| Personal if someone tries to kill you out of district | Started by: Rubix on Oct 16, '18 15:12 |

Wars are rarely waged unless you know you can do enough damage in the first wave, this makes it quite difficult for the other side that has no warning.
We currently have a statement that tells a shooter their target is unprotected in the city but not in the district you fired from. They quickly change districts and try again and the target has no idea until the shot is taken.
My Suggestion is this: When an assailant gets the message "Your target is in the vicinity..." the target also gets a personal and, assuming they are online and have a flight timer open, they can try to be quick enough to leave the area and have at least a little chance to turn the tides of battle.
And I know you might say it seems far fetched to give you notice that someone 8 miles away just pointed their gun at you, but yet we tell the shooter who is 8 miles away that the target is indeed unprotected and indeed in the city even though he has to take a taxi to another district just to see you. (Tell me it is more far fetched than walking into a coffee shop with 4 mobsters that all have 200 bodyguards standing around them.)
As always I want to hear the communities thoughts, it isn't a full idea and can still be tweaked or maybe certain conditions should be met with info stats or stealth, but I think the majority of people would enjoy having a sliver of opportunity. |

I love this idea. It gives the other party some time, or needs the attacking party to plan better.. But it shouldn't be like a wave of messages that 3 people are shooting three times an hour. So I'd say; Not when someone is proed; and max. once a minute? Or 5? |

I'm okay with this. I think there should be a 4 hour cooldown, and it shouldn't pop off if you are pro'd. |

(I imagine having to be in the same city as the person trying to shoot at you didn't need to be stated) |

I like the idea of trying to even the odds a little, I just question whether somebody could ever actually read the personal and travel before the shooter changes districts and shoots again, at least in a city with 2 districts. You can pretty comfortably change districts in 5-10 seconds. |

"You can pretty comfortably change districts in 5-10 seconds." True but to be fair, for most of us... it takes less time than that to fly out if we know we're being shot at and are actively paying attention to MR. |
