As for giving Mr Focker's line, should they come back, more responsibility than the average Joe, I suppose I could agree to what you are implying, but it does seem that the Focker bloodline does have some serious tendency's to screw things up for themselves, so I guess it'll be that leader's own risk weather or not they put trust in the new child of Mr Focker.

Just because people fuck things up doesn't mean they should be penalized for their fathers mistakes. My bloodline has fucked up more times than anyone can count, even your boss could vouch for my father. However I've found that sometimes the best people to work with are the ones you're not as comfortable with. You don't know know them that well so you're always on your feet. Whereas with those that you're comfortable with some seem to get a little too comfortable with how they express themselves.

I was talking about Focker. Many people have made the rank - my own bloodline included - and a growing number have made it twice too, that doesn't mean anything in relation to someone's capacity for capitalising on these (continued) opportunities. Or their capacity to do anything at all worthwhile when they have the chance to at least try and make a difference in ANY way whatsoever on things that matter to them. The alternative, oft-chosen path is to sit idle, plodding along, failing to learn, failing to grow and ultimately implode through what some might call stupidity.

Due to the size of our population on these shores, chances will continue to be given to those that, even in the face of previous failings, display promise and drive on their way up (and so it should be), but it doesn't mean everyone is cut out for sitting atop the tree. That's not a slant either, I don't think I'm cut out for it. From reading old bloodline journals, it seems to be far more enjoyable being the man behind the man.

I can absolutely agree with that one hundred percent. My bloodline has done some simply retarded things, and yet here I set at OWP holding my own in this thing of ours, with new opportunities opening themselves up every time I turn a corner. The past is the past, once people realize that, the better off we'll be as a whole.
