Yawning, InfiKay walked into one of the abandoned buildings, looking for a bed and something to eat. There's nothing here. A broken hole, where there may have been a skylight. Broken stools lying around, Man, this place must have gone through a terrible era. There was a torn out poster saying something about "Demolishment" on the ground. Picking it up, an idea ran through the warrioress's mind.
Speaking to the voices in her head, "Well I do need the cash." "No! I don't have a license to run a place like this." "Well then, get one." "What if the owner came back?" "Look at this place. There used to be fine wood, mahogany, oak, even. there used to be a skylight from which you could watch the rain. Chandeliers spinning on top, a rotating bar in the centre, a ballroom filled with waiters, this may have been the place where stars gather. Now look at it. There's a cat urinating on the broken furniture. Who would come back for this?" A smile spread across InfiKay's face. "Well, fine. But I'll change the name, to avoid paying taxes to the government, anyway." "I don't know. It has a catchy name. Knightly Karma." "I'm gonna name it, Daily Carma.Get it, coz..." "Just kidding, guys. This restaurant will be as glorious as it once was. Let's fix it up first. Here, kitty."
Welcome to the KNIGHTLY KARMA

It had been a few days since InfiKay stepped into the dark room that was supposedly a bar. Now, it had been renovated. There was actual sunlight poring in through the skylight. She was rich now. And she had a hidden arsenal of weapons in places around the bar, in case someone decided to have some fun with the customers. The roof was glass. You could look at the stars at night, and when it rains, it would be pretty. She looked around, at the wooden stools and tables. That was some real wood. Nothing cheap. In fact, she had had the floor tiles removed and fitted with wooden planks. She had then put out a carpet on top. Only the bar area had no carpet. She didn't want any wine or booze spilling out on her carpet. She even had a nice big sign, the size of a billboard outside. She stood at the bar. She was a bartender!
The girl with the voices waited for the first thirsty customer who would come through the door. |

The crisp Philly night wind curled around her oval face as She strolled down the dark street. Eyes of teal glanced around, looking for a potential sucker to rob, the burning desire to cause chaos roared through her veins. A ragged sigh slipped past her lips as she seen no one around. Hands stuffed in pockets she growled under her breath as she continued to walk within the surrounding darkness. With a swipe of tongue she found herself slightly thirsty, glancing up she seen a flashing sign up ahead, "Knightly Karma". Well, she thought, that might seem to be interesting. Another gust of wind coiled around her cloak as she stopped before the restaurant. Slender fingers curled around the handle as she pulled it open. Warm air rushed to greet her and caress over her face. Shoulders lifted in a silent shrug as she entered and had a glance around, noting the glass ceiling, "nice touch" she mumbled under her breathe as she made her way over to a far corner, always taking to the shadows... Silently She waited with her legs crossed and a hand slightly tapping nails upon the smooth table surface.. |

It was often a rare sight to see Luna walk through the streets of Philadelphia, but she decided to visit since she heard of a new restaurant opening their doors to the local community. She was on a business trip you could say, but really - she was just looking for an excuse to drop by and get an idea of what the owner, InfiKay, was offering. When Luna walked into the once damaged building, she held in her breath as she saw the glass ceiling up above her - mesmerizing in all its ways. "Oof," she announced happily to herself as she kept walking further into the restaurant she found herself in, "...this place is amazing." The bar was in clear view and Luna took the chance to approach InfiKay who was standing behind the counter. "You did really good on this place, ma'am. I could never do such a thing," Luna sat on a comfy bar stool and surveyed her surroundings for a minute before returning her attention back to Infi, who had an approachable vibe about her that Luna was grateful for. She only wished for that kind of trait, but sadly - her unwillingness to speak up most of the time hindered her from ever building up on it. She kept on admiring the place she was in - until her eyes stopped to see a lady in an elegant robe - sitting in the corner of the restaurant. Luna was slightly amused by the way this lady had presented herself. Chilling, yet her classiness was something that Luna couldn't deny. She could tell from the way she was keeping to herself, but at the same time - being a careful observer. Well, Luna didn't know for sure who she really was - she was not one to assume, so she slowly nodded towards Infi before getting up from her stool. Approaching someone so directly was something way out of Luna's comfort zone - but it had been a while since she did it, so it was time to see how good she was at her social skills. Maybe she had gotten better? She laughed a little on the way. Funny how a trip to a restaurant had turned into a social experiment! The next minute, Luna found herself towering over the woman - but her legs shook with fear that maybe her presence would be unwanted. She braced herself for the moment, taking a shaky breath before smiling gently in her direction. "Um, hi there ma'am. Why are you sitting alone tonight? Surely you have company?" Luna questioned nicely, hoping not to make it seem like she was intruding on her privacy - merely just a question based on one's concern for someone sitting alone on a night like this. Luna was wondering if she was just being a bother, and maybe she had gotten the wrong idea of her whole persona. But she was oddly intrigued by her demeanour, and hoped to have an interesting conversation with her tonight. She waited quietly for a response, and felt really awkward doing so - but she sat down across from her and managed to keep calm. She shouldn't have been so nervous just to talk to someone, but for some reason - this lady made shivers run up and down Luna's spine. However, one thing to consider - this would happen almost every time she would come into contact with someone. |

InfiKay silently waited at the bar, for whoever came through that big oak door. There were police sirens to be heard in the distance. She was starting to feel as though she had worked for nothing. And the chefs and waiters were threatening to leave, as they did not have anyone to cook for. Just when the quarreling in the kitchen was starting to get louder and louder, the bell above the door rang. Infi had put it up, so the waiters would know a new customer has arrived. Infi turned to see a tall lady, whose movement was as swift as the wind outside and her aura was that of a fierce shadow. It almost seemed like she glided over to one of the tables in the corner, on a seat for two, and sat down, silently waiting.
InfiKay was surprised for a moment, until one of her waiters got her out of her trance. Then, realization hit. She had customers! She nodded to the waiter as he disappeared behind the kitchen, and the quarreling instantly died. Stoves could be heard switched on. The crackling of the fire was reassuring. Food will be cooked today. Good food. InfiKay felt she must go welcome her first customer. She walked towards her with her head held high, and a warm smile on her face.
"Hello, dear. Welcome to Knightly Karma. I am the owner, InfiKay. We do have a menu. This is a new style of restaurant. All you have to do is tell us what you crave for, and we'll make it for you."
Signalling to a waiter, InfiKay ordered him to get some cool tea and the pad for an order. "Please excuse me. My man, Johnny will take good care of you." And Infi turned around and walked back to the bar with a majestic gait.
The bell rang again. There was another customer. She seemed a little nervous, shy, but Infi could sense power and brilliance radiating from her. As this new person walked over to Infi, a lot of thoughts ran in her mind. But she silenced them all, asking "Good evening and welcome to Knightly Karma. Would you like something to drink?" The lady introduced herself as Luna and sat down at the bar. As InfiKay signaled another waiter, and this one, Dennis was his name, he started playing nice quiet music by the piano. She looked at Luna. Luna looked at her. There was a brief pause and they both nodded in admiration. Luna then got up and made her way towards Nyx, the shadow in the corner. Johnny had told Kay that her name was Nyx, and there were rumors that she was a figure of great power.
Infi had thought this interesting, and made a mental note to talk to these two women of greatness later on in the evening. |

Evening had settled on Philly, the gentle breeze signaling that fall was well on its way. Star pulled her shrug tighter around her shoulders as Declan closed the car door behind her. Together they made their way to the new bar. Star toyed with the invitation in her fingers as they approached the oak doors. The atmosphere inside was calm and warm and in the back, Star could see infiKay speaking to Luna. Declan lifted the shrug from her shoulders and gently place it over his outstretched arm as they found a place to sit. It was nice to be able to sit down and let someone serve them rather than being the ones doing the serving. The Observatory had been so busy lately that there had been very little down time for them to enjoy together. Once InfiKay was finished with her business with the other ladies, she made her way over to Star's table. Star smiled warmly, standing up to greet InfiKay on her new business. "This looks amazing, I love what you've done with the place. Thank you for the invitation, I'm delighted to come by and give you my patronage. Tell me a little more about this place, if you'd like?' |

Nyx nodded the waiter to be on his way as he brought her a rum and coke, slender fingers stroked along the smooth glass as she leaned back in her chair, watching as more customers filled the joint. A smile played upon her lips as the cool liquid slipped down her throat. A soft sigh slipped past her lips, savoring the bittersweet drink. Nails lightly tapped upon the table, keeping to herself, taking it all in, she glances up to the glass ceiling. The philly night sky was beautiful this crisp night, she could clearly see each star dance within the naked night sky. Easily she became lost within the stars, thinking about the old days with a remembering smile. The sound of soft voices from within the room brought her back to earth. Eyes flickered back to to watching the people talk among themselves.. Still silently she sat there, enjoying the calm environment.. |

InfiKay felt honored as many more people came in. Those that were invited not only came, they brought others too. She spotted Star, and walked up to her. "Hey Star! What's up? Come on in, Don't just stand there!" Star then inquired about some of the history of the place, and Infi did not know much, other than that one of her ancestors eons ago used to run it. Fate had her stumble upon this place, barely recognizing it. No one in her family ever told her that someone from our house had come to this continent. But when she visited the office to register a billboard ad, they had pulled up a dusty old record, that was half chewed up by rats, that showed a name, the first name unclear, as the ink had been smudged everywhere, but the last name was clearly the same as mine! Not many people with our last name, and those who did have it, but weren't part of the Assassin family, my blood born family, the family that raised me to be an assassin, were killed by the Assassins as an initiation rite, with all records of their existence erased.
"But I'm trying to run it the best way I can. " "Enjoy some drinks! What would you like? Vodka, Tequilla, Beer?" |
