| The Good Old Days | Started by: Luna on Sep 28, '18 14:29 |
Luna was entering a new city, and there were still many places to visit and other people to meet. She had met some of the other members of her family already - but it was a very brief introduction and she needed to be patient as everyone would surely be adjusting to their new schedules. It was her second day of being in Philadelphia and being associated with Midas Air - the newest airline based in the Philadelphia Municipal Airport, where Luna imagined - dreams came to life. She believed in the same vision Adonis had for the commercial air transport industry, and she couldn't wait to see what else was in store. She was thinking of maybe becoming an apprentice to Ilaria at the clinic that she had heard about from a friendly source, but it would be pointless to assist as she had no prior knowledge about being a nurse and catering for patients. Luna had imagined she would probably be better off working closer to the architectural side of things as she was aware of her innovative capabilities - but often her confidence in herself lacked. There was nothing worst than feeling like you weren't good enough, and Luna would also often think back to the good old days, when she was still a young girl and thought nothing of what other people would think of her. Her younger self was carefree in all her ways, and now that Luna had reached the ripe 'old' age of twenty, she was hardly ever that same carefree girl anymore. Luna could blame it on not being more active in her social life, but for the most part it was probably all her fault that she ended up like this. Well, sometimes she was just being hard on herself when she said that. She definitely wasn't that bad, but secretly she was a perfectionist - and would give up easily when things didn't end up going her way. Luna was actually trying to abandon that trait, but right now it was all slow progress. Although maybe that was the case for Luna and an old friend. They had drifted apart ever since their last meeting at a fancy bar restaurant in Los Angeles., and she felt the urge to reconnect again with him - but she felt like she had ruined the chances of them growing their bond. Luna vaguely remembered their first meeting at that one particular bar. It was a night out, and was probably there for something business related. If not, she was there for entertainment purposes. The point is - she was there, and that was the time when she had met the dashing, young AlexanderKnight. Looking back at it now, she wished things had gone differently. The only reason she was able to even remember that night was mostly because after a drink, not even a drink - maybe even just a sip of alcohol - sent her over the edge. Now that is a summary of how she earned the nickname 'Lightweight'. All props went to Alexander of course, and upon hearing it for the first time she was slightly irritated yet her night grew less lonely and more enjoyable. With that, laughter came. However, the night ended pretty badly when she ended up in the restaurant bathroom with her head in the toilet bowl, puking out all her past regret. She let Alexander fetch her a cab but had collapsed shortly after standing for a few minutes, waiting for him to complete the payments with the bartender. Luna didn't remember much the next morning, but it was definitely a lesson to be learned. To not drink alcohol ever again. However, Luna didn't seem to be sticking to that promise since the last time she had a shot of vodka was a few days ago. At least she wasn't an avid drinker though. She feared being sent to a group like 'Alcoholics Anonymous'. Fast forward to now. Luna hadn't spoken to him since, and she yearned to meet up with him again - but she was nervous that he might not be the same man she met at that bar. Change is unrelenting, and people have to embrace it sometimes for the better. She was given a great first impression of him at that restaurant a year ago, and had enjoyed her time spent with him despite the bad memory of trying to contain her vomit in the toilet bowl by the end of the night. Luna wasn't scared that maybe he had gone through a change of personality over the time they had not seen each other, instead she was ashamed in herself for staying the same girl she was at that night in the bar. She was still naive as ever. Even as the life of crime became a struggle to keep up with and usually had to adjust to the fast environment, she sometimes felt like she was losing her soul in the process. Adonis and Ilaria_Santoro was always there for her to come to - she was aware of that - but talking it out could only do so much. Luna admitted to herself that she was nervous. If fate would bring them to each other again, she was worried that he wouldn't recognize her anymore, but maybe that was a good thing. They could start all over again. Back to square one, she supposed. As Luna continued to explore the Midas Air airport, she only hoped that she could have Alexander with her. To show him around the complex and give him a tour, and maybe get to know each other properly. She was starting to know her way around now the building. All that was left now was to discover that old friend of hers. The one she had come to eternally appreciate. But where was he? What was he doing? Was the same man she once knew? What changed during their absences with one another? |
