Leo allowed me to use his church to host my lovely sister funeral, Leo's church had a nice scenery with mahogany pillars, chairs, and pedestal at the front of the church. Leo has helped me over the hours mourn my sisters death. I thought I would never walk the path alone. I thought me and her will last forever but I guess humans really aren't immortal. Seeing her in the casket wasn't real to me, I still couldn't accept the fact that she was gone. "Why Medea why" Kamille whispered to herself, clinching on the casket looking @Medea in the face. "Miss Kamille the people outside are ready" Leo said, ready to run the service. Leo opened the doors to the church allowing everyone inside sitting in the rows dressed in all black, As I wiped my tears and turned around to the pedestal. I adjusted the microphone looked the the crowd in attendance and slowly gain the confidence to speak. "Thank everyone for coming, as today marks the day of the death of Medea Cardenaz. She has been the best sister I can ever ask for. She was the best thing that ever happen to me, She was not only just a sister but a mentor as well. I am who I am today because of her taking care of me when I was young. She paved the way for me to make a name for our family and for that I will continue to make a name for us. I know this is a sad moment for us in New York but I know Medea wouldn't want us to be down, she would want us to continue pushing forward. With that being said Long Live Medea." Kamille walked towards the front row to sit down and waited for Leo to continue the service, Leo grabbed the mic and said a Prayer for everyone in the church and then allowed guest to say their speeches. |

Roper stood somewhere near the back of the Church dressed in a black suit and tie, this would be one of very few occasions that he'd ever wear something formal but for the passing of his friend and confidant Medea. He watched Kamille giver her eulogy to Medea and bowed his head for a short minute in remembrance. When Leo had given his prayers and opened the mic for guests to pass on their thoughts. Roper walked up the stage and stood in front of the microphone and removed his cap from his head and placed it on his chest and addressed the congregation. "Medea was a woman that earned my respect early on, She didn't take any insult or provocation laying down. This could be said twice over whenever she also had a glass of whisky in her hand" Roper smiled remembering the time they fully met in a bar out of town "However she never let her bold nature ever distract her from helping her family and friends when needed. I hope she is raising hell up in heaven" Roper gave a sad sigh when he was finished, He replaced his flat cap and walked off stage to join his boss in the front row. |

Representing Philly in the matters of New York, Charlie had dressed in all black, except that he wore a white business shirt. He did not know Medea personally or conducted business with her, but he had heard of her and knew that she was a guiding hand in the city of New York and Beyond. Charlie had personally driven himself to the funeral, with his Lincoln K Series Car and he had soon exited, looking at the cars that were parked around. With slow methodical footsteps, Charlie planned his goodbyes to Medea, it would not be personal, but he would allow himself to be known as a help to New York and Her Family, should they ever need it. Charlie never knew what it was like to lose family personally, considering he was an only child and his parents did not even give him the bond of family, instead it was another and he was glad that he found them. With a slow intake of breath, Charlie found himself walking into the church. His eyes had immediately searched for the Coffin or Kamille, knowing that she would be armoring herself like a Knight, but Charlie could often see through the looks of indifference or possible blankness, he knew what lay underneath, Charlie walked down the aisle, a lot of eyes of the New York Mob were on him, he did not pay attention, his eyes were solely on the coffin, finally he had made his way there and looked down with an almost emotionless look, but one could see the glistening eyes and sadness that were in his grey eyes. "It is always sad to lose a life in this thing of ours, sometimes we retire and live a life in Miami, other times, we take a bullet from an enemy or it is us, ourselves, that pull the trigger, not being able to handle the pressure anymore that comes with this life." Charlie leaned down, not so much that it would seem uncomfortable for the family, but enough that his whispered words could only be heard between himself and the person who laid there, almost as if she would be able to hear his words. "I know that you do not know me, or possibly, never heard of me. I just want you to know that I will help your sister and family with whatever they need, this is the promise I make, as a Pavanno and fellow honored associate of our society." Charlie moved away, before walking towards Kamille, who was in the front row, with slow steps and leaning down, making sure that this was a conversation only for them. "Whatever you need, Money, Houses, Cars, Business, whatever you need. I am a simple phone call away," Charlie made steps to sit in the shadows of the church, knowing that this was a Funeral for family and he was simply a representative. |

Saddest of them all must've been Nyenye, he had experienced Medea's kindness first hand as she was his sponsor from the very start. Nyenye was an unfortunate nobody when Medea invited him to the La Cardenaz family, she laid the foundation for the success that Nyenye would have never had if it wasn't for her. Medea taught Nyenye what it meant to be part of a family and what it meant to love and protect something with his own life if needed be and her absence left him with a void in his heart that made it difficult for him to remain sane.
This wasn't the first time Nyenye lost someone important to him but this surely was the most painful time of them all. Nyenye slowly made his way towards the front, where the coffin was. With an expression on his face that could only be described as true despair. His eyes squinted as if he was in physical pain, with his jaw clenched and blood dripping from the tooth marks on his lower lip, he was biting it as a distraction to stop himself from bursting into tears.
He saw Medea's body for a split second but he couldn't look for long. He immediately turned around towards the microphone stand. He stood there feeling grief, fury, despair and confusion. He opens his mouth and tries to say something but his voice cracks from the get go, Nyenye can't bring himself to say anything, he closes his mouth, looks down to his feet and 10 seconds later he starts to walk outside. He sits down outside leaning against the door and holding his head, Nyenye will be listening to what's going on inside from there. |
