| What's in the FUCKING suitcase? | Started by: Luna on Oct 04, '18 21:27 |

It became apparent that Luna wasn't going to find out what was in the FUCKING suitcase anytime soon. It was locked tight, but she didn't have the key on her. Just moments ago, she was sitting inside the offices of Midas Air as midnight was beginning to dawn - then suddenly, she hears footsteps outside the entrance. She gets up immediately to assess the situation but only arrives at the doors to find that someone had dropped of this... mysterious black suitcase. The contents of it were unknown. "What the fuck..." She gulped, as she knew that from past stories - things like this resulted in some kind of threat or bomb. Or maybe she was just thinking too hard about the situation. Luna wasn't alone in the HQ though, and she politely ushered for Charlie to come over. "Uh Charlie...? Can you come take a look at this?" |

"Heh, you're kidding right?" Charlie backed away, he was wearing his casual clothing, not having anything special to do for today, instead, he opted to come in and relax in the Headquarters, knowing that a job would make itself known eventually. Only he did not expect this when he came in, Luna trying to open a rather suspicious briefcase. "I ain't going near that, could be armed to trigger as soon as we hear the click, I ain't trying to die before I earn the approval of Adonis and Ilaria...I mean respect of my fellow co-workers" Charlie covered up his rather insecure wording with a cough, his eyes darting between the briefcase and Luna, for one thing, was right, he was not going near that case. "So...what do we do now? Cause I ain't trying to die!" |

Luna took notice of his defiance to come any closer, and she too didn't want to have anything to do with trying to open it. But then again - curiosity had killed the cat. Unfortunately, she just had that extreme urge to find out what was inside. It couldn't be dangerous right? Luna shook her head and slapped herself mentally. Well it was highly likely that it wasn't something good if it was dropped off by a stranger. "This is no joke. I think we're FUCKED. We don't even have a key? Like who drops off a suitcase without a damn key?" She put her hands to her temples and rubbed in a frustrating manner. Luna is suddenly brought away from her panicked thoughts when she hears Charlie rant in a nervous manner about wanting to earn approval from Adonis and Ilaria. Something told her from the way he coughed insecurely afterwards that he didn't mean to say that out loud. "Oh trust me... I ain't trying to die before that either. Well.. I think we need to clear our heads and get rid of the thought that it's something bad. Someone is doing this to torture us. That's my suspicion... It could be something as harmless as prostitution flyers or something?" |

Charlie tilted his head, looking to Luna with a rather pointed expression, he wondered what often went on in her mind, but knew that it was a mystery to many a people. Although she seemed determined to find out what it was inside the briefcase, the best thing to be would to drop it off when no one was around or possibly replace another briefcase with this one, one would barely be able to tell the difference. "What do you mean, are you also trying to earn the -Mumbles- Approval of our esteemed bosses?" Charlie asked under his breath, hoping to god that she did not pick up on his growing concern of approval, but he soon washed that away and started to approach the briefcase with the ever secure mask of bravery - soon enough he had reached it and with a deep intake of breath, he crouched down, he looked back to Luna with a small smile... "If I die opening this, and its prostitution papers, we are going there, to you know, extort" |

Luna got a trickle of nervousness down her spine when a brave Charlie stalks towards the mysterious briefcase. She had gotten word of his question about the approval of their bosses, but she was too tense to answer and instead saved it for another time. "I think," she coughed, "we need to just focus on this right now. We have no idea what's inside." The shortness of breath and the small smile that he gave to her before speaking made her eyes widen. "Be careful please." She wanted to step back, but feared that it would just make her seem more of a weakling. Funnily enough, this whole situation seemed to be like a test. A personality test maybe. A test on whether they could manage to be strategic whilst under pressure. Was someone questioning her liability? "Erm. Wait Charlie. Do you have any.. known enemies? Or rivals perhaps?" |

"Yes I have made quite a few in my time Luna, what would they-" Charlie's eyes turned to the briefcase and doing his nickname justice, Charlie jumped back, landing next to Luna with ease, before his eyes went to her, they were as wide as saucers. He motioned with his head for her to go forward, something that she pointedly seemed to be ignoring, Charlie smirked, before moving behind her, so that she was in front of him slightly. "Now, Luna, I doubt you would have many enemies to your caring nature, so why don't you go ahead?" Charlie's voice was too soft and trying to please, almost as if he was trying to encourage Luna to go ahead with this. Charlie continued to put on the kind words, trying to make sure that it was Luna who went first. He was not going to go first in this situation, because his enemies would love the chance to kill him like this... |

She didn't know why she was involving the topic of enemies and rivals in this, but it seemed to all make sense. Somehow despite feeling uneasy, she had managed to relax her shoulders. It still didn't shake off the fact that the fear of paranoia was clouding up her judgement though. Charlie took a harsh step away from the briefcase and turned to her with bulging eyes. Luna was then suddenly gesticulated by Charlie to replace his duty as the briefcase opener... but right now she was feeling like a coward. "I mean, I try to be friendly to everyone I meet?? I can't think of any potential rivals right now. Well there was that one guy at this cafe not far from here who got angry at me for spilling my cup of coffee all over his new tie. I don't blame him though. That tie was real... expensive-looking." She tried to lighten up the mood a little bit by retelling an unfortunate situation, but instead it just made her worry more. The gentle voice by Charlie sadly wasn't doing much either to help her, but she knew that if she didn't act now - it might be too late for her later. "We need something sharp... Do you have any experience with lock-picking?" |

Charlie cursed under his breath, remember he was particularly short on cash sometimes that he would allow himself to indulge in the lockpicking branch of things, he was skilled and ready to do it. Although he looked to Luna with a glare, albeit mild, but still it was fierce as a cat's, or at least it should have been, Charlie was simply looking like a kid who had just lost his beloved toy. "Well....I've dabbled in the arts and allowed myself to become quite the expert" Charlie grumbled, knowing what was to happen, he sighed and looked down at the ground. His eyes soon sweep back up to look at the Briefcase opposite, almost as if it was challenging him to pick it up. Charlie grunted and knew what he was to do, he was going to pick the fuck out of this lock! He will succeed to get this Lock Picked and Open, no matter the cost, be it bomb or prostitution papers, although the latter did appeal to him... "Alright, I'm ready, let's go!" |

His initial response at her question had been to mumble absentmindedly to himself. Luna frowned slightly at the gesture and instantly regretted asking, but she was soon comforted when he gave her the reassurance that he was quite the expert in the field of lockpicking. "I've tried, and tried - but I never seem to get the hang of it. It's best I leave it to the professionals." She nodded and let Charlie lead the way. A wave of relief rushed over her when she realized she had a great person on her side. He was not only one of her best pals, but he was also a skilled lock picker. Amazing what is revealed when people are put under stressful situations. She thought she knew him, but apparently she had only been scratching the surface. Luna wondered what else she would discover. She walked off in a rush trying to find something sharp, when she remembered the box of bobby pins in her purse. Luna never used them anymore because she liked having her hair down now. "I found a bobby pin!" Luna shouted from across the office. She quickly returned to Charlie's side and gave it to him before pursing her lips. "You got this." |

"Right cause every person who said that does not die soon, let's just do this..." Charlie shook his head, getting himself pumped up as he walked over to the suitcase, his eyes staying locked, never once straying. His footsteps were echoing until they soon stopped, he knelt down, his hands getting a feel for the suitcase. "Okay, so either you die today or you may make some money, The Latter is most rewarding. Let's do this!" Charlie started to pick the lock, his hands delicately maneuvered to try and find the sweet spot, his eyes were narrowed in concentration, finally, his pick had found it and turning it ever so slightly, he heard the click... With the agility of a cat, Charlie jumped back and landed behind Luna, his head peeking out from over her shoulder to see if the bomb that he thought was there would go off... "Phew! I should be called Charlie The Brave!" |

His hands moved at an impeccable pace as Luna carefully watched her friend do the magic. Luna was impressed by how quickly he finished, and once the clicking sound resounded in the air - he ran towards her to hide behind her back. Her breath stopped short and her jaw dropped as the realization quickly came to her that they'd both be finding out what was inside the FUCKING suitcase. "U-um.. Charlie... Is that... a PEN?" Luna raised an eyebrow as she looked at Charlie. It was a pen this whole time. A fucking pen. Besides being confused, she was also extremely frustrated that all this time they had been stressing themselves over nothing. What did all this mean? Was there some kind of double meaning under all this? She let out a bitter laugh. "Huh. I still would like to know who dropped this suitcase off though. Is this their way of telling us that the power is in our hands? To write our own destiny...?" This situation made no sense, but so much sense at the same time. Who knows? Maybe next time they'd get another mysterious briefcase delivered to the office and a piece of paper could be inside? |

Charlie's eyes widened, his nervous laughter was ringing out in the room, trying his best to not gain the attention of Luna, because he knew why that suitcase was now delivered here. Although he was not going to tell her that, with a too innocent whistle, Charlie started to walk away with his hands in his pockets, hoping to escape in time... "Hehe, A pen!? What kind of silly idiot gets an ominous suitcase to deliver a pen, it's rather surprising and lazy..." Charlie turned back to Luna with a nervous smile, "Well see ya Luna, good luck with the Pen, I hope you find as much use for it as I did..." Charlie cursed under his breath, hoping that Luna did not pick up on his slip, he soon diverted his eyes and kept walking towards the exit. |
