I'm going to keep this very simple. As someone only interested in the roleplaying aspect of this world of ours, I am always eager to find new to promote holistic development of the roleplaying culture. I have built a bit of a war chest of credits over the past few months and am looking for ways to spend it on.

Some of it is being used for a Pass The Baton event in Philly that is currently underway, some of it will be used on an individual writing competition Adonis is cooking up. But I can afford to do more. If there is anyone out there with a well-structured plan that they are unable to execute because of lack of funds for the rewards, I will finance it and perhaps have other like-minded individuals help out as well. Sort of like a Kickstarter for Roleplay.

If someone has a unique idea for a business, an event or a competition, but do not have the time or the writing ability to make it a reality, I and my friends can help out with that. What I am looking for is ways to get more and more people involved in writing and roleplaying, so while linear threads are great, they don't quite apply here as such.

For those that require extra reassurances, none of this is politically motivated as many who know me will tell you of my apathy for ambition and politics. This place and the veterans here helped me develop a love for roleplay considerably when I was starting out and I simply feel it is time for me to add my humble contribution to the community.

Most new folk may get nervous about posting when they see many post, several being many paragraphs long. Some might say too long. I get the whole longer is better for cred. concept, but as one who was new recently, shorter makes it easier. Been in one of your contests before, (minimum 600 words) was a wonderful experience, made me want to write more.

I propose a contest that is 200-300 words or less. Short, simple and to the point. Same concept, round robin style, and following a writing prompt.

Mr Lang, if you recall, the previous contest I hosted in LA occurred at a time when the norm in the streets was multiple short posts. To separate ourselves from that, the decision was made to encourage a limited number of longer posts in the event. Nevertheless, I am happy to hear that participating in it encouraged you to write more based on your pleasant experience.

As for your proposal, if you could shed some more light on this, that would be great. Are you looking to organize this event yourself or are you suggesting we do it? If you are looking to organize it yourself, what scale are you expecting - within city/national level?
