Bianca "R2D2" García placed the business proposal onto the table before ordering herself a glass of wine as she waited for the arrival of her prospective business partner. This location had been purchased some months back by R2D2 in hopes that inspiration would soon strike, and as luck would have it, it did a few weeks ago.
The building was mostly new, and according to the structural blueprints it was built in 1928, just two years ago. The walls were beige for now she thought and the floors which honestly really sold her on the place we're shiny, black, and marble. The floor was so unique that R2D2 was certain she'd never seen anything quite like it before, and the building itself was spacious enough for R2D2's future plans.
Even though choosing to host the initial meeting in the unfinished building was a bit unorthodox. R2D2 had made plans prior to her arrival to the location. The space in which the meeting would be held had been transformed into a quiet, quaint, and charming dining area with splashes of red amongst all the white. She'd hired two waitresses and two servers, and a chef, anticipating her prospective business partners needs and his arrival on an empty stomach.
Sitting back in her seat she remembered when she was just a girl, only thinking of simpler things, and with memory often came pain. Miceli, just the thought of his name seized the breath in her lungs and she forgot to breath for one heart beat of a moment, counting to ten she pushed the memory back, deep down into the recesses of her mind once more and thought only of what would be soon.
Thrumming with excitement she could hardly contain herself at this new venture. Two things were bound to happen. One, she and her new business partner would make a hell of a lot of money, and two she'd have a space to run her operations through, and she was sure that Adonis would find a use for the club for his own nefarious reasons. As she percolated on that particular thought Adonis walked through the front entrance. He was beautiful, but his true force of power and will came from his eyes. He shrewdly accessed everything, taking it all in. She could tell when he made up his mind about the place, because he gave a nod before approaching the small table she'd arranged for their evening.
The waitress appeared at the table and at her approach R2D2 placed her glass down. The waitress spoke in a cultured, but very distinctive Southern voice, "Good evening Ma'am and Sir, may I take your order? And would you care for an appetizer or would you like to skip to the main course?" R2D2 declined both the appetizer and main course, her stomach was a mass of nerves which would make any food she consumed slosh around uncomfortably, but she did ask for another drink. The waitress then turned to Adonis to take his order and promptly left to fulfill what was asked of her.

He'd arrived just on time to the meeting, based on what he considered to be appropriate. He hoped she wasn't waiting long but knew she would be the one awaiting his presence. Not out of an inflated ego, but because he was a guest of hers to this elegantly arranged dinner. She'd put the word out regarding a business venture and he'd happily responded. Money made the world go round, but his acceptance was based on more than just the potential for the digits in his bank account to skyrocket. As Adonis looked over the contract, he nodded. The perks were above and beyond. Again though, not the real reason he was keen to undertake the position of joint partner. The ability to work with the one offering it, was the silent desire. He couldn't help himself. She was stunning. And as he laid the top page of the contract down on the table, he glanced up to meet her gaze. Those lips. It spoke volumes. If anything about her, it gave him all he needed to know regarding who he was sitting across from. Bold. Soaked in the color of passion. Just the kind of sensual distraction that would make a good amount of dough to boot. He smirked. Eyes shining with confidence, he removed a pen from inside his suit jacket. Most days you wouldn't find him dressed so flashy. A simple blazer over a button down shirt and some matching slacks, as they were generally needed to not scare the public. No kind of fashion statement on his head. He liked to look different. To think differently. To be different. Tonight though, he made an effort to match his hosts sense of fancy. Joe's stylish yet conservative full white suit and black bowtie was offset with a fresh red rose where a pocket square should be. If he were to be a part of running something of this nature, that oozed exclusivity, he needed to look the part. His two-tone white and red oxfords were the somewhat highlight. A splash of red to remind those that noticed, he wasn't just another average Joe. With a scribble of his pen, he signed his name on one of the required sections. He then flicked up the page and scribbled his signature again on the copy underneath. Sliding the document back, Adonis left the pen on top. He maintained strong eye contact as he took a sip of his whisky, still yet to respond verbally to R2D2's last comment. After a moment of letting the drink fulfill his penchant for the taste of a good single malt, he rested the glass on the table. He swirled it around, watching the liquor move about, finally speaking his mind. "We are both taking a risk with this. But that's life, one risk after the other. What defines us isn't what we didn't do and didn't fail at not doing, but what we had the courage to do regardless of the potential for things to go pear shaped." Joe looked up at R2D2. His smile still wide, both his mouth and his eyes showing his degree of comfort and enjoyment being here right in this moment. His eyes once again couldn't help but look at the beautifully accentuated red lips across from him. He glanced at them momentarily, then lifted his gaze and leaned forward, his glass raised upwards and even further forwards. "To one hell of a pleasure seeking risk." |
