morning was a good enough amount, and she proceeded to take it with her to a nearby lake. She really just wanted time to relax and drink some of the clean water before returning back home for a nap. That was her exact plan as she approached the body of water in her view. She was just going to dip her bare feet in the water, when she suddenly noticed she wasn't alone. The sight of a man just casually standing to the side without a care in the world made the woman slightly shake her head, scoff audibly and pick up her things to head back home - in a huff and puff. The last thing she wanted was to... "Oof!", Luna exclaimed as she tripped on something and fell miserably again except this time, she landed in a pool of mud. "Just my luck!", she carried on, starting to pick up the wood that was now scattered over the dirt floor. So much for a silent and CLEAN exit. |

Luna had been excited to retell this memory to a particular group of people. It was a shame that none of them seemed to share the same belief of her going what they would call, 'full send.' Needless to say, this fact struck at the core of her identity - and she promised not to try 'sending' ever again. "Thanks everyone! Unfortunately this was all for nothing! Better luck next time!" Luna prepared to summon those who had been pestering her for days now about sending 'it', but their frustrations directed towards her about not doing it the proper way had finally gotten to her head. If she wanted to make another effort at going full send, she'd need to go beyond the efforts of her first attempt. She wanted advice, information, ANYTHING that might help her for the next occurrence. @Donny-Donowitz, MasterBates, @Phillip_DeCicco, Richard-Franco, DeeSe7en, Castielle and Klyde, why must you be so hard on Luna - her sweet, pure, innocent soul can't take it no more! |
