Hate to break it to you, but Taylor Swift is a hack. Her persona is 100% contrived and artificial. She did not grow up the dorky/humble/unpopular country girl she pretends to be. Her dad was a stockbroker, and she was a rich girl who grew up in a mansion in suburban Pennsylvania.
The minute she gained initial fame, she dropped her then-boyfriend for pursuit of fortune and fame... and then goes on singing songs about how she is a poor little country girl who couldn't get a guy to look at her.
