| Vacation Mode for Hustle Points | Started by: ConstanceBonacieux on Oct 02, '18 03:37 |

I understand that Hustle Points are a way to reward for daily activity throughout the different area of the game, however, would it be possible to create a feature that allows a user to set a "vacation time" so they can go away and not come back to the tediousness of building back up? It's very disheartening to know that you will lose the work you put into things while away with the family or whatever. Not all vacations include data connections and readily available wifi networks to use. Obviously, a player could not cancel the vacation setting once it's been set. They would have to wait until it expired, if they are actively playing during the time they have "vacation mode" turned on their work would not go toward the Hustle. Pro: Happy people able to enjoy their vacation. Con: None as long as the proper checks and balances like the inability to earn points toward or turn off before expiration are put in place. |

Another game i used to play had a vacation mode you had to book it about a week in advance and could last upto i think 3 weeks with the minimum being a week so couldn't just use it to skip a war. |

I'm not suggesting a vacation mode for all aspects of the game, just the Hustle Points. I've never been supportive of a full game vacation mode as there are too many ways it can be abused. |

This seems like a good idea. Can't see any downsides. I'd be happy to have this option when I go away, for sure. |

| I would be ok if you only went back to the beginning of your previous tier each day you missed. Taken 28 days to hit +4 and lose it all in 24 hours if you forget to hustle. | |

Forgetting to Hustle is totally different than what I am proposing Beyond. This is a suggestion to implement the ability to turn on a "vacation mode" for xxx amount of time so you can enjoy time away with friends and family, unplugged from all forms of internet, and not have to come back and start over again. However, thank you for pointing out a way that it could be abused. I would like to add a minimum time that one can set their "vacation mode" for. It should be at least 72 hours. This would accommodate a weekend away, but not tempt those to abuse it by only setting it for 24 hours every three days. |

This seems like a good idea to me, just a toggle in which the hustle is activated or dectivated, but with some amount of time as leeway in between both ways. This makes it so people won't abuse because they are being penalized by a few days after the fact, too (but they don't lose their streak so it's no biggie). *Has vacation on the 13-15*, Sets the hustle freeze on the 11th, able to unfreeze on the 17th. So I guess like a two day gap timer? I'm not sure if a maximum usage is necessary, some people have longer vacations. It's not like they're gaining hustle points. But, I can see it in extreme cases where the person tries to freeze the streak for a month. So perhaps say a week at maximum for a hustle freeze? Same amount of time crews typically wait at minimum for an IA player. |

I think one important thing to remember is HP's are free. We're being rewarded for our loyalty and playing MR every single fucking day. Remember that not only is this a community, it's a business and source of revenue. Considering the Lounge CDs, the Hustle Points, the periodic free Hustle Point from IRC...we're pretty well treated in the freebies department. I also just lost a long streak of +4's, and it certainly stings knowing it will take me another month to build it back up. But that's a choice I made when I chose real life over digital life. |

Which by the way, given the opportunity, you should always choose real life over digital life. |

I'm torn on this. I don't think I agree with a "vacation mode" per say, but I wouldn't be opposed to a "you've done X days in a row, here's a free miss"
^even with that though I'd like it to be obscene, like 60 days for 1 save or some shite.
I pretty much don't think there should be any save, buuuutttt, we do have DFP stacking and that's what makes me torn. |

I think I would prefer the free miss over the vacation mode honestly. |

Free miss sounds more reasonable |

| I've been +4 since may 2018. I would definitely enjoy a free miss. | |
