The Detroit Job Started by: Rosaleen on Sep 26, '18 20:09

Rosaleen was surprised at the way she was feeling.  She would usually feel a little anxiety the day of an intricate sting.  Today she was feeling rather calm and composed.  Even if the job involved the recovery of 99 pounds of cocaine secreted within the corrugated bottoms of 20 cardboard boxes containing pineapples, it was the principle of the matter.   In this thing of ours, we don’t steal from each other.  Plus the fact they had taken 2 very expensive painting.  She knew that even the most well-constructed plans can go terribly wrong  the only fretfulness she had was that the paintings might not be in the warehouse.

@Nithgttrid and Bentley had already met Rex and stored the truck in the warehouse in hangar #8.  Rex was so on board and ready to help he had acquired 4 security guard uniforms for us to use.   We hadn’t even thought about that, didn’t ask how he got them but told him how we appreciated all he had done.   Nighttrid told him he would be handsomely paid for his services.  She knew that brought a smile to his face.

They all just chilled the rest of the day.   She tried to relax waiting for the time they needed to leave.

Around 2 am she received a call for Charlie__Pavanno saying let’s get the ball on the roll.   Frank arrived to pick her up and they followed Charlie to the airport.

It was almost 3 am when we arrived.   Night, Bentley, Fox and the crew were already waiting with the truck.  They parked in the designated area across from hangar #12 where we could see everything going on outside.   Around 4:05 as planned they saw the men head into the warehouse.

It was 4:05, Nighttrid along with Bentley and Fox entered the warehouse as per the plan. Bentley moved towards the first guard who was situated near the back entrance, using a baseball bat he struck him hard on his back until he was knocked out; he was then dragged towards the wooden pallets. His body was tied up and hid behind them. He then gave the signal to Night to move towards the front to take care of the guard in the security booth.

Night told Fox to keep an eye out for the other two guards in case they were around, Night made his way to the front. He was already wearing a guards uniform as were the rest, with his hat down he made his way around to the entrance of the security booth; he then knocked on the door and as soon as the door opened Night introduced the knob of the bat to the guards face and he was out cold in one shot. Night pushed the door open moving the guards unconscious body, he tied the body up and moved it under the front desk to conceal it from sight.

Fox singled Gerry for the truck to be brought in, meanwhile Night went over to the east side of the warehouse where the merchandise was said to be. He opened the boxes to check the merchandise, once he verified that he gave the go ahead to grab the forklifts to start loading the truck.

Fox then signaled @Charlie_Pavanno who was waiting with Rosaleen at Hanger #8, the warehouse was secured but the returning of the guards was inevitable, it was just a matter of time. Night and Bentley kept guard in case the guards came back before we left.

Charlie entered the warehouse, making sure that his face was covered from view as he wore a balaclava. He scoped it out and was sure that no guards would be able to spot him, due to his slight average frame and his lithe body. Charlie soon came into Hanger once again noticing that all the goods were secured. He continued his search, knowing that not everything could be accounted for.

Charlie soon found himself in one of the rows that had held many of the precious goods that had to be secured for the client. Charlie brought his crowbar closer to himself, as he noted that two crates had remained untouched. He walked forward with all haste and soon began to open the crate up, Charlie smirked at what he saw.

Two rolled up paintings, that were definitely the costly possessions of their client. Charlie found himself placing them carefully into a duffel bag, knowing that he did not want to damage them in any way. He began to make his way out, knowing that time was of the essence, he soon found himself back at the track with his 'co-workers' and he smiled, knowing that this had gone off without a thing wrong.

He shared a look with Rosaleen and Nighttrid, with a single smirk, they could tell what he was thinking...

"Let the good times roll! Woo, let's move out. We did well..."

Charlie soon entered his designated car with Bentley and Rosaleen, knowing that it was Nighttrid, who was to drive the goods and deliver them to the buyer, who happened to be Assunto. Everything had gone off without a hitch, they found the goods and he knew that The Client would be happy.

Little did Charlie Pavanno know that this was just the beginning of his heisting future...

Rosaleen waited patiently in the car observing everything that was going on.  Her legs were so visible shaking Frank placed his hand on her knee to assure her the men had this.   She understood her feelings because this had got so personal.

She finally saw the truck backing out of the warehouse.  Charlies__Pavanno was headed back to the car.   She got out really fast and walked toward him.  As she got closer to him she could see a contented smile on his face.  You found the paintings right?  He threw his arm around her shoulders as they turned back to the cars.   Sure did,  still packaged just like you described.  Stupid mother fuckers probably never knew what they had.  We got your client's processions back plus a few extras.

He opened the door to the car for her and as she turned to thank him, he anticipated what she was going to say.   No need to thank me, Rosaleen.  I just hope my check is in the mail for that envelope you received.  They both laughed.  You SOB, it was you all the time who had it delivered.  And you had me wondering all this time.   Charlie closed the door.   Get some rest Rosaleen, we will talk soon.

We followed Nighttrid and made our way back to A&N.

After receiving a call from Nighttrid , Assunto knew he couldn't pass up on this opportunity. A massive amount of drugs to be bought from Rosaleen , he quickly made arrangements to go check the packages out.

He walked up to Nighttrid's warehouse he was happy but also slightly anxious as he didn't like dealing with this kind of matter in person but for such a great opportunity he'd gladly make the exception. He remained wary of his surrounding whilst entering the warehouse, as this was the first time he ever was on the premises. The hardened criminal knew to always have an out, a way to escape if stuff got out of hand.

After he exchanged pleasantries with Nighttrid, he urged them to get on with it so he could get out of there as soon as possible. After he inspected the merchandise he concluded it was legit and told Nighttrid he would like to go through with the purchase of the goods. The savvy businessman Assunto is, he already had a distributor lined up who would gladly purchase the entire lot.

Rosaleen put the final touches to her hair and make-up.   Once she finishes this final part of her business here she was going to hit the town and enjoy herself.  There was a nice Steakhouse and Comedy Club she wanted to check out.

Once satisfied with the way she looked she made her way to the conference room where Bentley had escorted Nighttrid and Don Assunto.

She said hello to Night and gave him a hug.  Assunto was standing looking out of the window and she walked over to him.

Don Assunto it very nice to see you again.  She extended her hand to shake his.   I  you have checked everything out and I want to thank you for your generous offer to purchase the merchandise and my client was extremely pleased with the price offered.

After they had spoken about the deal one more time Assunto had pulled out the large envelope filled to the brim with 100$ notes. He handed it over to Rosaleen and smiled nervously, he always felt on edge doing these kinds of transactions. "Feel free to count it" he had said.

He stepped back and felt happy, knowing the deal had almost been finalized.

Rosaleen accepted the fat envelope.  No need to count it Don Assunto.  She passed the envelope to Bentley.  She had done a number of jobs with Don Assunto.  Surely she wouldn't dishonor a man as highly respected as he was with counting the money.    It's has been a pleasure doing business with you and Nighttrid.  You both understood the importance of the reason for my business here in Detroit and did your utmost to assist me. This thing became very personal because the product was stolen from a very fine man in Las Vegas.  She still wanted some type of retaliation on the Patrizia boys for ripping it off in the first place but would leave that revenge to another day.

She stood up with an exultant smile on her face.   Well, Gentlemen, it seems like our business here is over.  It's time for us to celebrate a little.  We are going to hit a few spots around town if you care to join us.

Report Post Tip

Night was very happy with how things turned out, after everything was said and done Rosaleen invited them to join them for an outing. Night had all the time but Assunto was a busy man and it wasn't clear if he could come, so before anyone's response came Night told Rosaleen about his new business that He set up and Invited for her to come down to have a look at it and Possibly get a car her self.

Report Post Tip

Rosaleen was excited to hear about @Nightrid new business A&N Motors.  From the beautiful cars and limousines, she had already seen at his other business she knew he would do very well with the dealership.   She thoroughly enjoyed being chauffeured by Frank in that  Lincoln K Series Black Sedan.

She was also thrilled about the fact that business was over and he would be joining her for some fun.   She knew that Assunto was a very busy man but hopefully he would be able to put some time aside to just relax.
