He knew there was a very high need for decent locks to shield certain activities that had to be done in Headquarters for the public eye, so instead of going to.. for example.. Seattle's Business District, DorianGray decided to open a store in the middle of the streets. He didn't have a business plan, he felt philantropic, eyeing less junk in the streets. He made a big sign on his doorfront, saying
and expected to have some visitors very promptly. |

Free locks? Now that was something to be interested about as you never saw anyone giving things for free on the streets. There must be a catch, Flo thought. She removed a wrinkle from her peach dress and decided to go inside. 'Let's see what this is all about' - she said as she walked through the door. |

Did she have any desire for a lock? A special object that apparently had the special ability to protect any intellectual property or prized possessions? Maybe so. But not really. Well, if she did have some burning need for a lock, it was probably just to keep away the candy she would hoard in her bedroom, away from her adored bosses like John and Bachelor. She kept the sweet treats in an unlocked, pink container that was secretly shoved in her closet. Her closet, because she didn’t think they would go through her clothes. All she had was formal gowns and flowery skirts, something she was sure they wouldn’t be particularly interested in. Although it would be funny to see Bachelor twirling around in a ballerina tutu – that she brought once for a costume party, but it didn’t end well when she realized at the end of the night people would be able to see her ass cheeks. Cutie began to chuckle heartily at her wishful thinking, and began to regain her composure as she focused on a sign that was positioned at the main entrance of an unfamiliar home. The word ‘free’ was the only thing that stood out to her, but as her eyes moved further left and saw ‘locks’, she knew something was up. For free? Was this person okay? Cutie never imagined giving away something as valuable as a lock – for free! This person must be extremely generous! She shrugged and smiled anyway, and walked in – asking for someone named DorianGray to assist her. |

While currently visiting Seattle visiting some friends Viscorio is staying at his old father's apartment, every night on his way to his apartment there was this building with nothing obscuring the view of the inside you can see the adventures that unravel in there that is not for the faint of heart. "Damn What kind of position is that? Poor girl, that house needs some security" Viscorio knew just the place his Good friend DorianGray opened up a lock store just recently, so one-morning Viscorio pops into the DorianGray's lock store and heads straight to the counter where his friend DorianGray is reading a magazine on the counter "Dorian, this building I walk past most nights some freaky shit happens in there and the door is wide open, I need locks and I need them now, 5 sets of locks should do, better be safer than sorry" Even though the sign says free locks Viscorio places $50 on the counter. "Oh, by the way, how is Florence You keep it behind closed doors right?" |

Oh God. He expected customers, but this was not what he expected when he opened the store! Within moments after flipping the door sign to open, his beloved Florence, cutie cutie and a very caring Viscorio stood there at the other side of the counter. Let's see what this is all about, Florence said in her happy voice, apparently not trusting the whole concept of giving away door-locks for free.. Hi Florence, DorianGray replied, I will tell you the deeper meaning in private, as I feel it's nothing to be discussed in public. DorianGray smiled as he shifted his look to cutie That is me, cutie, welcome... Do you have some Headquarters that have no lock on the door? DorianGray spread his arms wide to show all different sizes and types of locks in the counter. What would you like? As he gave cutie some time to think, he saw Viscorio enter, asking immediate assistence from Dorian. They are free, @Vicorio! It's for the good of the stree.. @Vicorio had already left |

Whilst walking through our grimy streets, Panda noticed that someone had plopped a makeshift business in the middle of the streets with a sign on it that read "Free Locks". Having recently experienced a break in and the theft of his personal mail, Panda felt the urgent need to secure his belongings and thus walked up to the counter to speak with DorianGray. "Hiya Dorian, I need something to keep people out of my mail. You got anything that would work for that? Maybe a C4 trap I can attach to the lid of my mailbox?" |

DorianGray was astonished with this free lock concept, as the most respected Panda of all walked into his lock store. Of course! DorianGray told PhreakingPanda It's a bit of a do it yourself, though. The business plan of this store does not include the assembly of explosives on locks. I tried to get it covered by insurance companies, but they would not cover if I blew myself up, so Random opposed to the prefabbing of C4's.. Dorian pointed at some of the larger locks, on a shelf on the wall Just pick one of these locks here.. Dorian smiled as he found that funny, then continued.. As for the explosives, I have stored them in a secure place. A safe place with a lock, to make sure not everybody can enter there.. |

Taking her usual route thru the streets she was not paying much attention when she ran nose first into a new business. After rubbing her nose with a frown and a lot of explicatives she glared at the doorway.
"Who the hell put this here?"
Reading the signage she scoffed. Free locks indeed. She wondered if that worked better than free candy signs. Down by the parks crazy old men hold up signs for free candy but the moment you approach they open their trenches and wiggle their pathetic junk at you. The very thought brought a shudder over her small frame. Worse yet they never give you the candy! So you stumble away blinded and candyless! Another suspicious glance at the shop from piercing blues. She could use a pocket lock to keep out grubby hands. Someone's always reaching in her pockets and staining her dresses with filthy handprints. Maybe this place has pocket locks. It is worth a try. Stepping inside with a flounce of skirt and a click of heels she approached the counter. If the guy running it is in a trench she is bolting. Eying the proprietor she finally sprouted a lopsided smile.
"I need a pocket lock. Maybe a heart shaped one! Do you have any candy by chance?"
What? She really wants candy now. Can not blame a girl for trying. |

Panda was no accomplished bomb maker but was sure he could figure out how to wire up a lock so it wasn't a big deal that his buddy Random wouldn't sanction the creation of such a device. He walked over to the shelf and picked the biggest lock he seen, assuming the bigger it was, the better it would work. "Thank you much, DorianGray. If you would send me the location of the noisemaker, that would be great. I really like this idea and you have come through for me buddy. Appreciate it." Panda pulls a mason jar of shine out of his pocket and swigs it real quick like, writing "TIPS" on it and tossing a wad of cash inside. He then sets the jar on the counter and walks out of the door, tipping his hat to Dorian. |

Having successfully found a back alley to store his art haul, Justice made his way back to the streets. Noticing a new store front, he went over to have a closer look. "Free locks" read the sign. "Awesome" though Justice "I've always wanted dreadlocks" Making his way inside, he was sourly disappointed. Just normal locks for normal locking needs. Oh well, he could do with a big lock to keep his ill gotten gains secure. Situated behind the counter was a man he had met previously in a very awkward situation. He had been very helpful that time though, so hopefully he would be again. Approaching the counter with a smile on his face, Justice greeted DorianGray. "Dorian my man, how's it going? I'm in need of several locks, there's a few doorways around these parts lacking security, including my own! Can't have people stealing these worthless forgeries from me now can I?" Noticing other customers looking at him, Justice quickly backtracks on his last point "Priceless paintings. That's what I meant." |

As DorianGray was still handling PhreakingPanda's big lock, the one that DorianGray acquired on an auction because he thought it would attract interest for his shop, Morphine_Dream entered. Dorian grinned at her, mainly because the lock was so damn heavy.. As he had handed the lock over to Panda, he wrote down the name of a location, the name of the contactperson and a secret code to let them know Dorian had sent Panda, before folding it up and handing the information over as well. You are very welcome, Panda.. Please be careful with the C4! Dorian smiled as PhreakingPanda put a tips jar on the counter. I need a pocket lock. Maybe a heart shaped one! Do you have any candy by chance? Morphine_Dream asked.. From the biggest to the smallest.. Yes, I have them.. Is there anyone in particular you want to keep out of your pockets? I can make them custom made for a specific hand size, if you wish.. As for the candy.. I know there is an old guy a bit further up this street, he may have some.. Otherwise just try some doors of HQ's that are open in the streets, they have all kinds of stuff to eat as well.. DorianGray thought It sure seemed the whole country was in need of locks! Apart from the ones that needed it most.. In came Ju_St_Ice, with a look upon his face as if he just found out that the art he stole wasn't just a replica, but a poor replica of a replica.. His face turned a bit happier when he noticed the wide array of locks that was on sale for free at the new store.. You are totally right, Mr Ice! It sometimes seems that are too little locks around in the streets. Hopefully we can change this. Please have a look in the lower cabinet, there should be quite a couple of decent locks for you there.. They will secure paintings in every price range.. DorianGray smiled as Ju_St_Ice altered his words about how precious his paintings were |

The previous day, Artie had been having trouble with the back door of his restaurant. The business with Tomicelli had found Artie coming in to find the door broken. A quick survey had led him to believe that his special cookbook was missing. He had never cooked without his special book in the restaurant. Perhaps it was the equivalent of Samson’s hair. Artie was worried. Would his skills desert him? Would he be left cooking beans on toast until eternity? Would be even manage toast? First things first before he went after Tomicelli was to fix his door. Well his lock. There was a joiner at Arkwright’s who fixed the door but could provide no lock. All of a sudden he remembered the lock shop that has supplied the great reinforced door for Calamity Central HQ. They were good He thought to himself. What a handy idea...DorianGray’s universal lock shop. Independent of city. Singularly everywhere. He walked in to the shop and saw Dorian dealing with a massive influx of customers. Artie just waited patiently in line looking at the wide array of locks available for all to see. |

"All hands of all sizes. No one hand in particular my friend."
The response was chirped out as she looked around. Spotting a purple lock on a shelf she grinned. She really didn't wait. Skipping over to grab it up.
"This one is perfect thanks!"
The locks were free but there was a tip jar. She plucked at her pocket and dropped some green in the jar. Soon she was vanishing out of the shop with her pocket securly locked. |

idlely walking by, confused as to why there was a busniess on the streets, wondering it was true if the locks were for free, as he went to open the door, but it seemed to feel like there was no door, or maybe it was just because it was wide open? he didn't know which, as he stepped inside, smelling an old pantry smell, he raised a brow, as he walked around looking, seeing the different locks. As he locked around, he flt confused, As to where everyone was at, or even if the place was even ment for those walking by or just specific people, he didn't know what to think, he wondered where the front cashier was, so he could ask some questions, he then proceeded to look at a weird lock raising his brow, wondering how they even came up with such contractions. He knew there was locks, but to this extent, and updated contraptions, and such as he looked through them, He looked up realizing his guards had followed him, a compliment from secra, he was never allowed to leave with out them considering he was immortal, and he was her's, she was like him over protective, he smiled shaking his head, as he saw the men surroundging him a little. He always kept himself consealed, he never really liked talking to people he didn't know, he wore his white leather outfit, he wore leather pants, and his shirt was a regular white t-shirt, and he had a white mouth mask, keeping his hair concealed, he whore a white sweater, with a hood, it had fire at the edge of lining of the hood, he stood up straight. "Sir...if secra finds out you are out again...unless you leave a note, she will kind of upset...why do you two always seem to sneak way?" One of the body guards asked. "To get a break from you...although if I wanted to I could just disappear, even though my destination isn't even for this place..although I don't see who works here, and it looks to be disrganized, and smells weird in here." He said, trying to be resepectful, as one of the guard went to go look for the owner of this place, he looked like a cute covered up tall kitten, as he poked through. "Yeah.. just buy what you need and leave this place, I don't like it when you come to these new places, you always seem to end up or being pulled into trouble, and you don't need that, considering, you have enough to worry about?" One of the guards spoke up, trying to keep him in a conversation, since Vezux didn't like speaking in public place, unless he had to. As he grabbed a couple of locks, went to look around for the front counter, he sighed, feeling annoyed. "What in the world....where is everyone?....I mean should I just put the money down on the floor? for this? i have to go..." HE let his voice fade out. "Yeah just put it...oh look there looks to be like a table with a jar, just put in there." One of the guards said, as Vezux turned and looked. Apon seeing a jar on a table, in the direction his guards pointed to, he walked over, and put in a wad of cash, and as the one guard that left to go look for some help shook his head, like no one was around, or not busy, he didn't know which, he as he left, he walked through what looked to be like a door, and disappeared, as his guards started to walk down the sidewalk, confused by the scene they had just came out of. |

Still crouching down and inspecting @DorianGrays wares, Justice noticed Vezux walk into the shop. He was a hard man to miss. An outfit or pure white with flames around it and guards hanging off him. Not exactly concealed. "Awesome" thought Justice "that's a real badass suit". Sighing to himself, he looked down at his hand-stitched outfit, a reminder that he would never be able to commission such a splendid suit. Busying himself once again with the locks at the lower cabinet, Justice found the perfect one that he needed. An old ornate piece, strong iron and sturdy. Taking it from out the cabinet, Justice placed it in his pocket. "Hey Dorian, I've found one I can use. Come by some time to see my paintings, I've got one you might recognise" he called out, with a smirk on his face. Placing a donation in the jar, Justice noticed that it had already filled up quite well. It seemed the Irish honour system was in full effect here. Walking out the door and into the bustling street, Justice headed to his next destination. It wasn't until he was ten minutes down the road that he realised there was no key for the lock. "Great. Guess I'll have to head back" |

DorianGray had been insanely busy doing other stuff, and it pained him that he didn't even manage to show Florence a smile. He did feel terrible about it. Artie! DorianGray greeted the man that once introduced himself by picking Dorian's pocket and after that, never tried again, as for as Dorian knew that was.. As DorianGray was busy helping Artie_Bucco, Vezux entered with some of Secra's bodyguards, who were all talking to him, apparently shielding themselves and Vezux from the actual world there was around them, as they seemed to think there was noone in the store, despite them passing Morphine_Dream, Ju_St_Ice and Artie_Bucco on his way to the counter where DorianGray stood. As the white-suited-man grabbed some locks, Artie_Bucco and DorianGray simultaneously sighed with relief. They exchanged looks, both clearly delighted that Vezux actually seemed to understand why the store was there, that he understood how important locks are in this world, that he knew some things needed to stay indoors. Hey Dorian, Ju_St_Ice said, I've found one I can use, before he invited him to come inspect a painting DorianGray would perhaps recognise. DorianGray was happy to have another satisfied customer, and got curious to what Ju_St_Ice was aiming at. What kind of picture is it, Justice? And Ju_St_Ice... You forgot the universal key to the lock you took! But Ju_St_Ice had already left the shop and didn't hear DorianGray's raised voice |

As he returned to the 'store' and stepped inside, DorianGray was happy to see all locks gone. He swept the floor, picked up an old, fumbled, business card from the ground, looked on it and smiled. As feeling his intentions had been good, he mumbled that he would hope these handed out locks will have their effect in the future. He grabbed the jar that PhreakingPanda had put there from the counter and on seeing how full it was, he realized how much of a succes the store had been. Dorian took a roll of tape and the sign he prepared and attached it to the glass door. He then stepped out, closed the door, put the lock in the door and applied a sideways pressure on the key, making it break. He looked back once more, saw the sign
and sighed a final time before moving back to the normal life in the shadows, just like where it all started for him. |

Justice hurried through the streets. It was a cold night, and he didn't want to be out too long. On his way past the lock store, he saw DorianGray putting a notice up. Slowing his pace to a halt, Justice read the notice carefully, taking in the information. Turning to Dorian, he patted him on the shoulder. "That's a shame buddy. Your businesses seemed to be taking off. There was a lot of buzz around you, and you certainly made it easier for me to show my face in public again!" Smiling at his friend, Justice decided to part ways with some advice. "Listen, one or two failed endeavors does not mean you need to give up! Let's make sure the next one really takes off!" |
