This is awful, was looking at before and after photos today and just devastating. I think the last count was up to 1400 dead and rising. My thoughts are this, if you live close to the ocean, you are assuming the risk. Tsunami's are no joke. 2011 Japan, Sri Lanka Tsunami 2004, the list goes on. Mother nature is a beast when she wants to be. Stay safe out there all. |

I'm from Indonesia, born there - thankfully though no family in the affected area. However, it's just going from bad to worse -- and as usual, the politics that run parallel with the disasters is just as bad. (Also posting for the daily Hustle hah). |

Where I am had its fair share of disasters recently and had a tsunami few years back that was devastating. Awful to see it in Indonesia! When I was young I barely remember any reports of tsunami's or anything but since 2004 seems to have been quite a few |
