It seems to me that here in the "NEW AMERICA" we do not have what they call free speech after all.

It seems even here it is about...... MONEY AND POWER VS Freedom of Choice.

Pardon was gunned down by his family for simply pointing out a simply fact......wheather it was on the street or not, everyone can see it as plain as day.

So much for talking things through if make a mistake that the boss does not like, is made .... shoot the bum is the call .... Sad to see that some of the powerful families are stooping to those depths.

It use to be that people were allowed to voice what they saw. Where did that go ???

Actually Taz, the call was defend the member, and redirect the debate.  Then, when the next comments showed a masive lack of judgement, more agressive actions were taken. 

Everyone still has freedom of speech. Pardon was not denied his freedom of speech either. He said what he wanted and he was heard. Freedom of speech does not mean you're not still responsible for what you say and that there won't be consequences coming from what you say. In our business that responsibility is taken very seriously and those consequence will be quite dire.

Freedom of speech is given to us by the governement. Nowhere is it written that the mafia has to give you the right to say what you want. In fact, when you enlist in a family you sign your life away to that family. Your Boss can kill you whenever he or she decides you have not done your job correctly. 

You have freedom of speech.

So long as the leaders like everything you say. Should they not then your sorry arse is getting shot. Why? because they have power and you don't. Thats the way the cookie crumbles.

What about freedom to shoot?

This is the Mafia, remember? Anyone can be shot, for any reason, at any time.

Also, freedom of speech means the government cannot restrict what you say.  It doesn't mean that the mafia cannot silence you.  Or did you think the constitution was written to limit the powers of the mafia?

I agree with everything that has been said here thus far. This man was given a chance to redirect his mistake and turn it into a meaningful discussion then he moved on to make an implication that is plain disrespectful to everyone involved with him including the city of NY and myself. I can only hope his bloodline and others like him take note and learn for the future that there are just some lines you don't cross.
