Louie recently invested in a house near the University of Chicago, in South Side. The purpose of this house was to put up one of his earners, Lucille. Lucille is 28 and grew up on the streets, living house to house, slum to slum. She did whatever it took to get paid, and she was good at making money. She was quick despite her rough childhood. One of her biggest hustles was the sex game. It was a dirty business, but if it were a trade, she'd be a master. She worked her way through the ins and outs of prostitution, and at her age and her experience, would make for a good "mother" for other girls like her.

The type of girls Lucille had out working for her were all young, some perhaps not even 18, none over 20. All of them were either homeless or addicts. They were all pretty, but not strikingly attractive. None were overweight due to malnourishment. Lucille knew which girls to look for to earn. They all made very good money through Lucille, seeing as many as 20 clients per night. Lucille had the operation, but no base.

Louie drove to the local bar where he had told Lucille to meet him. Upon arrival, Louie spotted her sitting in a booth, waving him over.

Lucille was happy to see me, and we exchanged hellos. He slipped into the booth and leaned forward to speak more closely with her.

"Lucille, The reason I wanted to meet you is because I got a surprise for you."

Lucille's face gave a curious look, but she nodded and waited for me to continue.

"You've been really doing well on the street showing young girls the game. All of the girls look at you as a mother to them. I've purchased a house for you and the girls that will help your operation expand and organize. In exchange for this gift, I need you to be willing to be my Pointman, because I'm too busy to focus on this operation. You're getting a big raise, and a great opportunity. In exchange I ask for loyalty."

Lucille understood concurrently as I spoke. She nodded and hummed at every break in speech. When I was finished she looked at me square and true. The look in her eyes was decisive and strong.

"Louie, boss. With this house, I can put a roof over all the girls heads, you don't know how thankful they will be. And you don't need to worry, I will be in charge, the money will come in with the girls, or they can sleep outside that night."

Lucille and her 'sisters' walked into their new home. Located in South Side, close to where Louie operated. The house was a good size, as it needed to be. Lucille, plus her 7 current sisters, who knows if she would recruit more. Lucille told all the girls to get settled in, and she proceeded to take a look around the house.

As she passed through the entrance, there was a large den on the right, kitchen to the left, and further down the hallway was Lucille's bedroom and office, and a bathroom. Upstairs was multiple bedrooms, all with four beds in each corner of the room, and a few storage places. Luxuries were limited in the house, but they did have hot running water, food, a radio in the den, and most importantly a roof.

As soon as the sisters were done getting settled, Lucille sat in the den in the large recliner chair, and called the family to a meeting.

"Sisters, gather around. Welcome to our new home. We won't have to live out on the streets any longer, but we all have to earn our keep, as we have before. This house has been granted to us by our boss, but he expects us to make good use out of it. I have been trusted to oversee the operation. You girls are free to do as you like, but you still gotta go out and get some money. If you don't bring me $1000 by the end of the night, you sleep outside. You all start tonight."

Firm but fair. Lucille is asking more of the girls but in exchange they are free to live as they like, except when they are at work. Lucille ran a tight ship. She was smart, and she was also tough. She never worked with a pimp for protection until I found her and brought her in. She ran solo which was a risky business. Regardless, she lived until 28, whereas some other girls don't live to see 25. She hurt, she killed, she sinned, but she survived. Now, she was going to help these girls survive, but in exchange they need to earn their keep. Each girl would probably make 2, 3 grand a night with Lucille's help, and they all had no place else to go. They all understood, and the answer was synonymous amongst them.

"Yes, Mother."
