Marcus approaches the streets, a cigarette dangling between his lips. His hand takes it away from his mouth and he exhales before speaking.
Why should Whatsername spend a lovely evening with me? Well isn't it obvious, I'm an attractive, intelligent man who will treat her right even if it is just for one night.
He takes another drag off the cigarette before elaborating.
I'd have a close associate go undercover and find out what her favorite flower is. Then, just before arriving at her house to pick her up for our evening out I'd stop at a florist and pick up the freshest beautiful bunch of her favorite flowers. When I'm at her door, I'd present the flowers and when she goes to put them into water I'd patiently wait in the foyer for her to come back.
Once the flowers are properly taken care of were off to the best restaurant in town. I can't help but smile as I think about Whatsername waking up tomorrow morning and remembering what a great time she'll have had with me tonight at the sight of the flowers nestled into a crystal vase. My smile will stay on my face the whole time and why shouldn't it? Whatsername will take your breath away with her beauty. It's why her name is always lost, not forgotten.
The restaurant will be ready for us to arrive. Of course I've called ahead to make a reservation, but not just any sort of reservation. A private table tucked away in the back, the view of the city is amazing and with the floor to ceiling clear window it's almost as if you are on top of the world. Wine arrives without being asked for, the service is excellent and the meal is complemented with great conversation.
After dinner, a show of course. There are plenty of Broadway shows in New York, or maybe the ballet, or the opera. I let her choose, as art is a very personal and intimate thing. I've reserved box seats at all the shows in town tonight so whichever one she chooses we'll have a spot.
On the drive home after we've both agreed the show was perfect I'd ask her to join me for a walk in the park across from her house. If she would agree we'd stroll through under a full moon. Good thing the criminals are on our side as I wouldn't have to show her that side of me tonight. No one would bother us and we'd smoke and have another great conversation. Once our feet become sore I'd walk her up to her door and tell her that I had a wonderful night and if she'd like to do it again she knew his number.
During Marcus' explanation he had smoked his cigarette, put it out and by the time he finished he was already lighting another. He motions for one of his body guards to approach him and says in a lower voice something about flowers. The guard moves away and Marcus has the look of confidence on his face. Even if he isn't chosen he knows a lovely woman would enjoy some lovely flowers. |
